I cannot believe I’ve gone all this time not knowing this woman existed. I’m completely entranced. I could swim in her voice. It’s completely embracing.
Shahmaran is a mythical creature in Kurdish regions of the Middle-East. The Shahmaran is often depicted as a wise, intelligent woman, having female features above the waist and those of a serpent below. She is described as the queen of the snakes. When the Shahmaran dies, it is said that her spirit will pass to her daughter.
Phodilus It is only in the Kurdish. The word 'Shahmaran' consists by two Kurdish words 'Shah' which means 'King' and Plural: 'Maran', which means 'Snake' and together it's 'The King fo the Snakes'. It's a kurdish myth and not a turkish just because YOU recognize it. Turks don't even know the story of Shahmaran. Turks came from central asia and are a altaic nation. The Shahmaran myth is older than the Turkish people.
It is present in Iranian and Turkish cultures as well. Sevdaliza is of Iranian descent. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahmaran Shah is a Persian word. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shah Persia is the old name of Iran.
I think this is my fav. Slightly Egyptian. Arabic sounding. With classical piano in the background. Minimalist. Haunting. Breath. Flowing. Jazzy. Crystals. Electronic. Meditative. Trance. Ambiananc. Spanish. Myst/Riven/Exile. She's on another level.
I had my Auto play turned on RUclips and I happen to fall asleep and I woke up to this amazing voice coming out of my speakers and looked up to see this mind blowing video for "human" playing I've been a huge fan from that very moment, I love everything I've heard and seen from her, what a fantastic artist she is.
What about her purposefully going off-tune on some notes which somehow sounds so right that i'm going insane. On the words "pounds" and "deaths" and "pills" listen for this detail and wait for goose bumps
My general music preferences lie in that of any track that I find sexy. Sevdaliza... Thank you a million for providing not only sexy, but intelligent and insightful music. Your grace is that of a muse. Much love

Hyperopiate Critical attentiveness is key. You have to pay quite close attention from her pronunciation slurring constants and vowels, seemingly from inferenced words, becoming changeable.
@@NA-kt4wu she does not enunciates a lot of the times in many of her songs resulting in many variations and i believe she does it on purpose. Quite valid and brave of her

Since I haven't seen it mentioned in the comments: the piano intro is from Camille Saint Saëns's "The cuckoo in the depths of the woods". Love both songs tho ❤️
i danced to your song a couple years ago and i haven’t forgot you since. i found you again and i can say with certainty that you’re one of the most iconic people out there.
Omg does anybody noticed that these first chords are actually quoted from Camille Saint Saens "Le coucou au fond des bois" from the amazing piece "Le carnaval des animaux". Love this reference Sevdaliza... you re such have great taste in music
when i heard this i knew I've heard this before, turned out it was also on the suspended kid ep, titled underneath. I love this stripped version more somehow ❤️
I knew that sounded SO familiar, I was thinking of the tune from Shostakovich piano concerto 2, 2nd movement main theme, kinda sounds like the chords at the beginning but in the concerto that parts played in strings. But now I remember in Saint Saens, the piano begins that way, thank you!!
