Homunculus is a name given to a hibrid of a human and a beast. Something less then human. Sevda's characther is pregnant and experimented on. I think this video shows the way we misstreat women, how femininity is considered to be something animalistic. Misoginy is so deeply engrained in our society and this video is trying to represent the struggles of women and other people who identify on the feminine spectre. The scene with the pit is similar to the Garden of Eden,she is traped in a paradise for men's view, and this is why there are two hands holding her breast. The praying mantis symbolizes the way we view strong women as femme fatales, a danger to the patriarchal ideal of womanhood . While trying to protect her child she defies the archaic view of the woman being just a child bearer, submissive and quiet. She fights the system, she fights for the rights of her and her baby, even though other women try to bring her down(the two women who try experimenting on her) , even though the men hunt her. She tries to dance in order to free herself from the chains that hold her down. And in the end she is boiling with emotion and the only being symphatizing with her is an android, something considered less than human(but in the end proven to be more humane in comparison to the repulsive and insensitive behavior of mankind) ~This is my interpretation of the video and you are free to have different opinion than mine. I don't think humunculus is a merge between human and beast. It is more like a small human with weird limb proportions. In 17th century, some people believed it resided inside a sperm... :D

As an artist, a lot of the scenes reminded me of what I experience on a daily basis- me trying to create a safe space for my creative ideas, but having so many people around me, all trying to impose on my process and make me into something I’m not. In the end, I literally break down, and the only one who seems to have an emotional connection to me is the thing that I’m trying to escape from. I’m sure that’s not what Sev is doing here (because she’s usually on a completely different artistic level than me😅), but that’s the energy I’m feeling for it.

The mother, the Dahlia experiencing another's pain and emotions, self preservation and the agency of leaving behind the pain to escape, the visceral anger of an Agent and mother...the change to come. Humanity is not READY for this and I am ready to die for this art.

Then the robot Dahlia and Sevda stuck in the prison, suffering from containment and trying to break free from the chain and the pain of carrying, and at the end, the robot, those who do not know emotion, begin to understand and mourn the struggle. The way she moves, the eye contact, themessages and symbols, it is amazing and it makes you wonder what kind of emotion you and the others are feeling. It is beyond words but it can be _felt_ and THAT is what is amazing about it

Hey guys heres my interpretation of the video. I havent figured the whole thing out yet. Would love to hear your versions too! So my version is that Sev is a mother trying to bring up her child apart from society pressures. In the beginning she tries to escape society by going to a safe house to nurse her unborn baby but the police "assassins" still caught up to her. She probably is a single mom. Signified by the praying mantis on her neck. Those are known to kill their mates after sex. Which means its harder for her in this world as a single parent.. In the next scene, we see other women trying to convert her, hooking her up to medical devices and trying to inject her with something. Interesting how the younger woman looked unsure for a second, and they were desperate to keep her alive. So Sev distanced herself by walking into the solitude of the woods, by completely silencing "killing" herself from all humanity. However, her public image or "corpse" is still carried off by the military which I'm guessing is the "media and press". They created an undead version of her in the form of a robot. Disgusted, she looks at the mutilated robot who's ready to answer calls like a phone operator spreading propaganda. In the last act, we see Sev alone again. This part, I imagine is where she goes through child birth. Through the chaos and frenzy, she's still dancing through her painful delivery. Why the robot cries in the end.. I'm still undecided about. Maybe that version of "her" is trapped in an endless loop of woman enslaving other woman? What do you guys think? Happy to tweak and discuss my opinions 😍
The ending of this is truly amazing I can’t put into words how hauntingly beautiful this is. I feel like there’s more to the story and this deserves a part 2
This is my favorite song all time and I didn't think it could get any better. But it just did. And my mind is blown. Everything about Sevdaliza is so otherworldly.
It's such a joy to watch anything she does. A glimpse into what the future holds perhaps or some alternate reality/dimension. She has the ability to go beyond and bring back a piece of that for us all to witness in her art. That's just how I imagine her her genius creative abilities working anyways. She is able to perceive far more than the average person. Her depth is endless.
I love how Sev shares stories as music. Like little gifts packaged with bursting emotions and transformative ideas, given to the eyes and ears. Thank you for always pushing the limits Sev and for sharing your creative mind

There are times when it is really difficult to find the right words, when we fall in love or when we feel emotions so strong that we look for the right way the to express everything ... in the end it is enough just to let ourselves be carried away by our emotions as in the case. listening to the one who, in my opinion, is one of the best singers in the world. Listening Sevdaliza is like flying in a dimension without time and space where the word end is not known..almost to us humans.

Hey guys heres my interpretation of the video. I havent figured the whole thing out yet. Would love to hear your versions too!
So my version is that Sev is a mother trying to bring up her child apart from society pressures.
In the beginning she tries to escape society by going to a safe house to nurse her unborn baby but the police "assassins" still caught up to her.
She probably is a single mom. Signified by the praying mantis on her neck. Those are known to kill their mates after sex. Which means its harder for her in this world as a single parent..
In the next scene, we see other women trying to convert her, hooking her up to medical devices and trying to inject her with something. Interesting how the younger woman looked unsure for a second, and they were desperate to keep her alive.
So Sev distanced herself by walking into the solitude of the woods, by completely silencing "killing" herself from all humanity.
However, her public image or "corpse" is still carried off by the military which I'm guessing is the "media and press". They created an undead version of her in the form of a robot.
Disgusted, she looks at the mutilated robot who's ready to answer calls like a phone operator spreading propaganda.
In the last act, we see Sev alone again. This part, I imagine is where she goes through child birth. Through the chaos and frenzy, she's still dancing through her painful delivery.
Why the robot cries in the end.. I'm still undecided about. Maybe that version of "her" is trapped in an endless loop of woman enslaving other woman?

It's such a joy to watch anything she does. A glimpse into what the future holds perhaps or some alternate reality/dimension. She has the ability to go beyond and bring back a piece of that for us all to witness in her art. That's just how I imagine her her genius creative abilities working anyways. There are times when it is really difficult to find the right words, when we fall in love or when we feel emotions so strong that we look for the right way the to express everything ... in the end it is enough just to let ourselves be carried away by our emotions as in the case. listening to the one who, in my opinion, is one of the best singers in the world. Listening Sevdaliza is like flying in a dimension without time and space where the word end is not known..almost to us humans.
