Movie Summary:
College student Beca (Anna Kendrick) knows she does not want to be part of a clique, but that's exactly where she finds herself after arriving at her new school. Thrust in among mean gals, nice gals and just plain weird gals, Beca finds that the only thing they have in common is how well they sing together. She takes the women of the group out of their comfort zone of traditional arrangements and into a world of amazing harmonic combinations in a fight to the top of college music competitions.

And it doesn't do what they make it seem like here - it usually reduces your range and you won't be able to do what you used to vocally, let alone doing anything new like Chloe does here
@@realSimoneCheriethat's exactly right. I had nodes as a kid when I was going to a performing arts school and also performing outside of school. I didn't find it painful, but I had to go on vocal test for 3 months - literally, carried a pen and paper or dry erase board around with me everywhere and had to go for speech therapy. I didn't have surgery - just rest and therapy and they went away. But I've never been able to sing they way I used to. I have no range whatsoever. And this was in, like, 1995!
My sister had them about ten years ago. It made her sound like Kim Carnes.

I always loved Pitch Perfect - its awkward, it is weird but the quality of the singers and remixes and all is phenomenal

Nodes, the vocal nodules, are actually part of the reason that Julie Andrews lost some of her iconic range, if you compare some of her earlier iconic work and/or live performances, to some of her in her older years (Princess Diaries 2 is one that comes to mind). In 1977 she noticed some issues, and subsequently underwent surgery to fix or remove them, the node surgery itself damaged her vocal chords irreparably. She's still got an amazing voice, but it did sadly change her voice forever.
Fun fact: Everytime Anna Kendrick sang alone, she was singing live on set. She said in an interview "something sounds off in studio, so I preferred to sing live".

the riff off isn’t about sounding good or bad, the first word of ur song has to be the same as the last word they sing before you start singing, the first girl got cut off because she matched their last word with “ayy” which is not an actual word and was not the last word they sang
When the Asian girl says “do you guys wanna see a dead body?” It’s a reference to the movie stand by me. Also a very good movie
If you’re cool with a lot of hilarious shenanigans and hijinks, then you should check out the next two. They’re completely absurd and it’s fantastic, lol. A lot of comedy and a lot of jams. 🎶❤
I believe 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' was written specifically for the The Breakfast Club
Oh and by the way actresses of the redhead and the main character wanted them to become a couple but by that time they didnt get it through but they still tried to play a bit off of that
The Riff-offs in these movies are 1000% what sold me on them. Chick flicks or not, the musical aspect of these movies is killer

I only just saw the pitch perfect movies for the first time last month. I was also instantly hooked. They're really fun and I think all three movies are worth watching. My favorite song lineup is the third movie.

I love the first two movies. The third one isn't bad, it's just a different vibe from the first two. I think I like it as a movie but kind of dislike it as the finale to this series. It is absolutely worth a watch though, the music compilations are just as good as they are in the first two!

Speech pathologist here. Vocal nodules can grow on the vocal chords from overuse or misuse, as well as what's called poor vocal hygiene, but with vocal rest and changing certain habits they can go away as they are not permanent. Their evil cousin, vocal polyps, need to be removed as those will not go away on their own. If not removed, thats when you hear a raspy hoarse voice since the vocal chords can't fully close. Both of these would limit the vocal range (as Chloe mentioned for her upper register) and not extend it (her "bass") but for the film its just a fun way to cap off that piece of the story line.

Rarely do a second and third hold up to an original, but they’re still good and absolutely worth the watch/reaction. 2nd is pretty damn good and 3rd isn’t great, but it’s a good wrap up to the trilogy

you absolutly should watch them all. Most people seem to agree on them falling a little off from movie to movie, but i personaly like the second most. .. for the third one you shold be open or some change but if you are it can be very enjoyable.
