    When he came into the league, the Wings were the team that taught him how to win. Now his veteran leadership and experience is teaching them how to win. It's poetic.

      I think it’s a great fit for Kane. Young team that has a lot of talent. They should remain competitive for years to come

    He'll stay in Detroit since its win-win situation for both sides. He is still elite player and Detroit needs one for sure.

      I think a 2-3 year deal would be a good idea for both parties. Kane would get some security and the Red Wings wouldn’t be locked in to a long term deal with an older player.
      I think with Kane’s play-style, he should be able to remain effective as he continues to get older. Playing with some young talent will also bring out the best in him in my opinion

      I think it all depends on what kind of playoff run the Red Wings have this year. Yzerman is not going to pay more than he needs to on a 36 year old.

    Remember a few years ago during covid when the NHL had a play in round for the playoffs and no one wanted to play the Blackhawks because they had Patrick Kane? I don't think I would want the Red Wings for my first round playoff opponent this year.

    I was always optimistic about Big Daddy Kane coming to the Wings. Hip be damned, my understanding was that his greatest assets were his hands and his brain. Glad to see him doing so well.
    My bowling buddy knew him briefly years ago here in Ann Arbor, and he was at the Colorado game the other day to see PK get the OT winner. Envy over here!

    Appreciate the video but I was honestly prob one of the only ones who never doubted him. His iQ alone produces 40 points. Jsut knowing where to be. Especially in offensive zone. To then also put one of the most competive WINNERs ever to a task like this. He was going to attach that rehab. Fully trusted in him

    Sucks he couldn’t stay with the rangers a whole season. Think the whole pressure of does he still got it. What will he be like in the playoffs and most of all how would Kane and Panarin mesh once again. All that pressure led to both players underperforming. Panarin kept looking to pass to Kane. Until they were separated. Lost in the first round and it was over. I think if he had a whole season with the Rangers it would have been phenomenal. Glad he is performing well with Detroit. Think if I wasn’t from New York I could see myself cheering for the Red Wings. Kane does look happy in Detroit. He isn’t in the big city of New York with all that pressure even though he wasn’t brought here to carry the team the media sure didn’t help that feeling of him having to perform well

    How did we get here? Davidson is a classless clown, Tanking is doing figure 8s in the Neutral zone, while the other team cycles the puck in your zone! Love Bedard's game but the way this clueless GM went about Tanking for Bedard (and who ever he gets in the next 3 still Tanking drafts) set this organization back at least 7 years, more likely 12 years.

    Call me crazy but no one in their right mind betted against Kane or the Oilers at the start of the season.
    Kane has done exactly what was expected of him at the start of the season and that is coming in late to provide offense that will helps give the Red Wings a chance to make the playoffs and be a real contender. Predictions for the start of next season don't really change regardless of how deep the wings go in the playoffs in terms of him starting later in the season again. He will do what needs to be done for the wings to re-sign him and that might look like another one year deal or two year deal. Age will always be a factor but it is smart for teams to rest future hall of fame veterans like Kane till their services are required later in the season. It will be interesting to see how much he has in the tank if the wings make a serious playoff run but never bet against a guy like Kane. He could have hung up his skates after the hip injury but he wants to win and nobody knows his timeline better than him. One of the best is not to be bet against. The Oilers are knocking on the door like all the previous champions before them so it is just a matter of time. But for fans to have doubted them this year after a shaky start was laughable.

    • @TheLockerRoomYT
      @TheLockerRoomYT  7 месяцев назад +2

      The beginning of the season was tough for the oilers but they always had that talent on the roster to turn it around.
      Some people did question if Kane’s hip would hold up. He has looked solid and having a proven vet in Detroit for a few years would be beneficial for this young and talented team
