Revenge for not paying. Fences and pathway destroyed. These builders didn't get paid after lots of hard work fitting new fences and pathing the garden, this is what this builder done to get his things back and also get his revenge for it. Ultimate debt collectors.

Don’t you love how they can barely break their own builds because they make it so strong
Lol big rip

So the moral of the story is
We get what we dig
If nothing else, these videos help to show how sturdy your handwork is. Looked like a good solid fence

The construction was so well done they were having a hard time destroying their own work.
I heard of a mason one time who built a guy a fireplace and chimney. The homeowner paid half of the bill but kept giving excuses for not being able to pay for the rest of it. The mason waited until winter. The guy builds his first fire in his new fireplace and the house is immediately filled with smoke. He calls the mason to complain. The mason tells him to pay me for the work and I'll fix it. Seems the mason puts a glass window pane in each chimney just in case he doesn't get paid in full. When he gets fully paid he busts out the glass with a brick on a rope so the chimney will work.
THAT'S BRILLIANT !
Obviously that's a made up story, a good 1 tho but total bollocks

Sickening how this contractor had to destroy his own hard quality work because of a scummy client.
My grandfather was in the paving business. He installed a blacktop driveway for the customer. The customer refused to pay. While the customer was at work my grandfather and his crew tore the new driveway up and put the gravel back. It cost him to do that but he was not going to let the guy get a free driveway. Fortunately, I was in the auto repair business, no money, no car.
you're faster dropping diesel fuel on the asphalt; it ruins it.
And leave the mess behind so they must pay to have it removed.@@HeronPoint2021
My next door neighbour was in the paving business. A customer refused to pay for their new driveway. He showed up with a backhoe and a dump truck. There was an operator sitting in the backhoe and a driver in the dump truck. He knocked on the door and told them, "You have 60 seconds to write my cheque. If I don't wave that backhoe off, he's going to start lifting your driveway and loading it in that truck. That's still MY material until it's paid for. I'm not playing around. If the cheque bounces we'll be back and your driveway will be gone. No second chances". He got paid on the spot.
Lots of snotty so called middle class people really think it’s good , correct and cool not to pay the builders, I’ve had it myself, they’re smug , horrible twats, well done to you mate and I hope you’re doing ok
How though? How do they think it'll work out in their cretin heads?

I'm a contractor also.
This is the right way to handle things, Not court!!
Yeah court can be long drawn out and you might not get anywhere....this on the other hand 🤷♂️
@@os7073 🤡 😂 😂 OK. So you know if there was a contract in place etc??
@@os7073 trespass is a civil matter not a crime, no one’s ever been done for trespass
@@os7073 that is total bullshit, legally theirs when they legally pay the company they hired to do the job.
@@os7073 absolutely not. Until the customer pays for materials that shit belongs to the contractor. Just because i leave my car in your driveway doesn't mean its yours. Same thing goes with my lumber and hardware put into your fence and patio, it is mine until paid in full dont care if you made a deposit or not you dont own shit until you pay for it. Also im speaking from experience because ive done this on a deck i built and when they decided not to pay i decided i wanted my materials back when they tried to take me to court for damages they lost because i had a contract that had an estimate price in it and made sure to be paid by vheck and not cash so i had a paper trail of funds paid to me.
It's got to be heart breaking to have to destroy what you worked so hard to create (AND was bloody well made too!). The only response possible
That looks like a top quality job well done with quality materials. I'm so sorry that you weren't treated fairly. That looked like a LOT of fine work.
I have always been a hard working person having worked in many jobs including factory, farm work etc. I would be embarrassed and ashamed to employ people and not pay them. WTF is wrong with people!?
Can't imagine ever getting someone in to do a job and not paying them ? There are some strange people kicking about. Looked like you did a good job as well.
As a contractor I completely agree with what these guys are doing ! Some people are slim bags and they know chances are they will never have to pay. With years of experience you can begin to smell a slim bag the moment he calls looking for a free estimate !
My only worry, with the way the law works, can the homeowner sue the contractor for destroying it. It’s sad, but I gave up on the law and fairness years ago.
I know this man's frustration. customer's who don't pay up are the scum of the earth to a small business as he now has the foot the bill for materials and labour costs
Have to admit that this is probably the better way to deal with this, because the legal process takes too long and almost always fails to serve the victim against the arrogant and entitled thief.
THATS THE WAY YOU DO IT.
THESE GUYS ARE HEROS ..
Repossessing labor at it's finest. Bravo! Hint: Chainsaws work great on fence remodels!
Hell yeah i was stressed out this morning this made me feel better hell yeah guys
After watching this all my stress went away.
Most contracts say the builders retain ownership of materials until the bill is paid in full.
Now you know what that clause means.
I’m a contractor now in my 17th year, there are plenty of POS people in this world. They have no intention of paying from the get go. We love this video!
All that hard work and a great job by the looks of it. I feel sorry for you lads, you must have spent a fortune on materials and labour but at the end of the day if your not going to get paid you have one choice left. Rip it down !
Police driving by, lol.
Contractor: he didnt pay.
Cop: Well, fucking carry on then lads...
Great job guys👍 I remember years ago while we had internal jobs in Germany in private houses we done trick. Pierce small hole in egg or two and hide it behind boads. If contractor refused to pay we explained what kind of surprise waiting for you, to find it you will have to smash all boards or next 2 weeks.... imagine the smell :). When contractor made payment (cash only) that's take approximately 1 hour to remove eggs and cover holes. Only one guy refused to pay.
That’s a good one to keep up my sleeve 😂

fish, chicken and beef also work great.

Here in the US we have lean laws. Also a properly written contract 75-80% before completed.
@@mr.kenslifeshop4034 what do you mean by lean laws?
@@AmethystEyes if you don't get paid you can get a lien on property they then can't sell it without paying you, not be able to get loans as well.
I stand by the workers on this one, don't pay on time, well deserved
Customers who try telling you the price of your own work before you've even quoted them are the worst for trying to not pay. When I was plumbing, a dead giveaway was the homeowner saying stuff like "It'll only cost about £xxx for that... obviously". Like yeah mate, if you know so much just do it yourself then 🙄
I was writing up a quote for a guy on some plumbing and he did the same. "THE PART ONLY COSTS THREE BUCKS!". Ya, and 30 years of grey hair and mistakes. Find someone else.
Putting the shoe on the other foot, if you pay in advance sometimes you get sloppy work or not finishing the job. There are bad people on both sides of the fence because to some money is more important than integrity
Happened to me once. $5000 landscape job. Owner refused to pay.
Called him at home. No answer. Sent crew over. Dug up/removed everything and went back to shop. Owener called asking about his landscape job. I replied, "what job?"
Good work, before and after.
Seriously well built fence.
Love it. I’m a a 77yr old builder and have been close to doing that myself. Only once, but I managed to get a final payment out of the insane twat in the end.
My grandpa was a watchmaker. Very occasionally someone would refuse to pay after the work was finished on a watch, so he would simply “undo” the work. If he replaced a balance staff he’d smack the watch on the counter before he handed it back and break the replacement. If it was a regular cleaning he’d just put a drop of oil directly on the balance spring, rendering the watch completely non-functional until it gets *another* full cleaning.
If the same customer came back to have him fix the problem, he’d only charge em for the one repair if they apologized. They’d have to pay double if they were still an asshole though 😂
I'm a fence builder in Texas and that's was very nice work so sad it all had to come down
Good for the lads. Wont pay we take it away.
You can tell the work was very good because it was very hard to tear it down
A good way to handle the whole situation is to get the customer to pay as they go.
Treat each section of fence as a separate job. If there are multiple jobs, charge for them individually, or in sections
Red flag if they don't agree.
I did that here in the USA, homeowner didn’t pay for the fence. So my crew and I came back with chainsaws and took the fence back. The homeowner took me to court and the court told me to put it back up, even knowing she didn’t pay for it. I was pissed
Well we uninstalled a roof after the homeowner ignored paying us. They threatened court. We then talked it out after we said we would take them on a one way fishing trip. They let it go.
What would have happened if you refused?
Put in your contracts that if payment isn't done within X amount of time you reserve yourself the right to retrieve any materials used to do the work and to bill those hours too. Can say from personal experience that in Belgium this works wonders.
@@sheepsky The Court would have given them a hefty fine at the least and possible the fine plus jail time as well towards the worst. Plus they'd STILL be liable for the fence anyway and either STILL have to put it back up or likely have paid the homeowner to have someone ELSE put a new fence up. In a situation like this it's really up to the judge how it's handled. In America that is. No idea how this would be handled in other countries.
@@TVoltG No you didn't so stop posturing on RUclips.
This customer Frucked up,that was some great workmanship
Hmmmmm.
As a former HVACR contractor in the commercial markets, specifically in Canada, I don't know the laws in other countries, but yes, every once in a while, every business owner providing a service to the domestic, commercial, industrial, or institutional marketplace(s) we will ALL run into a wanker whom doesn't pay their bill, in full, for whatever reason. And I agree, my first thought is; "RIP IT ALL OUT"...
The legal issue, as I understood it is, our only recourse is to "lien the property within 45 days of the invoice" and if they don't pay, then take them to court... etc etc etc etc...
The problem when dealing with it emotionally like this is... the contractors can and will be charged and jailed for... wait for it... Trespassing.
Uh huh, Trespassing. And then vandalizing etc etc etc and YOU will be found liable to... return the job site, home... back to the pristine condition you built for the schmuck, or be liable, responsible, and accountable to pay for a different contractor to go onto the site to restore the work back to completion.
Yes. Oh yes. And not only did the schmuck bang you harder than a screen door in a hurricane, you'll be the one with the poor and crazed trade reputation, if you survive all of the costs associated with getting sucked into your customers game.
"We aren't responsible for our first thoughts, BUT... we are responsible for our behaviour after those thoughts."
Yes... it sucks, but that is exactly why deposits, and payments schedules are in place.
Happy CON-tracting everyone.
refused to pay and that's what happens - - absolutely hilarious
Rock solid installation 💪 see that caveman looking lump with the sledge and the other two swinging off the fence and the fence was just laughing at all three of them like "is that all you've got" lmao 😅
Thumbs up from me guys ! !
So sad that dishonest people have work done, never planning to pay for it. They plan all along to find a problem, ask for a discount, or just refuse to pay. I’m glad this guy removed/destroyed all the beautiful work. It was only fair.
No sympathy for the homeowner. Either they knew they didn't have the money and couldn't afford a job that big before they started, or they just plain won't pay even if they do. Either way it was very likely premeditated to try to steal the builder's material AND labour, so they got what they deserve. A great big mess. Good on the builder when the courts these days would never help him.
I tell you what , those lads that built that is bloody good . They did it that well they can’t get it down , it’s ALL SOLID. Shame because they made a brilliant job . WHY CAN’T PEOPLE JUST PAY . They have lost loads of money and THEY have to live .
yeah i,ve heard of a simlar thing to do if when putting a new chimney pot on for someone, where i,ve heard they used to put a bit of glass covering the flue under the new pot,if the people paid, well the glass was broke, but if they refuse to pay, then leave it in place,it ov smoke the house out when they try to lite the fire
This has happened many times before. The customer refuses to pay. The contractor comes back and smashes down all the work they did. In some places this is illegal. The contractor can take a lean on the house, and after a certain period of time the contractor has the right to sell the building in order to be paid.
"Self-help" of that nature is illegal in all of the civilized world. You can't enter private property without the owner or tenant's permission, absent a court order authorizing it, or some literal emergency involving imminent danger to a person or property.
As you correctly note, there's a legal process involving lien's and lawsuits to deal with this stuff.
Yeah, I like to lean on my house, which has a lien on it.
How I would love to have such quality work done in our yard. I’d gladly pay. Most jobs going on here in Northern CA are done by unskilled labor working on the cheap for crappy developers/construction outfits.
Get paid half up front, when you've done half, then get the other half up front and finish the job.
You can trust a reputable builder.
How do you trust a customer you've never met.
What happened, the customer said they refuse to pay and wont pay later? Then they expected to keep all the stuff?
Yea and they will unless you sue them then win then maybe they pay later.
We don't know the full story, maybe the price doubled? Maybe some other details we are not suppose to know.
Good job ...I'm 100 % agree😊
Twatting things with a big tickling stick is so therapeutic.
😂 that’s a good way to put it 😆
I would absolutely love to work with crew like this. Thus is awesome. Love it.
In Arizona, once the materials are attached to the property, we can not remove them. We have to file civil lawsuits and place liens on the property to recover our moneys due. But the law does include that the customer has to pay our legal costs including lawyer fees if we win in court.
That must have been satisfying! My grandson loves to do demo work....he would have loved to help rip it down!
I had a contractor who had about $1500 worth or EXTRA material I paid for, he thought he could keep it....So I locked my gate and until he put my materials down off his truck, his truck and my materials will stay right here. I went in and had dinner and by the time I was done he had everything off and wanted to go, he knew I would have never let him out LOL.
Good for you boys! Too bad you didn't get paid, it looked like great craftsmanship!
Wow that is a good advertisement for how sturdy your construction is. Looks like solid work
What a shame. These lads have families to look after. Shame on the customer.
Cant do this in America. I really dont understand why people want to do contracting anymore. Too many fees, regulations, and crazy entitled people. Lets not forget the rates for insurance. In reality, the contractors are barely making it financially. Damn shame.
Serves the owner right!
Aw, I wish there was a way to take your supplies back and not destroy them.
It's all cut to size and made to fit for that location, so not much reuse without more effort than it is worth in most cases
Well done guys if they don’t pay 👍
Overkill ! Worked demolition, and part was salvaging material. However, I have known contractors who lost everything playing with courts. Best wishes ❤️. Your employees deserved the feel boss 👏.
I understand smashing things because they didn't pay you and it is yours, but if it is still yours why ruin it and not just take it all back and use it on another job? At least then you would be out less money in the end....
why don’t contractor do it such that you get paid by parts, set expectation early on with the customer.. keep collecting a fifth of the total as you progress.. this is what we do in Asia.. also, we ask the customer to pay a min each day so that contractor can pay labor
I've now watched this so many times it gets better after each watch.
That shafter even had the cheek to film ya taking your gear back. Pmsl
Self employed for 40 years, I understand his anger, but in Georgia, that will get you 3-5 years in prison and you will have to pay for the work to be replaced, plus the clean up costs and a lot more.
There is no prison time if the contractor bought the equiptment you theif!
I wish I was there to help you all 🙌😂😂😂
Man id hire them right now if they can build a fence that strong man dang.
I love watching this. I am a self employed general contractor. I am so sick of being ripped off by these asshole customers. 2023 alone I got burned for almost ten thousand. We get ripped off way more than customers get ripped off. I guarantee you.
I take it’s too late to mention she gave me the money to pay you and I forgot …… sorry 😂
Many people try to trick tradesmen as fools. This is what happens when you go break your deal with these guys. Simple as that
You guys did a cracking job on the fence and patio before you smashed it
They should use this as their promotional video, great work guy's, if you don't know how to get it down with a sledge hammer no one else will break it.
Sad but I agree with these men who wouldn't hand their work over for free to someone who never intended to pay them in the first place. I hope gofundme will step up for them
I would love to know the full details. Like how was it priced? I have seen so many con men charge 2-5x the going rate of their work. He just seems like one of them people. They are probably better off letting him waste his time removing it all and getting someone else in to do it for a fair price
He will be in the wrong at court.
Well done lads !!!!
hey fellas you done a first class job it must be heart breaking to smash up your own good hard work, them customers should be totally ashamed of themselves

Strong work gents.
Fair play, would've done the same. Quick question though... Could you not have used the slabs again for a different job? Just hate to see that you've wasted so much money on materials! ☠️
I suppose that sometimes sending a message is more important.
I really don't get why they are smashing it all up. As the customer won't pay that means that all the fencing panels and tiles are still their property so why not disassemble and take away to be used on another job.
This just looks like a temper tantrum. What a waste of time money and materials.
Should have switched on brains.
With lumber prices right now. I would’ve paid you half price to keep it intact and give it to me..

Let that @#£! clean up the mess. Well done, lads.
We where in the building trade for 20 years. The ones we found who wouldn't pay where the the one's who could afford it, and that is why they are rich because they don't pay.
Ummm….give me a half day and I’ll salvage all the fence boards. Many of those tiles could have been lifted intact.
