Nice bike glad you posted it. I had a 68 650 Bonneville chopper back in the 80s wish I wouldn't have sold it . I paid 200 bucks for it and sold it in 97 for 3500 .they are definitely awesome to ride. Stay safe and keep riding !!!

I put a couple of rods over to the left side to create a hand shift and foot clutch on the left as well . Made it a lot more fun to ride. Beautiful bike . Makes me miss mine.

A very nice example of the style! I liked the portion of the video featuring the ride. It was quite cinematic and it coincidentally gave a clear view of how much the the front suspension had to work.

We need more British iron content!! Liked and subscribed my dude. 1955 Royal Enfield chopper rider here in California. No front brake and jockey shift but I have linkage foot right hand side brake and left side foot clutch and shifter. Couldn’t get the hang of left foot clutch and right hand shift. Have fun man and ride the hell out of that beautiful machine!

Another thing too on my mirror I run it off my riser instead of my zbars due to spacing like you mentioned.

I love it. Very, very cool bike. Just wish there was a small front brake on it. Hopefully the back brake is good. I've ridden Harley Panhead choppers with springers & no front brakes and they can be dangerous. The springer can start to pogo after big bumps & if you are in a turn you got trouble. Make sure the legs of that springer are bolted tight and check them frequently. Had one of those come loose once but at low speed. If I had been cruising I would have wrecked. I've been down several times after 56 yrs of riding. O\The worst was on a 1970 Shovelhead FLH. Most everyone goes down at some point if you ride long enough. I took a Summer off in 1995 and rode a 1974 Sportster XLCH across the country from New York to Washington State. I stopped frequently and had a ton of adventures and made some good friends as well as getting into a barfight with a couple of Wyoming cowboys. Ended up writing about that Summer. Life is one big adventure. Have fun. I'm still riding at 72 yrs old. You're young. Please stay safe out there. Great bike.

Thank you! One of the spring rods actually sheared off last fall i was able to pull over quick enough, ive since fixed it and and ride it occasionally! I have a harley dyna, and a honda bobber as well so i alternate!

@@bayviewbud1539 Yes, that's scary when that happens. I don't ride choppers any longer. Riding a Royal Enfield 500 thumper presently. Still put a few thousand miles a year on. Back in the old days we were all crazy and partied like hell and rode bikes. Made it through somehow.

totally impractical + tons of safety issues but it certainly makes a statement. love the unmistakable sound of those older triumph twins. my first bike was a '58 tr6. was quite the learning experience for never having ridden before. also, Z-bars are a state inspection red flag where i live. keep on rollin'.

Thanks for posting the clip, it's a lovely looking simple bike. I live in the U.K. about 30 miles from Meriden where the engine would have been built. There is a company called Vertex which make dry sealed motorcycle batteries in black which you bight be able to buy in Canada.
