He does it with such callousness there at the academy only to realise it later in the battlefield..
Like the thought put into the tactical thinking in this scene. First the softening of the target... followed by supporting fire followed by Assault group. Perfect tactics
@K P lol what?? I dont think you know anything about their squad tactics. Also, if so, why would they have man portable mortar, artillery and machine guns, all of which are necessary for infantry to attack a fortified position. One more thing, German dis just fight in open plains but in mountains too where tanks cant reach.
@K P Hahahaha.. well that tell me that you know shit about combat and shit about making an argument. You people are gawar and your last comment proved it strongly.

Yes… still there are a few criticisms - I feel no music would have been the best. And And also when firing assault rifles trained soldiers don’t shoot in full auto. They usually shoot one bullet at a time(check encounter footages of RR squads in Kashmir)
LMG firing is very real guys I am in Territorial Army and as you can see the bullets going towards it targets are the live ammunition. In night you can find out the enemy location just by looking the fire from the gun and flares like bullet coming form which direction. But I would recommend you to consult a doctor and go for a surgery

This Movie is a masterpiece as its very realistic in every sense. a 20 year old, taking life for granted, lands up in the Army, and goes through the difficulties
I think the dhava scene in the end is the most iconic scene of the movie, don't get me wrong, like most of us, the rock climbing scene is my favorite too especially with the music, but the dhava scene is culmination of a journey for the lead character, it shows a person can change, and change for fulfillment, change for a higher purpose.
Not just the last scene where Hrithik's character charges towards the enemy, in fact the entire sequence is filled with scenes where soldiers doing things that they were taught in training... like scene from 3:04 to 3:09 the way a group of soldiers crawl towards the enemy bunker - the training for that scene was shown during the title song.
This battle sequence never gets old, When I first time saw this battle sequence it was imprinted in my mind that this is how mountain warfare is fought, I mean the first contact with the target was too easy but in the same movie, they honestly showed sometimes terrain can be your greatest enemy and the same as shown in the Late Capt. Vikram Batra's Biopic shershaah...

This battlefield field action scene is relatively more accurate than other Bollywood movies but there is some mistake, at the start of battle, after artillery fire they have engaged enemy with LMG firing which is huge mistake as it grabs huge enemy attention when you want to attack stealthily...
