    Featuring - Farhan Akhtar
In today’s episode of Figuring Out, actor Farhan Akhtar chats with Raj Shamani. Farhan, known for directing films like "Dil Chahta Hai," "DON 2," and "Lakshya," has also showcased brilliant acting in "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara," "Dil Dhadakne Do," and "Rock On." They discuss "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara," societal conditioning of men, and cultural influences on their behavior. Farhan shares his thoughts on being an Alpha Man, early career stories, the story behind the making of "Dil Chahta Hai," dealing with depression after "Lakshya"’s failure, and creating "DON 2." He also recounts childhood memories, college days, and his entry into films.
Towards the end, they delve into Farhan's travel experiences and the importance of goal setting. The conversation wraps up with why Farhan chose Ranveer Singh for "DON 3," his decision to cast Shah Rukh Khan in "DON 2," and what makes SRK exceptional. Nothing can match the authenticity of lakshay. It has encouraged and made a life of many boys including me. Any Aspirants, who has undergone SSB process, must have watched lakshay many time. In my College days, dialogues of lakshay were in our tongue especially "boys have done it" "bilkul fail" and many more. Even if we take its lyrics and melodies, do we have any substitution about its perfection.
Farhan might have thinking from commercial purpose as witnessing not good response after giving a mega hit like Dil Chahta hai, would have caused him to go into depression.
In the same breath, I want to highlight the concern about the Indian film market that most of the India audience want to watch the good content and often complaint about lack of availability but ain't it is a responsibility of ourselves to give a response to good content. A film without head and toe are getting hits but film like laapta ladies has to be released in the OTT.

Lakshya was probably the Saving Private Ryan of our generation, as a 13 year old I had little idea about the business aspect of cinema but I loved the movie probably more than Border, the reason why gems like these were not accepted by the masses was because it did not play into the stereotype of nationalism, and instead demonstrated the true nature of war, definitely one of my favourite movies.

Every one seems to have a favourite scene. I loved the dialogues. Preity Zinta: " To zindagi bjar intezaar karungi"

Re release the movie. It still feels fresh and inspires you to serve the country. It became a template on how to make a movie on the life of soldiers in indian army. Motivated a generation to join the army and serve the nation.
