When Starc play in the match and Lyon turns the ball very much outside off for righties. The rough marks created by Starc from over the wicket is very useful to Lyon also especially in 4th innings.
Josh Hazlewood has been absolute exceptional and at his level best as he took 3 crucial wickets including the skipper Joe Root.Rory Burns made it look his class but couldn't quiet stretch the scoreboard longer.I think England would avoid a follow-on due to the fact that they require just 98 runs and Ben Stokes the English Superman is still standing on the crease.
I saw many Indians wanting Starc in the playing XI. He's in now and is the weakest among 4 bowlers. Test cricket is about consistently accurate line and length bowling rather than an occasional fast yorker or bumper.
Both can be an effective weapon. Bouncers are undoubtedly useful against players who are bad against the short ball, which includes half the English team. Yorkers are okay as a surprise weapon and tailenders may struggle to keep it out. Starc is not a bad Test bowler and can move it both ways, but he is currently out of form.
To be fair, the pitch wasn’t exactly in his favor. Even archer struggled for pace. It might just be a pitch issue. Also keep in mind it’s his first test, needs confidence.

In last test match Warner came up with new catching strategy i.e. get you full body behind the ball instead dragging the ball towards you. But in this match he didn't use his own technique and miss a catch in confusion. Difficult to understand that.
If you have a proper look at that Stokes LBW shout the FIRST point of impact had shown the ball sliding down the leg side missing the wicket. For WHATEVER reason the DRS decided to take into account the deviation of the first impact and then made its decision on the second impact. Thus concluding.......... it may have still been out but what an innings eh! 😉
