Just a bit of info from a career Deputy/Coroner and Medical Examiner Investigator. I have found that most (not all) suicides with semi auto pistols result in a malfunction. When someone is shot at close range to the brain, it causes a “limp wrist”. This causes the gun having nothing firm to cycle against. I usually find the hammer down (obviously if not a striker fired gun) with the expended casing still in chamber. It’s one of the first things I would look at when working a scene of an alleged suicide with a firearm. It’s not an always, but with other evidence, I’d be suspicious the gun chambered after being fired. I’m curious that there was no gun shot residue? That’s an automatic. WTF? It should be on his clothes and even the sleeping bag. This isn’t crusty investigator stuff, this is first day on the job stuff. You have every right to be suspicious. It doesn’t smell right.

I met Job at a house party, months before his death, as his best friend lived in our new development ( Pennsylvania). He was very quiet, kept to himself, but was very nice when talking with me. The one thing I did notice about him that day was, there was something definitely on his mind, as he was just pacing around by himself. I served in the Navy, been around Seal's before, but my encounter with him was different. After his death. I asked his best friend "what happened", and he was simply at a lost for words. My condolences still go out to his family.

I really haven't had a problem with most this gentleman has done or said but to act like Shawn Ryan should be arrested come on, Shawn used his story to show how dark of road he went down abusing drugs and selling them in Columbia when he lived there to show guys you can recover, hell I use to use and sell drugs at a point before I joined the Army and ive now retired from the Army and now work at a all male drug rehab facility to help others, but I'm sorry that statement in my opinion is far fetched. This guy even in this podcast is going back and forth about crap, he's against steroids then when he gets push back he says look I don't really care, well obviously you do you brought it up.

A few things. I get redemption, we are all human and we fuck up. But theres levels to this. Selling dope is over the top, especially if youre not repentant about it. Second, I dont think Matt is disingenuous re steroids. I think he just doesnt care either wauly because thats not his focus. His focus is finding out what happened to his friend. Between this, Roberts Ridge, SSG Melgar, Gallagher's men, Shipleys issues, Rob Oneill, the lone survivor story, Bruiser and other situations, it does seem like the SEALs need scrutiny. Kudos to you for straightening things out and doing the right thing, but your pov seems misdirected w Matt.

You fill a little baggie with a few pills with the med name and dosage info on the outside with a sharpie or you hand them out to the guy as he needs them. Having pill bottles in the combat zone is sort of weird (not impossible, but weird) This is getting shadier by the minute.

The Captain of b.u.d.s training came from team 6,Andy Stumph former team 6 ,Don Shipley, Mike Ritland, Eddie Gallagher all former seal instructors, that you let your guest shit on them, without either one of you correcting him. What about its mandatory for some team members to be instructors, healing from injuries, family situations ,different deployment times. Why don't you do a podcast on why Eric Flemming served 27 years and never got passed the rank of e-8. Why not look into his background, as you do with other service members

Cubbler- why besmirch Shawn Ryan? Does nothing to the value of this podcast. And during the Kelly interview, he never admitted to being an international drug trafficker. His words to describe his activities - like embed himself within organizations to see how far he could get- seemed pretty well thought out. Not only that, can you say, definitively, that he was NOT working under noc? Do you know for a fact that he was NOT working for a different agency? I think the point of this podcast is about Cmdr Price and dragging Shawn’s name into it saying he was “basically an international drug trafficker” and “why isn’t he in jail?” is pretty low man. I’m sure this research takes you to some pretty dark places, I’d just be mindful of potential cognitive bias.

No, I don’t approve of detraction. Idk if this is technically since Shawn’s talked about it online, but it’s pretty damn close. Matt, you asked why he’s not in jail. You likely already know the answer. And what good would jail serve? He’s a husband and a father, he’s built a successful business, and he helps thousands of people every day who are suffering. He talks openly about his faith, finding Christ, and he was recently baptized. I don’t see anything positive in sending him to jail or publicly calling for it. In fact, locking him up would be detrimental to his wife, kids, and all the people who listen to him now, or will in the future. And for what? What do we get out of that? It just doesn’t make sense man.

The way Matt talks about the video where Shawn discusses his drug trafficking was very misleading. I encourage people to watch it themselves. Shawn does not talk about it in a positive way whatsoever. It is obvious that Shawn regrets doing that and is probably paying for it mentally behind closed doors. I respect that, out of a 3hr episode he might talk for a total of 15-20 mins total in that 3hrs. Which is pretty unheard of for an interviewer, that and he really doesn’t talk all that much about his time in service there’s no boasting or glorifying his achievements or his stories it’s pretty cut and dry and he’s very tight lipped, I kinda put him in the same category as Andy Stumpf, in terms of their portrayal and comments of the seal teams. Basically not making them out to be these indestructible super hero tactical geniuses , they put more of realistic portrayal of that organization, they don’t talk bad about it but they don’t necessarily praise it either.

They should open up a Brick and Mortar Coffee shop here in town. I'll manage it and have that place pulling in bank.

@jacobdelmonico1323 with all the police and military and first responders pensacola has, if they opened a FRCC shop downtown, it would be ridiculously profitable if ran correctly.

@@JR-wo3sn plus I know a lot of people who are patriots and would love to have their coffee on the shelves or brewing for customers. I’d happily go door to door promoting it to any and all businesses that serve anything. Hell the doctor offices with the free coffee at the front desk. I’m talking about everyone brother. Screw these evil mega corporations

Throwing a bunch of shade on all seals or special forces isn’t gonna help him get to the truth. I would bet anything that nothing good comes out of this guys crusade. He may be well intentioned but it’s time to take a new approach because the scorched earth approach is gonna make sure he never gets what he wants. Notice all the “sources” he has he “won’t” name and they won’t come forward makes me wonder if he is making the sources up

Listen “Brodie” - I have gotten farther with that approach in the last 6 months than in the 5 years prior. So everyone can go kick rocks with their professional opinions. I will do whatever is necessary to achieve #justiceforjob.

The entry wound alone is enough to raise some eyebrows. The lack of stippling at the wound and the unique circular marking near the wound suggests that a can was pressed against JP’s head. This whole incident smells incredibly fishy.
