What happens if you leave the alternator in a different spot ? I felt like the belt I was using was a bit smaller so I was sketchy about putting the same amount of tension. The car still starts but I think I hear a small noise not sure if this is the was it should sound
What a pain in the neck, v belt style tensioner and a serpentine belt, wasn't very fun trying to get that altenator to move considering it has not been touched since 2012, thanks for the video though
Perfect level of explanation for a serpentine belt 👌
Thanks! Very good directions.
Amazinggg very Good explained
Gracias mercy Thanks nice Video i will change mine at 75000 miles

Agree . Prehistoric set up. almost as bad as the old prybar adjustment days
@@fupabox not that, it's a decent setup but they should have greased the adjusters a bit
How tf did you get the belt on lol I’m still here stuck like a mofo
Very good explanation to go with your video. But it's difficult to see what's happening because your arms are often blocking the camera.
How old was this car and about how many miles?
2014 about 80k miles
Did this belt need changing or was this just a maintenance thing.?
@fupabox is safe to say I need to change mine, I'm at 125,000 miles..
This video dont work for a 2017 Hyundai elantra SE
2010 doesn't even have a serpentine belt
Depends on the options on your car . Some have regular v belts , some have the serpentine belt .
@@fupabox I didn't know that. I have a 2010 and it's not serpentine.
We see absolutely nothing.
FAIL
Did it wrong bro. You have a tensioner for a reason.
These cars dont have a tensioner
This is exactly how you tension it - it's a manual tension system.
