A yoga workout that’s actually made for men. This workout focuses on building strength, improving your balance, and increasing mobility - it’s more than “just stretching”. It also provides modifications for inflexible guys, so you don’t have to be as flexible as a yoga instructor to benefit. You’ll also get in-depth technique instruction, so you can be confident you’re doing the exercises safely and effectively. Enjoy!
This workout takes it up a notch. We start off with a variety of basic balancing exercises to strengthen your hips, ankles, and core and then move to full body exercises to build strength, endurance, and mobility. These postures target your hips, but you’ll get plenty of spine, back, and shoulder work as well. I recommend having 2 blocks and a strap. If you don’t have those, you can easily use a stack of books, foam rollers, or two water bottles for the blocks, and a belt or dog leash for the strap. -

I've been looking to do Yoga for a long time, but didn't know where to start and was uncomfortable starting to learn in front of others. I went through 2 major surgeries last year to save my life that were invasive leaving scars/scarring from my lower abdomen upwards to just below my pecs. So, I lost a lot of the core that I had as a healthy/fit individual. To make things worse, I work from home and sit most of the time as well, taking breaks every few hours to stretch. However, I still tend to experience quite a bit of tightening in my lower back and can feel a bowing of the lower spine and know I need to strengthen my core & lower back to prevent further damage. I'm enjoying your videos thus far and didn't realize what a workout they truly give. Even in this video...I was sweating just from the rebalancing, strengthening, and stretching of the muscles along the ankles, calves, hamstrings, glutes, upper back, etc. I will say I was experiencing some lower back tightness after this workout but know that is due to more core work needing to be done for me, as well as straightening of the lower back during these poses. I want to truly THANK YOU for making these available for someone like me who isn't comfortable in front of others, living on a fixed income who can't afford to pay for in-person yoga classes with rising costs due to inflation. I look forward to being able to do these poses on my own in the future well enough so I am comfortable in front of others and will be able to gradually increase my strength routine. Your content and this channel are AMAZING. Please continue to help others reach their health/fitness goals.

Been very inflexible for years and have tried other yoga periodically but never been able to stick to it as the poses were impossible for me. Ended up hating it. But have found your approach and explanations really gettable and heavens I now find I look forward to the sessions and almost a meditative approach. Thanks for making this so accessible. By the way my golf game is also improving, maybe it’s because of more core strength and flexibility. Big thanks Dean

Done yoga on and off for years but have never stuck with it. Always end up finding some of it good some of it not so good. This seems to be different and am finding it really making a difference to my strength, my flexibility and overall physical and mental well being. Equally importantlly I look forward to doing it and have stuck with it. Find no.1 is great in the morning (not a morning person) to limber me up and then I do a different session each day in the afternoon. 61y.o and just feel great. Really enjoy your teaching style as well, so big thanks, life is fab.

Started Yoga back in college, have done it off and on for the past 8 years when I started taking weight training and horseback riding. Has really made a difference in my recovery time regardless of the season of life or how intensely or minimally I was exercising.
I'm not sure if I've had enough experience to gage if traditional yoga is different than this tailored workout for common issues men face. However I do appreciate it and have lower back pain from poor posture and at work and during my workouts. This was one of the first times I felt real benefit from lunge pose and the blocks boosted my confidence to try more advanced stretches. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and I look forward to your future videos!

I’ve just come back to find these earlier videos (wow! There are so many great workouts here!) It’s amazing that the more I do of these workouts, often doing the same positions, I feel new areas of inflexibility in my body, improvements in strength, changes that feel good… it always takes me a while to get into something new, and although I’ve been doing these workouts on and off for a couple of years, I’ve only just started doing them every morning, and they’re fantastic!!!

This was great, some of the tips would be helpful before we get to the other side as I realized my form may have been a little off on the 1 side than the other when it was mentioned about the proper position or what to look out for. My hips and legs feel great afterwards! Thank you for doing this as this yoga works better for my body.

Hey buddy and thanks for the video. I´m an old dancer, around my 50´s and am taking up yoga to keep some kind of body action as dancing doesn´t really work anymore. I did this one today and loved it, maybe it was a little to slow for me but I do love how you explain and talk through most of it. I will however keep searching for a more of a "flowy" video, I like when it goes a little faster with a little bit movements in it, maybe because I am used to dancing. Thanks again and as a little ps, I REALLY felt and enjoyed it when you sad " Good Work" at the end of one exercises, I really needed to hear it right then 😉

This was super tough but it felt really good to stretch out the hamstrings. The rotation when in warrior pose revealed a real tightness in my back despite keeping it straight - I have a long back and sit for most of the day so I'm not surprised. Enjoying doing these workouts, thank you.
