The Stour through Canterbury holds some nice fish but I think the big roach have long gone, still some good chub to 5lb in there, and it’s free!

Funnily enough I had a silly impulsive urge to fish that a few weeks ago, but only had small chub and Dace. Definitely felt like the fishing had gone backwards from a few years ago.
      Tight lines

Have you gone as far as the footbridge ? The river goes right and left . Cottage on the island hates people fishing it's the deepest part of the river! Never been river might try next month.

Thanks for watching, no I've not fished that bit, looked private so left alone. I'm finding it hard to get to all the best bits of the chalk stream.
      Tight lines.
