My dad was a die hard Elvis fan. He would walk around the house or sing in the shower all the songs. This and Love me tender were my favorite ones he'd sing. Other then Elvis and my dad I never liked any cover. This brought me to absolute tears. I had chills everywhere. Honestly I don't think I've commented on anything in months, but I had to leave this here for you. This song was one of my mother's favorite songs she used to sit and play on her electric organ as I was a child, she was the reason that I got in to playing for that matter. This played at mine and my boyfriend's first dance. We held eachother for the first time and slow danced through it. We had been having rough lives individually, but were tryna help the other to the best of our ability. In that moment, it felt like the storms had calmed and all was at peace again. It was just us and the song that played. In eachother arms and fbe music to guide us through slow steps. Hearing this song brings me back to that moment. Brings us both back, I am never one for romantic songs, but this one holds a special place in my heart.
