Way too stressful to take the girls on such a long journey at this age, I’m with you, take them when they’re bigger. 😊❤
Yes! Thank you!
Life with the twins will get so much easier when they're that bit older and talking and able to tell you what is wrong when they're upset ie hungry, or sad, or just need a cuddle
@@diannelee1267 🌸💕
Ricky's parents appear relatively young and would still be working. Retirement age is 67yrs in Australia, with plans for it to be raised to 70 years in future. Australia is so expensive that many people can't afford to retire. He has much more family help available for the twins in Thailand and even if he needs to pay for additional help that is very affordable in Thailand

You made the right decision not to take the twins with you. Remember, you are a great dad. Have a great trip, Ricky!
คุณเก่งมาก ทำหน้าที่พ่อได้ดีมากค่ะ ชื่นชมค่ะ❤❤
Have a wonderful trip, you deserve a break and your family will love seeing you. I agree, it would be a nightmare with the girls at this age on the plane.
Your choice to leave them. But don't be surprised if ill when you return
I flew both my kids when they were one and two years old from USA back to Singapore with my hubby. My kids were very good kids n didn’t give us problems. They hardly cries cos we were always with them at all times. Always picked them up when they were up and stayed with them.
ส่งกำลังใจให้คุณริกกี้ค่ะ คุณทำดีแล้วค่ะ คุณเป็นคุณพ่อที่ดีค่ะ
Mate, as an expat just like you here in Thailand and concidering the age of your children, it just makes sense to have them stay with your extended Thai family. Why do people have a problem with this is beyond me! Enjoy your time in Australia, Melbourne and enjoy the game at the G and hopefully the doggies get up as they have hit some real form. Collingwood next year! Forget the trolls, most of these people have never left Australia or haven't endured a tragedy in their immediate family and your staying brave and supporting your children the best way you can. Chin up buddy and have fun in OZ.
Are you a mother? If not then it would be very hard for you to understand..
@@Mydogpenny1970 I'm a Mother . . & you're clearly just not willing to help him so butt out

A good trick with the twins toys is to rotate them so that they don’t get bored with them.
We will miss them too Ricky , Enjoy your trip and stay safe , 😊
I think you are doing the right thing not taking the girls with you on your trip for all the reasons you mentioned. Lots of people go on vacation and leave their kids with family. I hope you and your girlfriend have an amazing time on your trip. Safe travels❤
Hi. Ricky, you not selfish, I think you're a very reasonable person, please don't take all the negative comments to head. Continue doing what you are doing and you are doing a great job and you're a great dad. You will never manage to travel with the two babies, they not always the same, because there behaviors are sometimes very unpredictable. Please have a save trip and makes the best of your visit with your family. Take care and lots of blessings. 🙏😘❤️
Well said
@@rickyisaan I flew from Australia to NZ with an 8 month old and one a couple of months older than 2 and trust me, it was hard work as a sole adult. One big problem was having to breastfeed the baby the whole trip to curtail any crying.
Wishing the twins stay safe and healthy while you’re on your vacation. I can’t go anywhere without my kids even if it’s to the groceries let alone a whole different country. I would be worried the whole time and not even be able to enjoy it. Stay safe and enjoy.
This situation is different. He is a widow Right. Then grandparents would be happy having them..please the journey alone tiresome..just do right for your in-law.. Blessings
People need to chill out. They have a wonderful, loving Thai family and each other, you’re not abandoning the by any stretch of the imagination. My parents have always said kids under 2 years old they are very susceptible to all kinds of things, better to leave them here than drag them over there. Mpox is flying around right now and it is very dangerous for young kids. Some of my friends learnt that the hard way when their tots (6 months, 11 months, 8 months, 1.5 years, 7 months) had to be hospitalized due to influenza!
Awww - I got teary eyed at the goodbyes ❤, not easy.
😢
Daisy has the most adorable crying face made my morning 😊 they are absolutely gorgeous and I love seeing how far you have come with your beautiful girls.
Safe travels back to Australia for your short trip to see family
Lol😂 right when you said she was being a menace she is on the way up the stairs 😂
your absolutely right in not taking them they too young they have loving grandparents in Thailand family
Good day Ricky and adorable Daisy &Lily !
You did an amazing job as a good father, I understand that it can be hectic and tiring, but believe me, it's happiness that you can't find anywhere else, Beside your miracle twin daughters, Daisy & Lily !
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm sure everyone on the plane is happy that you're not taking them 😅. Better for them to stay in Thailand 100%. Maybe when they are older it would be ok. People who think it's a good idea to take them obviously never had kids themselves 😉 Have a safe and enjoyable trip back home mate.
That's a big part too mate. 2 screaming kids on the plane 🤣
Ricky, on your return from
Melbourne, first thing go make the passports for the twins both Aussie n Thai. U won’t know when u will need it in an instant. Is good to get it ready.
Good idea Jessie
Can they be a Dual-Citizen?
@@take.action2023 Yes, Thailand recognizes dual citizenship.
I agree with you that the twins should stay in Thailand. In time it'll be lovely for you all to go together. You know that they'll be well looked after and you can enjoy your time away. You'll be back with your twins in no time ❤
you made right decision not taking your twins to aussie, years ago i took my 13month daughter to fiji from nz and it was a pain her milk was going off quickly due to heat we were in rental car travelling to see wifes family and she got the flu in nz, my daughter was a nightmare on the plane going.
🎉🎉Hi Ricky, I hope all is well. Thanks for the update. Yes, the babies will always be grumps like that if they come back from a visit. It is what it is, and later on, you all will get used to that.
No, there is nothing wrong with going to visit your family alone. The twins will be fine with their Thai family. Live your life and do what you feel is the best. Don't let people tell you what to do. Ricky, you have been through a hell of things that happened to you. So stop explaining and stop dealing with this crab. Don't listen to all the negative people. Just be yourself and do what YOU want. You are not making a mistake or being selfish. Go and visit and enjoy your visit. You need this time. The twins is going to be okay. And yes babies screaming a lot. You people stop your nonsens and let Ricky be!!🙄😡🥱. Enjoy your time! Before you know you're back. 🎉🎉❤
I been watching the twins over 5 months now I can’t tell which is daisy and which is Lily both are so adorable ❤❤❤❤
สวัสดีค่ะคุณริกกี้ เดซี่ ลิลลี่น่ารักจังเลยค่ะ
You made the right choice Ricky. Don't explain yourself. You have to be a parent to understand. I've travelled alone with my kids and taking care of my almost 2 year old is a struggle. I can atleast distract my 5 year with cartoon but the 2 year old watches cartoon for only a bit and then starts acting up on the plane. That's what young kids do. It's normal and it's exhausting 😅. I can't imagine trying to look after twin babies. That's double the trouble 😂. You made the right choice leaving them in the care of the thai in laws.
Daisy and Lily both Sweetheart’s Beautiful Girls !!!
Have a wonderful time in Melbourne Ricky visiting Family. 🌼🌸
We took a 10 month old, 4 yr old, 14 yr old and 16 yr old to canada for 8 weeks...it was a monumental 24 hours plus flights through US to Canada....and back. But we were a family and managed....its individual to each family and its own situation. A single parent, not ideal!❤
Thank you Margy
I took over 200 flights on my own within my kids' 1st year of life. Like everything, kids adapt and adjust. Ricky needs one on one time with his partner to grow his relationship with her, and what a perfect way to do so than a trip without the girls.
Well with no passports it’s not even debatable whether you take them or not..enjoy the break ,,
Ricky you are a great father❤️
You are correct Ricky
Leave them back
Small children don’t need to go
They need to be home either with you or the Thai family
Super Dad Ricky !
When you take Daisy&Lily outside, in addition to milk, drinking water, a small towel soaked in water to wipe their faces, you should also have snacks for Daisy&Lily to eat for enjoyment !
😊
Love it
Absolutely correct Ricky, it’s the right decision 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
In Aussie, you can video call your twins and doggie. Only 10 days even 2-3 times per day, you are not leaving for 10 months.
Absolutely right. The twins definitely have some sort of understanding of video calls, the dog, not so much lol
@@rickyisaan lol
I totally agree not to take the kids that young on the plane if you have a choice not to take. In term of having the twins full time, you would know when the time comes so don’t worry about it too much Ricky! Best wishes from England 🏴
You are right Ricky not to take these precious little daughters on such a long trip , enjoy your trip , your daughters will be fine😊
Wanderfull dad you are very considerate to do wright thing son love from london uk
If it's not the best for them to go then it's probably not the best time for you to leave them. That's just me. They are developing their little brains and it's confusing for people to come and go constantly. No need for you to go right now. Just wait until they get a little older.
They will be with their Thai family who raised them for most of their first year so it's not like they are being left with strangers.
When my daughter was one, we took her from Arizona to Colorado on a plane. It was an ordeal with the airlines and the car seat and them dumping her clothes all over the tarmac to search the case, leaving them dirty and oily, they even cut the straps on the case, so when it was coming down the shoot in luggage pick up in Colorado, her baby things were everywhere. The baby was great, it was the airlines. Better safe than sorry. Enjoy your trip and vacation, you deserve it.
I agree with you Rick they are to young , you can have better opportunities when they are older and the girls can fully appreciate a travel to a different country keep up the great job you do as a dad xxx
Have a fantastic trip and create all the memories 😊
Stay Safe Relax Enjoy 🥰🇦🇺
Rick, you don't have to justify your reasoning, nobodies business but yours. I'm sure you'll miss them & they will miss you. Imagine an awesome welcome home with their big smiles greeting you. Enjoy your time in Melbourne, the footie, a tinny & a meat pie 😊
OMG I had to laugh when my twin boys were that age exact same thing one was always crying an the other one was chill an that changes as they get older too 😀
keep those routines going mate your doing well
Safe travels Ricky ..
I once worked/ lived in the MIddle East. Eash time we took our daughter on a trip back to the USA, it was an emotional strain on us taking our baby later infant) on such a long flight. And there is nothing she would remember anyway . So, yes-don't feel guilty leaving your daughters behind. You will not be gone that long.
You are doing the best and right thing….they are still so young. Enjoy your trip.
Thank you, I will
Beautiful Twins ❤️
Just an idea next time you go get a krakow maybe watch how they make it or ask girlfriend or her parents if they can teach you some cooking when you come back from Australia. I can see you cooking more as the girls grow, you’re doing a wonderful job. Enjoy Melbourne
Plenty time when they are older Ricky. Enjoy your time away, I’m sure there Grandparents will enjoy having them.❤️
Go to Australia and have a great time. It would have been nice for you to take the girls so the great-grandparents could see them, but it’s OK. Don’t feel guilty when you come back. Make sure you get the girls' Australian passports, so in case of an emergency, you can always take them with you. Never feel guilty about leaving them with their your mom’s family; they are the only connection left to their mom, and the girls are the only thing left of their daughter. Always make them a big part of your life, and hopefully, your new family embraces and honors your deceased wife's legacy. She has left you with the most beautiful gift-those two girls-and you are so lucky to have them in your life. Have a safe flight, ❤❤
Try playing some calming music or a musical mobile when they are going for naps.
You don't need to justify this decision. Would be hell taking them on a long flight. I spent tons of cash taking my youngest daughter on holiday when she was 1 and 2 years old. She doesn't remember any of it and it was uncomfortable travelling for everyone involved.
Have a nice trip and safe travels and I remember when me and my daughter took the airplane ✈️ trip from Minneapolis,Minnesota to Tucson,Arizona and my daughter's twins and they were teething during the trip but oh my goodness was there ever the kindest people there at the airport and on the airplane thank goodness. But I think it's wise to wait until they're older and walking before taking them on a trip right now like that. But I bet yous will surely be missing each other's. Blessings to you and your little family there.
Enjoy your trip Ricky it's well deserved ❤
Thank you Belinda
Yeh don’t take them we didn’t take out kids on holidays until they were old enough to remember it . What a stressful time that would be ! Have fun Ricky .
I went back to Vietnam when my son a bit older than the girls. I got told off, then got told off when my husband went overseas cos I didnt pack for him, then even when my kid was older I was told I was a bad parent for leaving him behind. Then recently went to Bali, my son is 19 and I was asked who would look after him!! You will never win.. ignore the idiotic comments.
You're right, never win lol 😆
Ricky just do you 👉🏽 it's nobody's business to criticise or tell you what you should do with your girls. There's a difference between giving tips and critising. Everyone has an opinion so just keep it to yourself and enjoy the video 🙄 You're absolutely right the girls are spending time with their Thai family ♥️ I wouldn't even explain yourself. I come on your channel just to see your updates🙌🏽. Be kind people 🫶🏽 God bless you and your girls 🙏🏽
Pls brother pls pls!
Opinions are like assholes everyone has them. I have been following your channel for the longest time and I know your story. You are doing an amazing job with what you have in front of you. I understand you have to be nice with everybody, but F THAT. Let’s see what Everyone that talks trash. What if they were put in your situation. Please I love your channel. I love following you, seeing the girls grow up. Stay strong please brother you are doing the best you can with what you have. It’s amazing. You’re going back home. Hopefully, you post some stories of where you’re from. The girls will be fine with the Thai family and hopefully everyone else will just deal with it. Love to see where you’re from. Love your mom amazing woman. Safe travels pls post something from where you grow up 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻
I remember in the 80s an article about a single Mom in court in Australia. Everyone attacked her but an old Lady in her 90 yrs. She wrote 'when you all saw how hard it was for her, why did no one offer help instead of criticising now?' 40 years later I till remember that Wisdom.
Hey Ricky
Enjoy your trip back to Oz mate. Yeah just not practical or fair on the twins to travel all that way for a 10day stay. Safe travels 👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺
Take care Jamie 🙂
I traveled with my daughter at that age and it was VERY difficult when it was just me. Two with two people is difficult too. I agree with not taking them especially when they have Thai family who loves them. Yes, at this age that kind of travel is hugely challenging. When they are walking and old enough to enjoy the travel, it's so much better. Oh Luga, you gotta listen to dad and set a great example for your little sisters! Wooof little guy! Be good! Ricky, you need to ignore the trolls giving you crap. You're sharing your life and a little bit of the girl's life too but you don't owe any explanations to anyone about how you are doing things. Yes, you need to make sure you have quick grab type items like protein bars, protein shakes, freezer foods, fruit etc. I know many parents that were challenged with self care as well. You'll get there through trial and error.
Your right do what you want. They’re too small.
You don’t have to justify the trip mate, whatever is practical - though I would say it is not selfish either way. More difficult for you 100%. We took our daughter to Thailand (from UK) when she was 9months old as we wanted family there to see her as a baby, given most couldn’t get over to the uk, but there was 2 of us with 1 baby so a 12-13hr flight was manageable between us. Having her with us when there was no issue though, she (like us) had jet lag but you do the usual things like back at home - take milk & food out with you and let them sleep in the pushchair or whatever.
Take care, enjoy the trip 😎
You're lucky getting finals tickets. I'm a doggies member and couldn't get through. Oh and you're doing the right thing leaving the twins. They're so little, it wouldn't be fair for them.
Sounds like lots of issues for people on the site. I'm a member too, 11 years now
Enjoy your vacation! The twins will be well taken care of. 👶👶❤ Take care and have fun! ☺️
Thank you! 🤗
Once they start walking, they can be a handful. Have to watch them. Playpen is a good thing, when you need do something.
It’s nearly time 🤩 - No need to explain mate - it’s not the right time to take them on such a visit - enjoyed the video - I’m back on the 5th - take care
u must listen hers say & walk her want smile give u papa al that💕👸👸😀👊👏🧡🤴
GO TO MELBOURNE AND ENJOY YOURSELF❤YOU WILL BE A BETTER FATHER FOR IT👍
But why are you even going if they can’t? Wait until they can go with you. That’s what we as parents do even single ones.
Might be too late to see my grandparents if I don't go now...
No, that's not correct. As a single Parent it's healthy to have respite time. Not a lot of guys even live up to the responsibility & yet you attack him having a bit of R'nR ???? If your comment is really about the welfare of the girls then offer to help out instead of attacking his judgement

I don’t see anything wrong with not taking the ladies with you Ricky! You’re totally right….They’re only so young and it’s not going to be easy since there’s only you on the plane with them… It’s so easy for people to make comments but they don’t realize how hard it is to have 2 babies on the plane especially when there’s only you to take them! Hi Risky, yeah don't mind what people said in the comments, As first you better ot go alone, Because twin's Stil too small discomforts for them , And you cannot handle it alone , let them bit grow up than make a plan later on that's not to late, you did thw right things for sure because you're they farther , And Farther of course his know which is. 🙌🏽agree with you 100 percent about taking the babies out of country and especially in the airports and on the planes they have so much viruses in the air and germs everywhere. How you have a wonderful time with your trip and forth and back to Australia.
I think it's fine you going without the twins, the girls can go with you when they are a bit older and don't worry about your fur baby he will be fine, when your in Melbourne, try and go to a couple of op shops, great place for toys and books for the girls, get little books with things you can point out, like dog cat bird duck car all that and more, you can put them in your carry on, toys and books are so cheap in op shops, I hope you and your girlfriend have a lovely time, enjoy have fun.🙏❤️
You don't need to explain why to anyone, go on your home holiday and enjoy every minute of your break .

Don’t even listen to grumpy people. Travel with small children is a challenge . You have a right to enjoy yourself.
Fvck those guys saying that, A man needs to take care of his family and sometimes that involves travel. Don't listen to them. You wouldn't be doing be going if it wasn't beneficial for the family so there is that.
Yes u can visit your family and of course u need to go back to your country maybe your visa or what ever the twins are okay I know they love your twins they’re trusted persons ..don’t focus on negative comments ❤❤❤
Will you be filming while in Melbourne? We want to see Australia!!

Ricky, you do what you think best. I agree with your comments in this video. There will be other opportunities. You have been through a lot and deserve to go and centre yourself. Enjoy your holiday, and ignore the naysayers. You will find that there are people in this world who thrive on being negative! You are doing a good enough job. Have fun.
You’d have a problem getting your kids out of Thailand. When we adopted our boys we had hassles at the airport very scary virtually held at gunpoint and this was all organised by the Thai government! Best left with the Thai family for sure
Yeah on paper they're under the control of me only, but I'd imagine there'd be issues
You did good don’t worry for the bad comments.
