I've been following Knox Hill for 2 years (since NF Clouds dropped) and he delivers the best bars breakdown on youtube. I tried listening to Knox's songs in the past but wasn't feeling it. However, I have listened to these disses from start to finish, not just once, but multiple times! So, answering Michelle: yes the quality changed, gets me excited about what Knox might produce next, but doesn't get me excited to go check his previous work.

As an impartial white dude who thought Knox Hills raps were garbage, but still watched his reactions, I'll admit his diss songs were leagues above those raps on his singles and albums. One was actual lyricism, the other was a beginners guide to safe backpack rap.

Diss tracks always seem to bring out a different side of any rapper. I am actually not a fan of Knox's rapping.... but a fan of his pen, if that makes sense. I can recognize, on a lyrical level, he is incredible... I just don't like his delivery.

I firmly stand by my original statement, Knox is the nerdy kid who started rapping to keep from being beat up, imitating whomever was hot at the moment. He lacks authenticity. Period. Flip flopper to me isn’t the same as calling you fake. In my opinion it's just saying you constantly change your mind when it comes to music. For instance a politician can constantly be called a flip flopper on their politics. I think that's what Knox was speaking about.

@@MichelleShow if the songs you don't like are similar in style to the ones you do like. It definitely can be viewed as a flip flopper it's like what is so different about these songs that create 2 different opinions.
I also don't think it's just Knox talking about his songs but songs Michelle reacts to. I look at Stevie Knight for instance he will tell you he doesn't like the song, but it's not done from a place of hating just to hate. With Michelle it comes across as entertainment like he's going to bash songs just for views. Some people come here just for that reason. It's similar to an actor constantly getting 1 character and never expanding their reach as an actor. That isn't a negative or positive thing because you will always have work and just won't get the accolades that come with that work.

The diss track on Dotta had meaning, it was structured and served a purpose, held a point, it told a story. Music isn't just about sounding good and making references. Meaningless is an insult because meaning is so important, and art without meaning is garbage. Maybe if you spent less time watching fake reacters you'd know something about that.

I won’t lie, when I first found this channel I thought it was fake - just hate for the sake of hating. I also thought if you hated on a song that you were hating on the artist. I think that’s what’s going on here - misunderstanding what you are doing. Thankfully I see what you are doing now and respect you for it. But not everyone will get it.

The first video I saw from you was a Knox Hill video, and the only advice you could give was "get better at everything, everything is trash" and "just stop rapping, you have no potential."
There was no nuance to the criticism or genuine advice. That's where I gained the opinion that you were just hating to hate. I don't care if our opinions differ. That's life. I did have a problem when three videos I saw from you in a row was you giving the "advice" of just "do better" without any specifics on how to improve.
While I still don't agree with the above, I don't judge people on a single thing, and therefore my opinion has changed since I've seen a different side of you. So, I can see where he would get that opinion initially. It's definitely just from a place of misunderstanding.
There are other channels (I will not name but he's beefed with them on here too) who try to copy what MichelleShow does but they don't understand the nuance and the whole point of the MichelleShow is realness. The copycats are fake haters who hate on anything just for clicks but MichelleShow keeps it real and half his channels is reacting to stuff he actually likes so he's really only a hater when he needs to be.

I think people who take the internet too seriously don’t understand that it’s not that serious - we’re not in tribal days where “rejection” meant leaving you to starve in the cold. I’ve really enjoyed the battles with Knox / Dotta / Ren but people have gotten weirdly tribalistic over it, and I think Knox is making that mistake here. I have to say MichelleShow has been balanced in his praise and his criticism of all the songs, and as a long-time Knox follower, his disses were leagues above some of his other music. I think he’s really good at rising to a challenge, and dissing is a good outlet for his competitive energy - he’s also learned a lot from the music he reacts to, you can clearly see the influence Ren had on Killshot. It’s all part of growing 🤷🏻♀️

Never been into rap - though there have been some songs where I've been able to appreciate the writing/music. With this whole Dotta/Ren/Knox/(& yourself) 'thing', I've learnt a bit more about the genre - especially rap battles, and have a better appreciation of what rap is. I'm still not a rap fan but I do now understand it a bit more than previously. I don't think I'm alone with that. That's a plus for me.
With regards your channel, I had watched your original reaction to 'Hi Ren' - (because I've watched most reactions to 'Hi Ren') and didn't 'get' you (and again, I suspect I'm not the only one). However, watching your videos on this whole scenario, I now feel like I 'get' your channel and what it is that you do, and I found your Ren & Knox diss reactions to be pretty funny. I'm not gonna be subscribing but it was good to see that you can take it, as well as give it out. Not everyone can - even when things are obviously said in jest. Kudos to you for that.
I don't think anyone involved has lost out with this whole thing - everyone has picked up views, new fans/subscribers and/or, at least, some respect from new directions. Can't be too many times where everybody involved wins to at least some degree. I hope it all eventually comes to something like an amicable conclusion....(somehow!).

@MichelleShow well what I mean is it's very easy to misunderstand a reactors intention or realism when all they ever encounter is fake ass reactors and they don't spend the time to do their research when speaking on a reactor who happens to be real. I mean you can't front though knox was right, you hype sht up.... BUT your a reactor who loves battle rap - your supposed to hype up the battles!! But hyping something does not equal faking when it comes to the actual reaction. In fact you went easy af on knox if we want to be real! He did use a few corny bars in his second diss which you normally would have sht on, but because he was giving the smoke we wanted we let a few slide by. He should be happy we passed over those.

The insitgating isn't the issue though. At all. He is purposely fanning the flames and owns it. That is the point of his channel. Michelleshow was simply saying that hyping up the diss and liking it doesn't mean the times in the past where he critisized Knox Hill were fake. They both can be true. You can think his songs he creates are whack af, but also think the diss was the best out of all the disses. It's not mutually exclusive.
So to say MichelleShow is flip flopping is actually exposing Knox, not MichelleShow. Because to them you either like everything an artist puts out and hype it up, or you don't like any of it. And that simply isn't reality. It's only reality to the reactors who blindly pander to certain fanbases. It's no different than Eminem stans thinking he has never put out a bad or lack luster song. Same concept. So its weird af to call someone fake, or flip flopping because someone likes some of your stuff and dislikes other things you've done. @@MichelleShowso this is the 1 area I'll come down on UR side. While I think UR "reactions" to and "criticism" of REN are garbage (sorry, you lasted a TOTAL of abt 2 minutes of song time and maybe 5% of the actual lyrics...can't judge a WHOLE SONG from a few seconds worth of listening...
That said, Knox seems to conflate liking or not liking his raps with liking or not liking HIM. I NEVER like EVERY song by ANY artist (yes, even Ren...but my ratio of likes to dislikes is 2nd only to my favorite band of all time...). I like some artists based only on a COUPLE of songs I like rather than on the MOST of their songs that i don't like.
Out of everybody involved Knox could of handled it a little better and this is coming from someone who is a Knox fan and new to Michelleshow. A little disappointed in Knox last video.

I had only listened to 2 KH songs before his Dotta disses. His tone (if that is the right word) wasn't for me; I couldn't understand what he was saying. And I need reactors to explain his bars to me. But I agree that his two KD disses were really good -- and I could actually make out what he was saying in those songs.

I'm a big fan of Knox's reactions, But i don't really fuck with his tracks. He puts them at the start & end of some of his videos, and i've just never thought they were that good. But he did always say he came up as a battle rapper and i've been waiting to hear him come out with a Diss track. and when he finaly did, it was straight fire... I feel like maybe he just can't admit to himself that his song writing is not as good as he thinks it is, and he's way better at battle raps

That's true E. A sign of true mental health is the ability to discern even among a general favored class. I.E. I like rap but not ALL rap. Even more emotional maturity and intelligence is to admit you're wrong or that given evidence to the contrary you can have your mind changed. Eugene I've always just preferred your channel, cuz you're not fake, or projecting onto others from completely misunderstanding your own psychology.
btw you should go full time on yt, youre already having some nice growth recently and you can accelerate it.
