You know michelleshow is tellin the truth about liking Knox, because when it comes to hating on youtubers…he deff went the criticism lane and went easy on him 😂. I don’t think Knox is a good rapper by any stretch. He deff understands the musicality when he breaks down music, but you don’t have to be good at rap to understand music.
Except it’s bad criticism and shows Michelle doesn’t even know the slang. Makes me wonder if he really listens to hip hop like that. Ask any old head what flattening the cabbage means when you roll up. Ain’t hard to connect with the grass and cabbage scheme

Knox is the epitome of "athlete who isn't good enough to play but coaches because he still has knowledge of the game" imo he was that one kid in school who listened to rap all of the time, studied cadence and flow, could tell you all about your favorite rappers, but when he actually spit it just didn't sound good. He lacks the cleverness and the talent needed to actually write good bars. He could probably give great advice to any up and coming rapper who actually has those qualities but just can't do it himself. There is a reason he is stuck where he is. This was a 🔥 reaction btw. No. He panders, pretends to like or overhypes most lyrics, and just points out obvious shit so that no matter what fanbase is watching, they’re satisfied. Then he uses that clout to promote his shit music. Most “rappers reacts” channels are just that.

@@frankes028 but he is sort of pandering in a way but to a specific audience who may be new to rap. i think he's trying to appeal to that demographic of rap newbies by breaking down everything even the simplest of bars. so it is pandering in a sense but in a constructive way if that's his goal. i doubt half the music he reacts to he even listens to outside of doing reactions.

These things aren’t “obvious” at all. This new thing of always trying new pockets of rhyming does not always come out right. There’s a reason why most legends and GOATS of this shit come from the 90s, it’s because it wasn’t just about writing and rhyming but also how they delivered those lyrics and their voices and how they had the believeability factor. There’s only a few exceptions of those who didn’t have the voice but managed to make it work
