"Ray of Light" and Michael jackson´s "Off The wall" are probably the Bibles of POP!
Thriller is the winner at selling and that´s for sure...it´s the most sold album in history! But i think "Off the Wall" was Michael Jackson´s most influential album of all times...it defned the pop and disco music and changed forever...even more than Thriller..but that is just my humnble opinion anyway! regards my friend!

I was on the first concert of this tour! The opening day that took place in Barcelona, SPAIN!!! It was my first concert of Madonna. It was mind blowing...the manga section with Madonna flying was beyond epic and never seen before!!! She has always been so ahead of her time!!!
I still get goosebumps all over at 5:46 when “Substitute for Love” starts playing. This was my first time seeing Madonna in concert! The ICON!! 👑

Wow what a great performance of Ray Of Light. Usually they suck compared to the record but Madonna took it to another level and that Punk Rocker Kilt outfit was about the hottest thing Madonna ever wore man.

My mom and I often bicker with my mom about Madonna's choice of songs for her tours. Mom thinks M's setlist choices rely too heavily on her most current songs and neglecting some of her earlier classics and I know many others who feel the same, but to me it's just a testament of how truly innovative and relative she is even after 30 years -- and let's be honest, there's no such thing as a bad Madonna song =]
The tour after this one (for Music) was the last one where she used such a high percentage of new songs. When she released the absolutely brilliant but dark and challenging album American Life in 2003, it was considered a commercial failure.
For this reason the tour that followed that album was not called the American Life tour. She made a business decision to not associate the tour with that album, basically sweeping American Life under the rug (which is a damn shame).
The tour she did in 2004 in place of an American Life tour was called the Reinvention tour and focused much more on her classic hits, more of what the industry calls a legacy act (an artist whose show is more of a greatest hits set vs promoting new material). She brought out songs she hadn't played in over a decade at that time, like Material Girl, and that was the big attraction to sell tickets, since the album hadn't sold well (by Madonna's standards).
Anyway, since then she's never really gone back from Legacy Act land. She never has more than one or two new songs in her set.

I don't know why Madonna sometimes has such disdain for some of her biggest hits in the 80's and 90's.
@@JC-yy8iv About half of her 2006 Confessions Tour's setlist was made up of then-current songs and that album and its lead-off single both set the record for number one in most countries ever. Plus, she was so non non-plussed about nostalgia on that tour that among the old songs she performed she included such obscure fans-only tracks as Paradise (Not For Me) and the You Thrill Me version of Erotica.
After that, her Sticky and Sweet Tour and MDNA Tour also had half of their setlists consist of then-current material and the classics she cared to include were either so remixed and rearranged they were near irrecogniseable or were made into mashups with other songs.
Madonna's never even come close to becoming a legacy artist... She is just that big and creative and interesting and relevant that even when promoting flop albums, such as MDNA and Rebel Heart, she just has a huge core fan basis and commands enough respect and attention from the general public that she's basically never had to rely on nostalgia.
Well, not until now anyway...
Top of her career, I totally miss this Madonna. These days she is totally lost :(
