A Master Piece..Written by young 20 something kids from Florida. Amazing!
Aint that the truth
I REALLY LOVE this song. 24hrs prior to hearing this song for the first time I had received a letter from my boyfriend(now husband of43yrs) who was in Germany in the air force saying how much he miss me and what we were going to do when he came home and so on. It became our anthem and it still bring fuzzy feelings when I hear it. Comin Home has morphed into so much over the years for us beyond the initial puppy love--I was 17, green and sexy..He was handsome. After ALL these years he still confuse our anniversary and my birthday, but it's OK because I STILL HATE football Sundays or any playoffs. We had the wedding of MY DREAMS on our 40yr renewal. Comin home is so delightful and joyous with my Jerry terry. I am the MOST blessed woman on planet Earth to love and be loved by the greatest man in this galaxy. Thank you Ronnie VanZant & Allen Collins for giving the world this and many other great songs. Rest in peace.
They touch us all,
In familiar ways...
Glad things are going well,
Skynyrd went to the "Heart"...
That's why they are,
"The Best!!!". ...
🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Dammm! Scott Raines Keeps it Real! This music takes me back to younger and wilder days. Going off to the motocross races with songs like this in the cassette deck. Going out partying . . . chasing girls I always thought this was a haunting song. Scott brings a truckload of talent and expertise showing how the band pulled this off 50 years ago and touched so many of us. Scott keeps them alive. Long Live Skynrd!
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼
Allen was known for his over bends. I think this is one of the more underrated Skynyrd songs.
The reformed Skynyrd does a sweet version of this tune with Ed King doing some amazing slide
I just want to thank you so much for keeping Skynyrd music alive!!! I love the way you show the song , Thank You
Thank you! 🙏🏼
I haven't heard this song for 43 years. I believe I was 13.. what an awesome song!!!!! Thank you
I cant wait to see to APB!
Once again Scott shows us how it's actually done (as opposed to a dozen "close enoughs". You are hands down my favorite resource for LS songs. And refreshingly humble to boot!
You make it look so easy... I played years ago but just cords lol
Keep playing!
Thank you the GREAT Lesson
BEYOND! Excellent lesson thank you so much!👍🏾
Thank you Scott for all these videos. I’m the biggest real Lynyrd Skynyrd fan on this planet. I’m 51 and loved them all my life. Yes have the movie and watched it 8 times all ready in the past month. Another great DVD to watch is I Never Forget you the last 72 hours of Lynyrd Skynyrd based on the book by Gene Odom.
I am a long time Skynyrd fan and long time guitar player and I swear for years when I heard this song for some reason I thought it was the Allman Brothers. I guess if you listen to the lead it sounds like Skynyrd before the Steve Gaines mini- era. But the lyrics to me don't sound anything like Ronnie Van Zant in later years. Then when I found out it was Skynyrd it was never put on an album until they came out with Skynyrd's Innyrds (a compilation album). I guess that's probably what confused me most of all because I have all of their studio albums. Definitely one of their most underrated songs. A great tune.
I love the Solo's can't wait to learn them so fun 🎸👀
As always,
You Rock!!!
This is,
One of the many songs that carry the "Soul of Man!" In Skynyrd's being...
Being Honest and Real,
And trying to make a living...
Thank God for,
These songs!
😇🙏😇
I must be a true Skynyrd fan, because this is one of my favorites. Oh, one more thing, and I'm sure I've said this before, but your tone is remarkable, as always. Dialed in perfect with the recording.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
you did it well - many thanks
Man, another of my absolute favorite Skynyrd tunes. Loved this one since I first heard it when I was in 8th grade, back in 79-80. Billy's piano part brings so much life to this already great song. Ronnie's lyrics are some of his best, and some of the themes resonate through much of his work, such as concrete jungles, hard times, longing for the simpler life. The arrangement, too, shows the sophistication that set them apart from many other of their contemporaries, like that long, "Staaaa-a-aaay" back into the second verse, and then used differently into the bridge. Is that Ed doing the plucky slide fills? I know he did some work on the tracks from this album before his exit, and that it was intended to be released even before the crash. That long feedback note into the second solo gives me goosebumps every time. Thanks so much for this- I learned it all 35 or so years ago, but watching you go through it so methodically is just inspiring. Can't tell you how much I am enjoying seeing this band finally get their due in terms of their compositions, parts, and playing. Like I say every time, you're killin' it, Scott! Can't wait until all this is over and I can get to an APB gig to shake your hand.
These vids are awesome Scott!!! They really help us ol dudes pull out the notes weve been missing.
a very good song that i forgot about and now i love playing and singing it thanks again great job
Wow, spot on. But given you play with Artimus not surprising! A lesson on One More Time with Ed's overdubbed parts would be good or Woman of Mine.
Scott thank you, One more time... You play like a real Skynyrd band member. I cant wait to finish my summer holliday, get back home to my guitar and try this one. Man you re so inspiry. Im 48 and Im starting all over again thanks to you. I was playing something like skynyrd. Now i understand ever single note and bending. Keep it up!!!
I love this song!
What a great way to start my day!!! Coming home with a cup of coffee while picking a Skynyard tune on my guitar. Thanks!!! :-)
Nice! 👍🏼
Outstanding! Just about my favorite Skynyrd song. I'm not a guitarist but I enjoy watching someone playing great music up close. You are very gifted. Thank you!
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼
Thanks again Scott one of my favorites ☮️🎶🎸
Thank you for your videos, not enough GOOD skynyrd tutorials out there. Rock on sir
Thanks for doing this request Scott. Awesome Job!👍🏻🇬🇧
Sweet song thanks for sharing
Going to really try and play this one. New to guitar, but not new to playing instruments. Thanks for the lesson. I really appreciate all the lessons and tips. I only care to play Skynyrd and one other song, "I'd Love to Change the World".
Love all their songs especially the ones that alot of people don't really know right or wrong cry for a bad man and so many more don't think they have a song that's not great love the videos thanks for your time showing us how to play the songs we love
such a great deep cut one of my favs.. I'm really surprised never made the light of day on Pronounced.
Scott, thanks for this song, it it one of my Favorite ones, The Lead Guitar part always kicked my ass, You play the Guitar parts as well as the original Members, Rock on, Cousin Figel

👌
Love this song, thanks so much!!!
Thanks a lot! Kisses from Rio de Janeiro Brazil!
Great job Scott!
I’m planning on going to a show to see you guys this summer can’t wait. I saw Skynard in Toledo feb 23rd 1974 I was 24,I remember Ed King he was a great guitar player. Like what you guys are doing.
We are SO ready for some shows! 🤘🏼
Thanks again Scott for documenting all your knowledge of each Skynyrd song. You make it so us commoners can learn them too for years to come. You're very dedicated and your presentation makes it easier for us to learn. This song was not one of the more popular ones, but damn, it was a very good song for them as kids in their late teens early 20's to have written, and the solos are fun to learn.
Really like what you doin teaching how to play these old, but Kinda timeless gems. The street survivor movie however , I think one should be a little sceptical about. The god man Artimus memorys about that tragedy are probably not totally corresponding with reality. But what do we know, that may actually be the way he honestly remembering it.
Brilliant stuff as always Scott!
Thanks
Gonna try to pull this with vocals and guitar this weekend. Haven't thought of this song in years and came across a Zakk Wylde cover of it. Thanks man!
Nice! Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼
Scott, if you get time could you please cover the song Little Missy, thank you , Cousin Figel
If your not to busy. There is no lesson on the song Trust , of the gimme back my bullets album. Love to learn it.
"Ghost notes?" I never knew what they were called! Usually not what I intended, but at least I know what to call them when I fudge it.
Thanks for another great lesson. Another not so well known song outside of us Skynyrd fans but a great song nonetheless.
For a minute when you started in on the solo I could not figure out what that awesome sound was! At first I wondered what kind of pedal you were using and then it dawned on me. You playing lead right along with the track created a double tracking of the leads and it sounds killer! Better than the original recording I must say. I had to listen to the original to be sure that's what it was. Great playing sir.
I would be interested in knowing what gear you are playing that SG thru. Thanks again, Brian
Kemper Profiler. It's a Michael Britt Jim Kelley profile I dialed in to match the tone. Kemper is amazing for live and studio!
@@seraines Thank you sir it sounds great!
If you like that sound I would suggest chorus with a touch of overdrive. its a sweet sound.
Would love to learn the Quinvy version of Michellle
Hi Scott. is there any way you can show us how Ed played "Whisky rock a roller".thanks.
Let me know if this covers what you need. ruclips.net/video/2TVwjLpfxpE/видео.html
Can you plz do that smell. Lead parts
It’s in the pipeline 🤘🏼
great! is that an original Gibson or a reissue?? thanks
Gibson Custom shop. Maybe 6 or 7 years old.
@@seraines danke
I'm not for sure, but you probably wouldn't know. The solo sounds as if Gary originally done it?
I believe Allen did the 1st one and Gary the one at the end
