Kiyomasa (11 years old) is Shabani's son.
He is an adolescent male gorilla who sometimes looks quite older than his age and sometimes like childish.
On this day, he was messing around with his mother Nene and playing nicely with his father Shabani.

Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.

Kilo surprisingly is just a year behind Gentaro yet he’s very young an exhibits childlike behavior. It’s part of his charm an makes us love him but he’s quite immature. Amazing what a years difference makes. You can see the maturity in Gentaro but at 11 he was still afraid of his dad. No more lol
Kiyo was spoiled and got lots of love from his parents and older sister. Annie gave him a lot of attention too.
I believe that is the reason he acts immature sometimes.😊❤ Love Kiyo!😊

Hopefully, Kiyomasa will have children someday to carry on his Dad’s lineage, because it doesn’t appear likely that Shabani will have more offspring….and that is VERY unfortunate…my opinion.
