Haha, thanks man, I really do appreciate it. I think that new style of video is definitely the way to go for the future, but videos on more general Minecraft topics always tend to do poorly, which is really unfortunate since that limits me quite a bit; the only videos that do well are account history, server history, hacking history, news videos, and classic/alpha/beta videos sometimes. A lot of my favorite videos like the village history or disc 11/13 videos did poorly (though the second did better now because of the disc 5 video blowing up). It's all good though, I think I just need to focus on what works

@@mcbyt Nah, dont focus on what works, make both and gradually transition to what you like most as those videos begin to perform better. Wondering whether the new cape reward for select players may be for really old accounts. I'm not sure but it's exciting

I made the most convincing / likely theory that the cape was designed by Ekka by also realizing he suggested the Valentine's Day 2015 April Fools prank update.
Hence why the cape has the name in particular.
Although it is very uncertain, it was revealed by Richard01_CZ through some unconfirmed DMs with Foxy himself.

Mojang said that there would be a special reward for players who owned both java and bedrock before they merged together. Could this vanilla cape be it?

Probably is, the top part of the cape is a grass block and the bottom is a bedrock block so
that would be cool, hopefully it’d come with the ability to use the same capes on both editions too, since we use the same account for both versions of the game now. I’d like to use my gold creeper cape on Java.

Both capes look cool and all, but I kind of want to see a cape for getting all the achievements on Minecraft bedrock edition. Would be cool to see that and will allow people to discover that version (Although I am a Java player, Bedrock is kind of cool).
slightly off-topic, but you could get all achievements in creative mode on mc bedrock with the command /execute @s ~ ~ ~ run gamemode creative, and it would still have achievements on. dont know if this has been patched yet

The NameMC account suggests LolFoxy2 to live in Israel. And he got a Valentines cape in august?
In Israel, Valentines is celebrated in August 11th. (the holiday is called Tu B'Av).
Shows up as "(Unidentified) Minecraft Cape" in the namemc capes section, but it still shows up on LolFoxy2's profile.

if it was a full time usability cape opposed to a single day,
it would be a nice way to show appreciation to someone by buying it for them via a giftcard or something for a limited time release on valentines day.
it would also give mojang and microsoft financial incentive to do it.

I know capes are like supposed to be a rare thing but it would be pretty dang cool if there were more public capes you could choose, would bring some diversity or whatever its called. Really hope mojang adds this cape permanently cause it looks really nice.

Honestly? Really hope it’s a one-day cape. The Vanilla Cape is something I find much more interesting too, I really wonder what it’s going to be for.

I discovered this cape a few days ago when trying to make a ussr cape(but I couldn't because resolution and idk how to make pixel art) lol also was when foxy had the cape I think too
I hope Minecraft let’s you port your Minecraft dungeon capes to Minecraft bedrock and Java, that would be sick.
Also btw the ghost cloak is not actually a cape, but there are capes you can get from events and playing in the season, they are cosmetics, and are definitely way easier to get then Minecraft capes.

it seems wierd that the minecraft dungeons developer actually doesn't know anything about the value of capes in java
I would really want to have a official minecraft cape, ever since I started playing Minecraft i wanted a cape but i couldnt get on any minecon because i am from Croatia (small country in Europe) and even if I was from US my parents would probably disagree buying me a ticket.
Yeah i know, i played Minecraft for the first time on PS3, few years after i had to sell it and i havent played minecraft for like 4 years, i created my java account in the 2021 and i dont even have that stupid migrarion cape :(

@@just_timmy_yt No it’s just cached on NameMC, every time NameMC sees a cape they add it to there database. So they can’t tell if mojang removes the cape from the account after it gets added to their database.

It’s not a cape coming to the game, a mojang staff member add a cape for someone and gave it to them. The. Removed when he realized what he did. It was a one off mistake

Ive been doing research on both capes when they were barely born, I was gonna contact a member of mojang's staff for the vanilla cape, but in discord they have to be friended, the good news is that before this video i had confirmation on lolfoxy since I was making a video on it some hours when it got released and they were extremely active in a certain video

What the heck is the Vanilla cape for? If it's for players that have never played with mods, that's... really frustrating and is gonna make a lot of people upset, given how popular modded Minecraft is.
Even if many players just use Optifine or InventoryTweaks or other small client-side quality-of-life mods, that's still a mod. Many RUclipsrs, such as members of Hermitcraft, use Optifine to zoom, help the game run smoother, or for shaders, and many also use various other client-side mods to make inventory management easier.
I think it's for people that bought Bedrock and Java on the same Microsoft account before the buy one get one free deal, but that's just a theory
