Spectacular video: Follows the same vibe as "Be With Me" (Dimash's official MV), where we have secret agents, bandits, undercover agents...
This is Dimash's second work in partnership with Dmytro Gordon and lyricist Candice Kelly (the first was “When I've Got You”): It is a more pop phase with the inclusion of traditional Kazakh instruments (in this case, the “dombra ” makes arpeggios similar to a guitar). Dimash has a very progressive work, free from commercial constraints. He tests and plays with his fans!
The marketing for this song was bold and truly brilliant: Firstly, the song was released in a live performance at the Hong Kong show. Afterwards, a teaser for the official video with the song's chorus was released. From that point on, the chorus was already subliminally recorded in the spectators' minds! The complete song was released on the main platforms, making both the chorus and the operatic part sound more natural for reactors and fans. Some time later, when everyone was waiting for the official video, he released a performance video, with dances and beautiful dancers! Now the chorus is sung by reactors and fans! A month later he releases the official video with an intriguing plot and a “plot twist” worthy of cinema: Excellent work by Dimash and his team!
Really good info, thank you for filling in the details.👏👏👏😊👍
Agreed!!! Awesome info! Pinned this comment for others! Thank you so much!!!!😊
Famtastic ❤❤❤❤
Adorei o super agente secreto Dimash! Lindo, elegante, talentoso, inteligente, criativo e genial!
❤❤❤🇧🇷🇧🇷
Agreed. It’s a really fun persona… with an amazing voice to back it up!!!
"Be With Me"
Just about everything Dimash does is uniquely different.
I think that’s why I’m loving it so much!!!
💗💗💗💗🌸
💜🌷💜
Dimash can do it all ! I guess if you have a nearly 8 octave range and just about all the different vocal techniques at your disposal, you can just about sing anything in any genre. And then you can mix up a few to create a new genre ! Like Hip-opera !!
Really seems that way! The first two songs I heard were much more operatic. This just blew my mind!!! 🤩🤯
Hip-Hopera 😂
🤷♂️💜
Dimash released a video a few months ago "When I've Got You". Please give it a listen.❤
I’ll check it out! 😀
I like your name for this new genre! Move over 007, here comes Agent DQ! Locked, loaded, ready to sing! 🇨🇦
Agent DQ kinda makes me want to order a flamethrower cheeseburger and a blizzard! Listen to DQ while eating DQ is a win/win!!! 🤣😂
Yes! Confirming that you said it first! I love the term: hip hopera!💕🎊🎊🎊
Woot woot!!! 🤩
Hip- Opera 😂😂😂
You have barely brushed the surface with Dimash🙄😂😂😂
As others have suggested the music videos for "When I've Got You" and "Be with Me" are sort of similar vibes, 😂😂😂 or as similar as Dimash gets.😂😉
I love Dimash's Pop style songs like "Give Me Your Love" and "Fly Away" and dancing EDM songs like "Weekend" and "NeverLand". Of course, his Folk stuff is also exceptional as some of my all time favorites are "Samaltau", "Marigolds", and "Daididau"
Dimash is like a very expensive assorted box of chocolates. You have no idea what taste you will experience next but the are all exquisite flavour explosions🤘❤️🔥🤘
🥰🥰Much love from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Oh boy… I’ve got work to do, eh?
I’ve added ALL of these to my list and will be firing up some more for SURE!!! 🤩
HipHopera - excellent way to characterize this song!! Much of his other material has been called Popera, but this one really is HipHopera!🔥💨
Pipers works. I like it, but once the guns come out, I think we jump in to hip hop. 🤣😂🤩
@@ReactionsThatRock 🤣😂 Popera is actually an old term they labeled Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli with; really any time an opera singer would sing a pop song, I guess lol
Hip-Hopera? 😂😂❤
There is also EDM and Folk in this.
But great description of the genre mix. 🔥😊 That’s what he does: he surprises us with every performance. You never know what the next genre(s) will be, what techniques he’ll use or even what note he might sing next. 🥰
He hasn’t participated in competition shows for a very long time and every one of his songs is very different from any other. So keep reacting and you’ll see!😉
There's even a touch of reggae, with the strings playing upbeats similar to a reggae rhythm during the first high notes. Then when he kicks into the higher harmony, that "bubbling" synth sound - such genius!
@@FretsOnFire yes ☺️👍🏼❤️
@@EllaSilentDragon 🤯👍💖
My only experience so far was much more operatic. This was uniquely delightful and I really can’t wait to see and hear some more modern styles from him! Simply amazing!!!🤩
i would love it if you could react to ‘Ateo’ by c tangana & nathy peluso 🥹🥹
I’ll get to it REAL soon!!!
You need a Hip Hopera playlist now.... granted, Di will be the only artist on it 😂
Oh… give it a bit and everyone and their brother will try (and fail) to copy this!
He’s a trailblazer but you KNOW others will try to keep up!!!
What amazes me is that he can hit any note that he wants and it's perfect without the music then as if he is playing an instrument .
Agreed! He’s an amazingly gifted singer. Just spectacular!
Can you react to Ateo of c tangana and nathy peluso?
I’ll check those out! Thanks for the recommendations!!!
Dimash as Agent DQ, with a siren voice to hypnotise the criminals😂😂😂❤❤❤
He’s just incredible! 🤩
I am so glad you enjoyed his new song! How about another recent one “When I’ve Got You”? I think you will be surprised again. 😊
Me too! This was a pleasant departure from the competition shows I'd seen. Really nice mix of modern and classic music styles. I'll check out When I've Got You soon! Thank you!!!
@@ReactionsThatRock He doesn’t do competition shows anymore (only as a judge lately). He does compose for himself more, which I love because he knows his voice best. His own compositions are very varied and dynamic.
Thank you for the reaction. I love it when Dimash pushes the boundaries.
@shelbyche...
Me too 😍😘 🤗 I'm happy with all of it now😄🎶🎶💖
Trust me! It was my pleasure!!!
Great reaction!!! Dimash Vocal Genius!!!
Thank you! He sure is!!!
Oh my gosh, you need to watch "Be With Me"! It's another official MV and has everything - pop, opera, rap, humor, intrigue, and action. You'll love it, check it out! Thanks for this reaction, it was great. Love the new term, Hip Hopera!!!!!!!
Thanks! Once the guns showed up, I couldn’t call it pop. 🤣
I’ll be checking Be With Me out real soon!!! Thanks!!!!😊
brilliant!!! Bravo Dimash!!!
I’d highly recommend his MV for Be With Me. It’s another of Dimash’s own pop compositions. The MV is hilarious and he shows you a few more skills you have not seen before. And as someone else recommended, the When I’ve Got You MV has another set of surprises. Dimash likes to mash up different genres and styles in one song, one of the many reasons why I love him and his music so much.
It really is different and incredible! I’ll check out Be With Me soon! Thank you!!!😊
The best thing about Dimash is that you never know what he's going to do next.
You should definitely do a reaction to his previous release When I've Got You which is a blues/rock combo.
@debbiemorgan Would you call it blurocopera?!!😂
I’m starting to learn that! I was expecting talent show opera and I got a fun poppy story! Can’t wait to hear more!!!
Agent DQ! 😂 love it!! Love DIMASH!!! ❤❤❤ completely tongue in cheek like Be With Me MV
I’ll be checking that out soon!!!🤩💜
He composed this song
He’s incredible!!!
There are many phenomenal singers in the world...and then there is Dimash Kudaibergen 🙂🙄🌹🥰🏆🏆🏆
No lies detected!!!
Popera has been said. Dimash does everything, & you'll learn that as time goes on.
Popera... that's a good one and probably a MUCH better fit than Hip Hopera (although, the guns make it possible!). :-)
@@ReactionsThatRock Well Dimash makes new words inventable.
@@ReactionsThatRock Hey, I commented "Hip Hopera" when I first saw the live song from Hong Kong! Dimash is the only artist who invents new genres for his fans to name!
@patriciacanadiansenior8130 😂clever!
@@geminitwin1160😂😂 Someone had better start a list before it gets too long! Then some of you musical geniuses out there can start defining the new genres.😅 Good luck 😘
Seems you have to see a lot more of Dimash performances 😂 There are many other stunning varieties
Love from Austria 🇦🇹
Yeah. I really am just getting started here. After this, I REALLY need to see (and hear) more!!!
@@ReactionsThatRock"It starts..." 😅 You're hooked, just so you know.😀😉
For another video showing his humorous side, please react to "Be With Me". Lot's of surprises.
Yes, yes, YES! Be With Me MV!!
I’ll add it to my short list!!! 😊
Dimash doesn’t always have operatic notes in it. Watch the mv for Be With Me. There’s some more surprises in that one. And his mv fir When I’ve Got You is another style. It has a couple of high notes, but definitely NOT sung in an operatic tone. Enjoy.
Appreciate the recommendations! I’ll be sure to check them out!!! 🤩💜
❤ 😂
💜😉
The man is talented for sure; kind of reminded me of the song from Fifth Element lol. A while ago I joked that if you reacted to the BTS guide, I would give you some Japanese rock bands, but then never gave you their names! Sorry😅 "Mayday" by Coldrain and "Renegade" by One OK Rock (first song goes hard, second is more Anthem rock) I know nothing about the bands but I really like these songs. Nice reaction by the way. Hip-Hopera 😂💜
Oh he did the Diva Dance from the 5th Element: And there are several versions: 😉🔥
Complete version from the Bastau concert:

Mashup of Diva Dance and Drunken Concubine:

And at least two more that I know of.
One OK Rock‘s Renegade is a very catchy song by the way! 😊
Thanks. Thanks. And thanks!
I’ll add these to my short list and be sure to check them out sooner rather than later!!!
I love that you know nothing about out the bands. It puts me in good company!!!
Meiw
Prrrrrrr
😻😻😅
👉 Wow, this is Popera at its best!!!
“Dimash Qudaibergen has repeatedly said that music has no borders, nationalities and distances.” (DimashNews)
How can you not fall in love with Dimash when he is a good “bad boy”, of course without socks, in (devilish) red and with sensual movements that make the girls dance for him like on strings (like in the performance video) ... and that voice! It gets into you and you become addicted and just want more Dimash. Even evil gangsters forget everything when listening to Agent DQ's “siren song” and just want to dance. (Official Music Video)
The song premiere took place on December 23, 2023 at Dimash's STRANGER concert in Hong Kong.

Excerpts from the DimashNews (DN) interview with music producer Dmytro Gordon (DG):
DN: Dmytro, for 8 years you have been working alongside Walter Afanasieff in his company WallyWorld as a lead orchestrator and arranger, and you both have also written music for films.
(Dimash's friend and world-famous American music producer Walter Afanassieff plays a small role in the video: He wears a checked blue shirt over a white shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses and is one of the gangsters who drive up in the car and bring the drugs.)
What are the similarities and differences between producing music for renowned artists in the US and working with Dimash?
DG: „I would say that Dimash is much more open to experimentation than any other artist I have had the pleasure of working with so far. When it comes to an established artist with an existing fan base, they and their label are usually very cautious about trying new styles, new vocal techniques or anything that might confuse or alienate their core audience. And that makes sense, but the catch is that after a while their repertoire stagnates.
Dimash is the bravest artist I know to date: he deeply respects and cares about his dears, but he's not afraid to try new things, which he proves time and time again, including his latest releases. On a personal level, our collaboration has also evolved into a friendship, for which I'm forever grateful. It's much more authentic and fun to make music as friends, rather than just as collaborators. Ask the Beatles.
SMOKE... is completely modern, even experimental in certain aspects. Yes, it has an operatic vocalise in the choruses, but the context in which we hear it makes it impossible to pigeonhole it into a genre. It's also minimalist and open when it comes to the vocal melodies, harmonic content and instrumental textures (though it's not easy, and Dimash's unique vocal skills still shine through). Every musical decision in Smoke is super precise: take one thing away, and the song falls apart. Add another element - and it becomes oversaturated. That's how I would describe it.
... It's such a joy and an incredible privilege to work with Dimash, who I truly consider to be one of the best musicians in human history.
And then to receive all the love and gratitude from his fan base just feels heavenly. I'm so grateful to everyone who supported these new releases and who took the risk with us to open their hearts and ears to the new, unknown sides of Dimash. As for the new works - I don't want to spoil any surprises yet. But to quote a classic: «Soon!»

** Walter Afanassieff, *1958 in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brasilien. His family came to Brazil from Russia in the late 1940s. American music producer and songwriter from ASCAP.
One of Afanasieff's biggest hits as a music producer was "My Heart Will Go On", the theme tune to the 1997 film Titanic, sung by Celine Dion. The song became the world's best-selling single of 1998.
Afanasieff created music with Mariah Carey from 1990 to 2001 and he produced and arranged other motion picture soundtracks, including Disney's Beauty and the Beast (the Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson title-track duet), Aladdin ("A Whole New World") and The Hunchback of Notre Dame ("Someday"). Afanasieff was also the producer and arranger for "Go the Distance", the Oscar-nominated Michael Bolton song from the animated film Hercules.**
Thank you so much for this! I greatly appreciate all of this!!! 💜🤩
