    Ty. I'm a dewalt person, but they're expensive, so I went back to harbor freight and saw they have increased their tools. I bought several tools from there when i was a roofer, but their tool selection was small over 20 years ago. I recently started getting into woodworking, and i made my first elevated plantar for my parents' anniversary and engraved signs by watching your tutorials. I truly appreciate these videos. It helps me a lot

    I’ve always been a firm believer in you get what you pay for. The few exceptions have often been Harbor Freight tools. They do actually have some quality tools for nice prices. They also keep things you nerve even knew you needed in your arsenal. I love Harbor Freight! Thank you for the info. Sam had to explain,ain’t he drill bits to me but they sound pretty cool.

    What would be the table saw blade from habor freight you would recommend

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  3 месяца назад

      If you're getting one from harbor freight, I'd go with the Hercules brand. We've never tried them, but we've been happy with all our Hercules products

      If you want to buy a saw blade at Harbor Freight, get the Hercules ones....They're pretty comparable to the Diablo blades.

    That angle grinder works just fine, if you don't keep the guard and cutting wheel tight on any grinder they work loose flop around and fly off....don't put down a tool just because you were the one not using it properly. I have several of the Warrior grinders, and a couple of the Chicago Electric ones, they work just fine when you use them properly. Switched on/off manually or the paddle switch doesn't matter, if you don't use it properly it'll eventually bite you.
    If your wrenches are slipping on bolts, you most likely aren't using the right wrench...see this all the time, people too lazy to go get the proper wrench and just wing it with whatever they happen to have....be it a metric or SAE, they just grab whichever that seems close and wonder why the wrenches slip....I have several sets of Pittsburgh wrenches and they don't slip unless I grab the wrong size.

      Well that's awesome if they work for you. On our channel, we recommend tools that we like and we've had good experiences with.
      Everyone has their own opinion, this is just ours 👍👍

      That Warrior Angle Grinder works just fine, I am still using a 4" Angle Grinder back when they were Chicago Electric, still works great. Don't matter what grinder you use, if you aren't using it properly you are gonna hurt yourself. Wear proper protective equipment, and pay attention to what you are doing....most accidents are caused by complacency in the workshop and distractions. Throw in, improper use of the tools as well.

    I think I have that angle grinder. I just haven't had the nerve to try using it. Now I won't! Thanks for the tip! I do have the Drillmaster router and still use it for carving even though I have a DeWalt trim router. I like the Drillmaster because it has clear plastic all round and there's plenty of light. I haven't got the nerve to try drilling a hole in the DeWalt like you show on a video. Maybe I'll get brave one day or maybe I'll just send it to you to do it for me! 😆 Thanks for the video. I like Harbor Freight too.

      😂😂 yeah, you definitely don't want to use a grinder like that. It's crazy dangerous!
      We can open up the back of your router housing. Just let us know. We've done that a lot

    • @wildbill23c

      LOL, that angle grinder works fine, I use several of them, different wheels on each so I don't have to swap cutting and grinding wheels all the time. Every single grinder out there will injure you if you don't use them properly and don't keep things properly adjusted on them. For $10-20 those grinders are great.

    Need to be aware of the warranty with the icon wrench sets. If you have to warranty a wrench, you have to turn in the entire set, not to just one wrench. It you happen to lose one from the set, the warranty is void for the rest of the set

      No kidding?? I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up

      That has not been my experience or HF company policy. I use Icon ratcheting wrenches to build marine engines. I have broken 2 of them and at 2 diffrent PDX HFs have replaced the single piece no hassle.

      My 3 local stores have warranted individual tools and not the entire set foe me and a couple of family members, watched them pull a new set off the shelf and pull just what I needed out for replacment. I assume thus is manager discretion ? Not sure what corporate policie is.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 2 месяца назад

      Have never had that issue, bring in the broken wrench, and they'll open another set and give you the wrench,.
