- Matthew Perry is an awesome table tennis player, so while he was here, Ellen challenged him to a match. Unfortunately, halfway through, Ellen had to call in a replacement for herself - table tennis champ Ariel Hsing!

For anyone pointing out her being Asian as a negative, just look at the three little letters on the front of her jersey: U, S, and A. Her name is Arial Hsing and she plays for the United States of America (think of the Disney hockey movie "Miracle").
She's good enough to represent the entire country. OUR country. How many of us will ever do that?
If you don't think of Michael Jordan as some African dude who was allowed to play in the NBA,
then I'm sure you can think of her as an American kid who's good enough to play for the US in international competition.
And who cares if it's just ping pong. It could be thumb wresting. In case you've forgotten, the chant goes: "USA! USA! USA!".
You know, sometimes I feel bad for minorities in our armed forces. They are willing to sacrifice their lives for this country and most of us refuse to even consider them Americans.

Even though Ariel plays for the USA, I think there's a part of her that's genuinely happy to have beaten Matthew :)
Ariel and I are good friends :) she represents usa and I represent Australia. We both competed at the Korean junior open just past week! Had soo much fun! Went shopping together and washed clothes together! She is actually really hyper and such an amazing player and friend!

The technique was illegal here. The player has to keep the ball in his palm and push it up in the air, after which the player can hit with paddle.
