- The Ohio State Buckeyes are now just single digit days away from their home opener against the Akron Zips, and there is just so much to talk about with this team. Really anything can happen, we know that talent is there, but with all the new talent we haven't seen it on the field. So I'm gonna talk about that, as well as the new allegations that have been coming out in the Michigan cheating scandal.

Games were scheduled several years in advance, before they knew that there was going to be a change in playoff format.
The schedule changed do to the add on in the conference. Plus the transfer portal. I still believe Oregon will win the Big 10, because Ohio St QB

Ohio State actually HAS to play at least one Ohio team. The Legislature threatened them years ago. I'd like to see them play Cincy instead though.
This year is the first time OSU hasn’t played a legit out of conference game in like 30 years, till like 2030 we play Texas, Bama, Georgia & its away one year & home the next or vice versa.
I agree with the clock stopping after 1st downs and out of bounds.
As a football player in the 90s and some expertise in the game you do want a blowout in these cupcake games because it will allow the starters to get better rest and recovery as well as the backups and 3rd string to get some experience in the game. Best thing Xichigan did vs everyone was they subbed out through the entire game to keep freshness on the field.
Playing a cupcake game for our first game is okay to me but after that bring in some better talent. If we would lose a game I would rather it be in the first 3 weeks instead of mid to late season. With the new 12 team playoff style this year It really wouldn't hurt to lose 1 game.
Funny thing I thought of last night trying to get to sleep, we won the National Championship the first on in 2015 under the new playoff style, wouldn't it be amazing if we won the National Championship under the new playoff 12 team extension style? EPEC!!!!!! GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!

Have you seen the clips of Stallions raising his arm on the sidelines and then the scum players following, James Franklin once said after a loss that it was as if they knew what play was coming. McCord was not good, didn’t look confident all year, I’m glad his father insisted that he start this year, wasn’t going to happen, so he left like a coward. Day getting an offensive coordinator will be a major difference, too much on his plate as unfortunately so much of a head coaches job is to beg for money.
Ohio State lost to Missouri because they were on their third string quarterback early in that game, and # 2 defense was on the field for most of the game, and got tired! They shut Missouri out until early fourth quarter, with no offensive production! Would have been a different outcome, if Ohio State had McCord, Harrison Jr. , and probably others available to play! Even Brown, if he doesn’t get injured early in the game! 🌰🏈
Michigan cheated and we didn't play our starters vs Missouri (great program btw all love) but we would have probably beat them with our starters
It's not a video game. These games are scheduled out like 10 years in advance. Ohio State is playing a home and home against Georgia in 2030 and 2031
It is wise to start your season out with a mid-level team so that you can make your mistakes cheaply.
Already announced that the Penn State game will not be the "white out" game...

College teams don't have the luxury of scrimmages. Part of the reason they schedule easy teams is to work out the kinks that they would be able to work out if they were to scrimmage other teams before the season starts

Thee Ohio State would still be undefeated for more than two decades over the Michigan Cheaterines, if they hadn’t sunk so low over the last three years of cheating! Prior to that, Ohio State had beaten Michigan 8 straight years, and 17 of the last 21 years! I would call that owning a team! As an Ohioan I cheer for the bucks but there has been WAY too much hype. You can be like the yankees and just collect all the top talent but if they can't play as a team it won't matter. Lucky for them they have some easy games to start so the offense can get in sync.

How do you know what any team will look like until they play. FSU proved this and so did GT. How bout we start talking bout how the clock stopping after first downs needs to come back. Teams are getting really no possessions in games and teams are taking 7 min drives on 10-14 plays a possession. The 2 min timeout didn’t do shit. They also spot the ball so fast that the time really doesn’t stop at all. It’s not healthy for the game. I mean I’m a defensive guy but offenses only getting like these limited amount of possession is how football works especially at the college game. The GT FSU game proved that and so did a lot of games last year. Alls look at the plays teams have not just possession. FSU had 58 plays and GT had 52. They said that it didn’t really change how many plays teams had but FSU vs GT showed different. Only problem is the casual which there is ton now in CFB doesn’t understand how any of this stuff works so they just see touchdowns. So attention to my point won’t get a lot of attention.
Its not Ryan Days fault the schedule is full of cupcakes.. Schedules are made 10 years in advance, it is what it is.
