  • Now that the BMW G80 / G82 M3 / M4 Competition Remus systems have been available for a few weeks, we thought it would be a good idea to put together a comparison video and show the different variations for this modular system.
Shmee's G80 M3 Competition runs the full complete Remus system which includes secondary CAT replacement and OPF delete which gives an incredible sound.
Our G82 M4 Competition with the Remus Axel back race system with Res delete. This system still keeps the OPF filters and secondary CATS in place.
Lastly the G80 M3 Competition had the Remus Axel back system fitted, this is essentially the rear box and keeps the OPF, CATS and RES in place but still gives you that epic tone.

Great video! Two questions. Does Remus supply all the mounts/connection hardware needed? And what is the diameter of the pipe where the tips get mounted? I am located in the US and not a lot of info out there on this system yet. Thank you!

The full cat-back is too loud and not a good tone - too raspy. The axle-back is too muted. The OPF back sounds the best of these 3 options. What would be the difference between Race and Sport version? Just different loudness volume or is there a tone difference as well?

    Another cracking video Mike!
It's a shame that thew exit pipes are so large! I had the Remus system on my M140 also... the pipework is the correct size and then the Remus exit pipes/tail pipes were 100mm across but only for the last 3 or 4 inches... internally the exit is much smaller. I think the system would look way better with more reasonable sized exits.

Hi i have a question concerning the axleback (not opf back so with mid resonator in place) as i've read the stock rear muffler goes straight out so bypasses the muffler with valves open so is there any difference with the remus rear muffler valves open? Its for a 23 m4 comp

    • @MotechPerformance

Mike I know I've asked before and I think you've said they just do axle back at the moment. But are Remus doing the OPF back with res delete (modular style system) for the X3M competition (F97) as desperate for that as it's just the right exhaust note and how the cars should have come from factory in my opinion.
