- Serbia's Eurovision 2021 group Hurricane tell us they will bring all their "Loco Loco" energy to the song contest stage. In our interview Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić and Ksenija Knežević reveal that their staging will be totally different to their music video and tease some fabulous costumes.

While explaining the song Sanja said it’s a love song something something between a boy and a girl “in our case” hinting that it would be totally ok if it was same sex love. and I found it so cute because they are so open minded. And that is rare in Serbia unfortunately
It's not rare at all, stop perpetuating clichés about our country. And what do you mean by open-minded? Someone who is okay with only sex love is open-minded, but someone who wants a steady emotinal relationship and doesn't regard sex as the most important thing is not? To be open-minded means to be tolerant of various choices people make. There are many such people in Serbia.

@@YEYE030 She has publically humiliated contestants on the Serbian talent show "Zvezde Granda" for years now including fatshaming. She intimidates candidates into obeying her every word
I'll take a recent event: she was talking about a candidate and said that she dressed like an old auntie and then proceeded to comment that said candidate is to young to be able to deliver the emotion the song she sang potrayed (loss of a loved one), and the candidate immediatelly responded that yes she can. Jelena immediatelly cut her right back off and said that that was the last time she cut her off or that she will face consequences. When the candidate started crying Jelena said that showbussiness is no place for crybabies. After the candidate shared some stories showing some support for her against Jelena, Jelena went on a public rant to shame the candidate further, eventually having the candidate be disqualified from the contest. She also threatened to take her to court due to "lynching from the media that the candidate has caused"
another one that I clearly remember is an obese candidate coming to compete and (not only her) but almost the entire jury agreed that she could not be mentored by them if she didn't lose weight and "stopped eating burgers"
all in all, Jelena has tormented candidates for years, calling them various names, telling them that they have no place in the music industry even if their careers haven't even started yet etc.
I'm not even getting into being a false LGBT+ ally, wearing fur while being a PETA ambassador etc
I remember Karleusa being brought to tears when she was a guest in ZAM yeeears ago (in the '90s) over the fact that she came to the show wearing a short hair made into spikes 🗯 It was too ahead of time.
I think she's giving the same treatment to the competitors that she experienced.
There is a thing of having to be a reaaaally good singer who will keep audience's attention whatever they look on stage or - if singing is not top notch - risking being unnoticeable and forgotten, in which case such singers need to bring more to the stage, and that means you really stand in front of a mirror and start working on your stage presence.
I do agree Jelena's choice of words could be better. While it's perfectly fine to be direct and ,,teach a showbiz lesson" to the competitors explaining to them what they are missing, I don't think there is a need to traumatize them, as they are still just competing for an opportunity to become stars.
