It's just so much fun and such a thrill to see someone get enjoyment out of the dancing this way. That isn't too common this year. He tries so hard and when it pays off it's always a big highlight.

Nathalie, Artem and James to me are the best SCD choreographers. Their musicality is extra ordinary -- the lifts and the drops and spins and the smooth, flowing moves are placed at the right tempo and mood of the music. Nathalie's New York, New York is inspired (as well as her quickstep with Ricky Whittle). Michael's brilliant -- last to go, dancing with all those lifts to a grand music. I love this!
This was the best dance of the series in my opinion. I love Natalie to bits and he danced this so well
After tonight I don't think anyone can top Natalie Lowe as the best choreographer ever on Strictly. This was sublime.
I always tear up a little bit at this - the utter joy shines out of them.

The floor was too big and there were way too many distractions, like the lights all over the place.

A lovely fun routine, but he danced just 4 bars in hold, and two of those went unseen because the cameras cut to an aerial shot. Quite why Len chose to throw his toys out of the pram over Kara&Artem not dancing 60% of their American Smooth in hold is one of the enduring mysteries of how and why Len is Head Judge and there as the ballroom expert.
You're right, Michael really did have to take a risk going out there and selling that, without any nerves, or the weird sense of shame people sometimes get on these shows. It must have been overwhelming.
For once I think the props (extra dancers) worked, as the Wembley space is way too big and swallows the dancers whole.

I would just like to thank the band and singer for massacring one of my favorite songs. And did we really need half the Rockettes dancing in the background?
