Eclisse Pocket Door - www.eclisse.co...
In today's video, Pete is building his very first pocket door system! This particular door is a classic model manufactured by Eclisse. Pete gives you his initial thoughts on the installation process and whether the building of this system can be overseen by your average DIY'er.
PLEASE NOTE: we’ll endeavor to answer questions and comments as soon as possible depending on our work schedules.

How to Install a Pocket Door!
#PocketDoorInstallation #PocketDoorDIY #DIYTutorial
Awesome, I love pocket doors. If there isn’t one on this it’s worth getting the cable kit to make a pair open and close simultaneously, it’s really impressive to everyone who sees them and much more functional 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Nicely presented Pete; to think you used to be scared of the camera, now you're nearly as chatty as Tony or John! Great job
Hi David much appreciated Pete has done an amazing job a true natural all the best Tony 👍
Beautiful but... Why you got gap on middle of door when are they shut. For that price supous to be good quality doors.
I'd be really interested to see how you trimmed the other side with the reveal.
I'm fitting an eclisse door at the moment against a solid wall, but ordered the syntesis version so that I can continue the plaster right up to the opening.
If you would like to get in touch with Eclisse, contact us on 0333 5770828 or info@eclisse.co.uk and we may be able to advise more information to assist you with this. ECLISSE UK
Enjoyed that pete makes everything look easy .The doors are a good space saving idea and they are quirky nice touch .👍💯
Thanks buddy, have an awesome week! 👍
‘…ruin of many a weekend with the missus’ sums up my experience with IKEA flat pack as well 😂
Good craftsmanship Pete good to see someone that has pride 👌🔨
All the team at A&E love Pete. Absolute top bloke! Have a great week Daniel 😊👍
Great video, we're planning to fit a couple of sets of pocket doors to our extension that hopefully will start in a few months...
Thanks John! Hope all goes well with the fitting 😊👍
Thats a great looking job and a really helpfull video if you need to install pocket doors but havn't done one before. Looks like an excellent product also.
Awesome job Pete 👏 going that extra little mile pays dividends
Thanks for watching Mark! 👍
Excellent job Pete going to have to look at this system looks a great product well done to all
Thanks Lee! 👍
Great presentation I've fitted loads of these accuracy is the key and know the finished floor height 👍
Thanks Martin! 👍
Great job Pete !
looks dope! thanks Pete
A personal favourite.
Thanks for watching Andrew! 😊👍
Great work as always. 👍👍
Nice job , I have helped to fit a couple of set’s of this brand and found them easy to do. The polystyrene spacers are temporary while building the kit, if you can get them out after plaster boarding they do help to stop bowing when screwing the boards.
Hi Kevin much appreciated great shout on the polystyrene blocks all the best Tony 👍
Nice little touch
Looking very nice Pete. 👊🏻
Thanks Dan! Take care buddy 😎👍
Good job Pete
Top job Pete 👊🏻
Thanks Marc 👍
Awesome work Pete, thanks again for another great video 🤙
Thanks for watching Stephen 😎👍
Nice job pete
Great stuff Pete
Thanks Adrian! 👍
Great video, thanks
No problem, have a great week! 👍
Brilliant! We’ve got got six to do in our new build, could you pop down to Devon?
Nice work. Great video. Is the top rail adjustable at all? Trying to understand whether the final passage width is fixed or whether it allows some adjustment +/- a few millimetres.
Hey much appreciated it’s fully adjustable all the best Tony 👍
Cheers Tony@@BuildWithAE
Just a shame that kit doesn't have the option to link the tracks with a belt system so they open evenly from centre out.
Beautifully done though 👌💪👍
Was thinking of fitting one of these! Is there anyway of fitting a light switch close to the door opening?
The door is tight to the frame. Possibly could if using 16mm pattress box for one light once you factor in plasterboard and plaster. Possibly. Depending on where it’s going, you could double up on the plasterboard.
Probably would fit a 25mm box tho thinking about it
Hi Pete.
Nice Pete.
Cya Pete.
Hi Bob.
Thanks for watching Bob!
Have an awesome week Bob 😜👍
When we getting another video in the extension series ?? Looking forward to seeing how it’s coming on
The video drops next Monday 👍
Nice one Pete.👍👍🍺🍺
Thanks 👍
Nice work! The only slight criticism i have and maybe i cant see great from the video, but because the doors have glass, when they are open you can see the metal frame inside?
Hello Shane. This can be a consideration when using glazed doors, a simple solution is to line the inside of the pockets with 2-3mm thick sheet material to hide the inside of the pocket. ECLISSE UK
@@eclisseUK I'm gonna be ordering a single system shortly. Do you have a link to the most suitable router bit for the groove please?
If the doors where fitted correctly ie not all the way into the pocket you would not be able to see the frame.
Really helpful video, thanks. Just one question, did you have to pack the Eclisse frame up for your finished floor level, pressuming floor wasnt tiled when frame was installed?
TIA.
Hello Simon, Packing the system up to finished floor level is best practice as it avoids any trimming of the doors, there is approximately 10-15mm of adjustment in the hanging bolts at the head of the door however if this hasn’t been done then you can reduce the door height if you needed. For more information, please contact us on 0333 5770828 or info@eclisse.co.uk and we will be more than happy to help. ECLISSE UK
Nice looking job you've done Pete 👌 but at point 11.00 when removing the track, am I right in saying that it is screwed in the opening part and slips into clips in the internal wall. Is there no way of fitting the backstop as you're assembling the metal frame.
I fitted this same kit a while back and you can fit the stops before plaster boarding over the frame - I'd advise doing it that way and temporarily fitting the doors and getting them running nicely and stopping where you want them. It save having to take the track out.
@@jewellers Good thinking, I'd be inclined to do it the same way before covering it all in. Thanks for the advice mate.
Hello Kevin. The rear adjustable stop is pre-fitted by Eclisse and will make the door protrude from the pocket approximately 70-80mm. You would adjust the position of this stop if you wanted to change this dimension, however it wouldn’t be possible to do during installation without precise measurements being taken. ECLISSE UK

Absolutely awesome. Looks really nice.. just a couple of questions. Does a soft close mechanism come with this kit? Also was there a track groove cut in the floor to help keep the doors straight when closed. Just curious as it looked like a slot cut along the floor to me.. really enjoyed the video .. all the best
Hi asif much appreciated the soft close is an extra purchase the slot we used a tile expansion trim all the best Tony 👍
@@BuildWithAE cheers Tony. Much appreciated
Hello Asif. There is a BIAS anti-slam soft close option available for this system. The system is designed not to require any grooves or tracks to be cut into the floor and so will allow continuous flooring through the opening. ECLISSE UK
Installing these at the moment, mine doesn't seem to have come with the rail you have recessed into the ground
Hi buddy it would have them speak to the supplier
Nothing about the jambs?!
Looked nice, however they are not supposed to disappear completely into the wall. You should see about 85mm of the door. Someone could break the fingers or your get a nice black man’s pinch! You also didn’t show how to fit the door lining or any of the brushes.
