louis tomlinson started his career on x-factor, quickly becoming a global phenomenon and making history as part of the band one direction, at the young age of 18. however, when the band went on hiatus, louis had to gain confidence in himself and find his solo sound, all while facing devastating losses and online hate.
thank you so much for 7k! you all are the absolute best and I'm forever grateful for the support and community we have here. you all make me smile so much!
Just wanted to talk about why I chose to exclude certain things... First, this documentary is heavily centered around Louis' solo career/who Louis is. While I briefly summarized one direction' success, and it will forever be a part of Louis, I really wanted to highlight how far he's come on his own. Second, I just hate how it's often more about an artist's love life than their career and therefore, I didn't mention anyone he has claimed to or been rumored to be with. While I personally believe closeting is an important part of his career, I didn't wan't to tell a narrative that fans have created based on hints we've seen. I wanted this to be Louis story and what Louis has chosen to share with us so far. when I started, I decided that if I was going to create a 40 minute video on him, then I wanted everything to be 100% candid and no controversies. That way, it would appeal all sides of the fandom and we can all love it without hating each other. Finally, I went back and forth with including his fall out with Zayn, but decided against it because again, this is about Louis solo career, not his time in 1d. I didn't want to rehash old wounds, especially since Louis handled the falling out publicly well (for the most part), and we've yet to hear Zayn's side of things. Plus, we have no idea where their relationship stands today.
in case you couldn't tell by the channel name, this is not an "official" documentary. Louis definitely was not consulted in the making of this video. These are just my favorite performances, interviews, and Louis moments which I used to tell Louis story. hopefully one day we will actually get a documentary if that's what Louis wants!

@@marithedove5642 yes periodt. i have grown to become a louie and i love him so much, and although i did get into all of 1d cause of larry...im so glad. and i am also a solo louie stan, even if and when he is not in relation to larry. okay but how did yall get into 1D. i became a harry stan, and then i realized he was in one direction which made me shocked, but i wasn't as into 1D and was just into harry and larry...and then with the larry videos came getting to know 1D and then i fell in love with all the boys and here i am today with enough knowledge on the boys to be considered a veteran larrie, and i listen to 1d music all day everyday along with the boys solo music and my life has never been the same. and to bring it back to louis...i am so so so happy i now stan him and know who he is cause he is the absolute sweetest. also olivia i love your name 😏😉

Well I knew a little bit about harry, not much, just that he was a good singer etc., Then I watched the videos" difference between harry styles and other celebrities " and I fell in love with his nature. Then I saw this tiktok trend of "night changes" where people would show kind of "then vs now" videos.
I fell in love with the song. I searched it up And got to know about one d. I was like "Oh , this is the name my friend used to say all the time" I loved their music. Then I was watching a live performance of "night changes" where harry was totally serenading louis. I saw the comments everyone was like "Omg, harry keeps looking at louis " , I was pleasantly surprised. Then I saw their x factor auditions and stuff, then I saw the Larry hug and the comments below too. Then I began watching larry videos , proofs, timeline story from "cosmic leeds".
and now I am a larrie and a directioner.
And also fan of their solo careers!
Something about louis, makes me respect him and admire him very much.

I love Lou so much. He’s been through more shit then many have their entire life in just 29 years. He lost his Fizzy and Jay, his mother and sister at such a young age. He had to hide who he was because people told him he couldn’t be that way (modest and cowell). He also was able to continue to make music for his fans despite what he’s going through. He has the most amazing character in this whole world. He’s sassy, caring, funny and an incredible person. He has the ability to make me and so many others smile and laugh by just being himself. He may not know what but he’s out here saving lives. Louis is always going to be a huge part of my life. He’s so strong. Love you Lou!
I know! I excluded closeting and the documentary still has so many horrible and traumatic things that have happened to him and his family. he’s such a good person and I can’t believe everything he’s gone through and he’s not even 30. I love him so much

@ Lyla Roppel, not sure about the "hide who he is" part, as Louis is very vocal about who he is, just that some people just do not listen. There is nothing in the video that speaks about his sexuality, so if that is what you are writing about, all genuine Louies' would prefer if you do not make assumption, if that is the case he will let us know in his own time. PS @fookin avocados, beautifully done video, I am sure Louie would love it

I think Louis is just so intriguing because honestly if you just looked at him he has so many hidden layers. He may come off as a sassy and life of the party type of person and maybe he is that person sometimes, but I think that’s just one layer of him. For example when you look at videos of one direction on stage he makes sure to have fun and keep the show going while also being extremely protective and aware of the boys and what’s happening on stage. He also personally says he wears his heart on his sleeve and he likes PDA and has FAIRY LIGHTS around his home, it’s just a drastic difference from what the media perceives him as.I think he just is really emotionally intelligent and aware even if we don’t always see it

@ Sabrina Paul, I think that we have yet to meet the real Louis, in his previous interviews he use to say he lacked confidence and he was always trying to find his place in the band, sometimes he even wondered why he was even in the band. Never getting a solo during x factor, the press and some fans gave him a hard time calling him ugly that he couldn't sing, he was the worst member of the band. So he developed a character where he became sassy, some persons says he is/was aggressive in order to compensate and deal with all that hate as a teenager. Now we are seeing some shades of the real Louis, a kind compassionate man that writes beautiful music and wears his heart on his sleeves. Louis forever💙💙💙💙💙💙
Just remember the grown up Louis you see has still all the great qualities and the same person inside as when he was 18. Who couldn't love Louis, he's always been my favourite.😉❤😎

I think there’s a way you could make a documentary and make it respectful, but for now I think I probably won’t. it’s just too risky with feeling proud of the content im making and with how much hate i’d receive. plus it would be hard to make it different from larry’s honeys ultimate marathon

Whoa....the weakest link?? His sense of humor was the best of all the guys. Extremely witty. He wrote the majority of the group's songs. Same here! For me, everything started with Harry Styles carpool karaoke. Just one month later, I already adored 1D, Harry Styles and I was starting to listen to Louis and Niall. Now, 8 months later, I absolutely adore the boys, especially Louis and Harry, I listen to all of their music and I have found other artists that I like through them (like Ashe)

I've been a fan of Louis since 2012. Being a Louie as long as I have, it gives a different perspective. He definitely wasn't appreciated and recognized as he is now. It warms my heart to see him probably have the most dedicated and supportive fan base out of the boys. He worked hard for every bit of that and it's completely deserved. I've always admired how Louis is unapologetically himself. He has so much heart and he doesn't come off like a lot of celebrities. He seems so down-to-earth and genuine. It's very refreshing to see someone of his status so in touch with "real" people. Also his relationship with us is something very rare and you don't see very often. He knows we can be a little too much sometimes, but he's always had our backs. After everything he's been through, his strength is inspiring. It's something I'm reminded of when I'm going through my own personal battles. He's my comfort person. This is a fan for life. Sorry for the ramble! Louis just gets me all in my feelings.

Two Of Us hit us all hard. It’s a powerful song that is sung by a powerful singer. Louis is a smol bean and a great singer that we have all loved for a long time (you’ve gotta admit, we have all been his fans for a while). He wrote something so emotional and personal about one of the biggest griefs in his life. I for one will stay by his side (even if it’s behind barricades) through every album and every song he describes to release. We all miss 1D, because without them, we wouldn’t know the precious Louis Tomlinson. His time on One Direction made him feel like the one that hides in the shadows, but we have all proved him wrong. I love Louis, you love Louis, we all love Louis. He is an inspiration and an amazing lad. I hope to see more songs from him in the future. ✌🏼❤️

This is such a brilliant documentary! I won't lie I discovered him (and Harry) via Larry but it is honestly more than that now and I'm so glad I found Louis and discovered his songs... He's my comfort person and I don't know how I've gone so long without knowing him and his music... He's so funny and cute and precious and genuine and kind and caring and "a really great person to sit and admire what he's like"... I hate the fact that he thought so poorly of himself when he's so beautiful and perfect and deserves the world... To the louies who stream his music and love him for him y'all are the best set of fans... I hope to cuddle him one day and I'm happy to be a louis girl 🌈
Louie is and was so gorgeous it is hard to believe some people labeled him the ugly one. Louie was always my favorite even though I liked all of them and thought all looked good. Louie is not only handsome he is a great song writer and singer. His voice is angelic and without Louie the band would not have sounded as great as they did. Louie was and is so honest and humble and gives articulate interviews. I so enjoy listening to him. I wish him only the best and hope he gets more and more fans that hear him as a soli artist. Louis is a true artist.

So happy that Louis pursued his solo career. He has such a beautiful voice…love his music.
I fell in love with Louis even before I heard him sing. I didn't even see the other 1D members, just him. The guy is just gorgeous. Then I later heard his voice on his solo of More Than This, and literally fell in love with his voice. I only listened out to his solos and looked for him in every song video. His solo album is my favorite and Kill My Mind and Just Hold On, are my top songs. Anyone talking ill about this angel, should just be ashamed. His song writing is remarkable and you'd easily tell his songs in 1D just by the raw and honest lyrics. Louis, you pulled all those 1D members from their shells and made them accept who they are today. That's a milestone and your crown. You are truly the sun. Keep shining and don't let anyone dim your light.

That right there is a strong person in my belief, to talk over your own emotions, to let your thoughts out, coherently when u just want to cry out very loudly, close to wailing.
