this is the song I played for the love of my life when we took our first car ride together bc I wanted him to feel what i felt....the end of that song with the strings echoes all the way back to that time. that was February 2001. 19 and in love. we are more in love now than ever...
I love how she always changes the arrangement for old songs according to the theme of the era like when she "voltalized" (just to call it someway) Army Of Me. This sounds like the studio vespertine version of Possibly Maybe
exactly! once, i slept with björk's music on, and woke up in the middle of the night to turn it off, and between dreams i was still listening the songs and having wicked dreams about which made me wake up every hour, it was such a weird night, and when i finally woke up, hyper-ballad was playing in my head
what I really love about possibly maybe is how the phone beeping resonates through the opera... the first 50 seconds really strongest imo. and the whole royal opera performance totally rocks (generous palmstroke, hyperballad, isobel, it's in our hands - top)
can't explain the feeling.... such an awesome performance combined with a beautiful, powerful voice that no singer can ever replicate.... and so raw....
"You have to be in a certain place-in-time, to understand the mood" you are right, when i was like 13 i listened to björk but all i heard were weird random noises specially in Mouths Craddle, that song kind of scared me, but one day i decided to hear that song again and now i cant stop listening to it, it has such an addictive beat, specially in the throat singing part
As much as I definitely enjoy solitude I wouldn't mind, perhaps spending little time with you sometimes, sometimes i get chills with this very part of the song; it describes me so well, i cant be with people all the time, i sometimes need time for myself, and i enjoy both sides of me :)
Yes possibly maybe is a good way to describe how i really do cherish my solitude and i think i need that because if you spend to much time with people you end up becoming a big conglomeration of the people you are around. Also i dont get all of bjorks poetry but sometimes i like to sleep to bjork and a sound i have been listening to for years i finnaly get upon awakening
so fuckin good... "Electric shocks i love them dozen a day when I'm with you but after a while I wonder, where's the love you promised me, where is it?"
OMG...I knew this song was familiar. During the late 90's-early 2000's VH1 used to have a late night music video 4-hour block called Insomniac and this was the shows theme song. The intro of this song at least. I ♥ ♥ ♥ Bjork!
Here years later after its all over I believe she is the only person who understands it, no other song has captured my emotion, she is one of the best artists and visionaries of all time
Someone here wondered why Björk had not received 100 Grammies... Well, the fact that she hasn't is very telling.. not about Björk... but about the Grammies. The grammies are crappies. Real artists do not receive grammies.
Their music lacks substance. It's empty and devoid of all meaning and emotion. Only words of meaningless existences to keep the veil over modern society. I'm grateful for souls like Björk to give us true music.
I disagree at some point. Great artists received Grammys like MJ and Stevie Wonder are one of them. But the Grammys is so local lol They're racist & xenophobe. That's why they can't be taken seriously.
@@Isabella-wm3th Yes, indeed. The only thing that it takes to receive a grammy is to be mainstream, American and popular. Those who are actually not mainstream, not American, but arty, innovative and interesting, such as David Bowie, who barely ever got a grammy despite his superlative back catalogue from the 70s., don't get a grammy.
Bjork is not only different from any other singer for her (poetic and artistic) style, but also for her lives shows. Any other singer search the perfect performance, but not Bjork: she isn't interested to it. I love her style to appeared with strange and prohibitive clothes, that would be ridicoulus in other singers (I admire her bare feet). Every ugly thing in the hands of Bjork is beautiful.
I was there..I loe it when shes says the wrong words accidentally on purpose then she sounds more vulnerable!! (Im lilplinky-BrightonRock's friedn who's own account I cannot access ,arrgh!)
"I'm exhausted, leave me alone"= My lifelong anthem.
Me too

that is so beautiful....
FaerieDust That's so lovely! I was born in that year. I hope my future partner appreciates Björk hah x)
That’s rad
I am so glad for you!! wish you two a long life in love!
beautiful.
hope you both have a happy long life together
She is so perfect, no make up, natural hair, no shoes, just a McQueen dress, history.
I love how she always changes the arrangement for old songs according to the theme of the era like when she "voltalized" (just to call it someway) Army Of Me.
This sounds like the studio vespertine version of Possibly Maybe
I was just thinking about how much this sounds like something off of vespertine.
can definitely see that. good ear
"Well, it came about through happenstance -that I happen to be happy. You're just a bonus to that."
dreamy and intoxicating....
The climax of this performance (electric shocks) gave me the shivers.
Amazing song by an amazing performer.
Bjork sang with emotion and you can feel it!
exactly!

That Mcqueen dress is everything!!
coco100m I feel like she was made to wear his pieces and he was made to design specifically for her RIP
Discordance has never sounded better
lol no doubt

2:19
Well, it came about through happenstance
That I happen to be hap-happy
You're just a bonus to that
i love how bjork always plays with the tempo and timings of her lyrics when she's playing live, sounds so GOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"You have to be in a certain place-in-time, to understand the mood"

Can't stop listening to this song.
I love that she's barefoot and has her lower half covered in feathers...Bjork's uniqueness is so beautiful and so refreshing.
3:23 - 3:45 holy shit 😍
I'm breathless. As much as I love the album version, I love this performance so much more.
Not to mention she's ridiculously gorgeous!!
"Who knows what will happen? Lottery or car crash; Or you'll join a cult."
Bravo.
Lottery or car crash
@@jalexseva4190 Good catch! Corrected!
I knowww. Bjork really links some unusual poetic touches in her lyric writing.
possibly maybe the best live performer.
As much as I definitely enjoy solitude
I wouldn't mind, perhaps
spending little time with you
sometimes, sometimes
i get chills with this very part of the song; it describes me so well, i cant be with people all the time, i sometimes need time for myself, and i enjoy both sides of me :)

The saddest day of my life is when this song ends. Good thing i can rewind it and listen and watch her again.
Damn, she's so weird and awesome, I can't love her enough!!

"Electric shocks i love them dozen a day when I'm with you but after a while I wonder, where's the love you promised me, where is it?"

esta mujer es un genio!!
I see a full sea of emotions reflected in her eyes
That was beautiful!!

Она просто АФИГЕННАЯ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here years later after its all over I believe she is the only person who understands it, no other song has captured my emotion, she is one of the best artists and visionaries of all time
HBD bjork!!!!
la amo anche io!!! - we have to say that this performance is at the 14th night of the 19 of this night - tired but still extremely good...
I love the extra bit she threw in, it is so nice.
splendida,incantevole....non riesco a dire altro.
Love it live, everything just flowing even the extra lyrics she put in
wow.. great performance.. i like how she was able to find a way to preserve the loops and samples while performing live..
love it love love!
We are so lucky to be able to listen to this free will
Bjork's Royal Opera House Concert= Heaven

I'd don't like everything Bjork does... but this is absolutely breathtaking. Thumbs up!!
Love her wish I could've seen her or Portishead live

No, it's a concert from the "Vespertine" era, from 2003, I think. it's available on dvd and it's AMAZING
I really really would love to be there... :(
i keep calm, admiring your lava
Wow.
🙏🏼

@WentMillerGal15 Ha, I remember that. They used a clip of this song. That was such a long time ago!
I once went on an Ableton course, where I studied with B.J.Cole.
That was just after my H.G.V. crash.
:D*
I love this version. Definitely better than the original version
Bjork detiene y avanza al universo a pasos agigantados....
PV
the strong unfulfilled emotion behind ......
this is ellen page's favorite bjork song
She's saying "lottery or car crash" ("who's knows what's going to happen.") duh!
@augusmilenium i mean da lyrics, i obviosly know this is a live version...
I AM BJORK
no se que decir........
mas bien creo que no diré nada.... y así!
cool
I like the fones caling
I LOVE the stage set very european.
I was there..I loe it when shes says the wrong words accidentally on purpose then she sounds more vulnerable!! (Im lilplinky-BrightonRock's friedn who's own account I cannot access ,arrgh!)
why in the minute 2:19 is different then the version that I have? :'(
I wouldn't be surprised if it was björk herself. from what I understand, she's quite the accomplished composer.
happenstance? what is that line? I can't hear it very well. that's not on the album version right?
Matmos
That's the secret to fairy dust....hope kindeness... and being a force of good.
Matmos ... what a combo
12 ans sont+que mes doights, possibly Mai Bee...
