- I started the 6th Stage of the Ireland Way at Milestone, the first village on the Ormond Way. This section had lovely views as I rose and dipped among the hills and valleys that went through the villages of Upperchurch, Templederry, Toomevara, Cloughjordan, Ballingarry, Aglish and ending at the quaint Port town of Portumna on the River Shannon.

Ireland is a country I hope to visit someday, but there's no way I could travel through the way you are. I'd be petting the horses and checking out the traditional music at the Irish pubs at night. Truth be told, I want to stop and look at everything no matter what routes I take, so I'll never be a through-hiker. Instead, I enjoy it through the eyes of people like you. Thanks for all you share.
You’re quite welcome. I often said, “I’ve got to come back again someday.” 😁
Very nice video. Thank you Rev. May the Lord shine his blessings on you, light your path, and give you a safe journey
Thanks. You’re very kind. 😁
Mr.Rev, Simply your my worrior and the best hiker i know❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Adam. You’re very kind.😁
Hi Rev. I'm glad to see you're back. 🎉
Thanks Theresa. It’s great to be back.😁
Thank you Rev! Great video of some amazing country!
You’re welcome. Ireland is a beautiful country. 😁
Another great video . Ireland is such a beautiful place and I am planning to visit in the near future. Cant wait to see the rest of the trip and the scenery and places you visit. Cheers Rev and have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you so much, Derek. I’m glad you’re able to come along with me. Hope you enjoy the journey.😁
Evening, Rev. Glad to be back in Ireland with you. Such a beautiful country. Nice to see the River Shannon. I've heard about it in my reading. I like those little villages. I think you made a friend in that horse. Take care. Stay safe. See you next video. Hey Rev, ya'll be careful in that horrible heat ya'll are having right now in CA.
Thanks Judith. I have been thoroughly enjoying my thruhike at the Ireland Way.
By the way, the San Francisco Bay Area, where I live has a totally different weather microclimate than the rest of California. The high is supposed to be 68 today. 😁
Liquid Irish sunshine...great!
Yep…gotta love it. It’s what makes everything so green. 😁
@@TheHikingRev We have also plenty of that liquid sunshine in Switzerland this year.
Beautiful video! Love the lush green scenery, beautiful horses and curious cows. You put in a lot of miles that one day- your campsite in the field looked comfy despite the talkative 🐦⬛ crows. Well done.
Thank you, Rebecca. Is it easy to take great photos and videos with such beautiful landscapes. 😁
Thanks for taking us with you
You’re quite welcome. I’m glad you’re able to come along with me. I hope you enjoy the journey.😁
Fantastic! Great to see the rest of your trip!
Thanks, Larry. I’m glad that you’re able to come along with me. I hope you enjoy the journey.😁
That was great! Tough first day, crows waking you up way to early, then your morning coffee garbled with watermelon... That's funny! :>)
Hey Peter. Thanks. Yeah…kinda of a crazy start. 😁
Go to see you on trail again! I have been looking forward to this. Beautiful countryside there.
Thanks Ruth. Ireland is a very beautiful country.😁
Hi Rev! Good to see your smiling face!
Thanks. I guess it’s better than frowning all the time.😁
Glad to see you back on the trail and being able to get back to Ireland. Enjoying the landscape.
Thanks . It is great to be back in Ireland and hiking in one of the most beautiful country sides imaginable.😁
As always Rev, great job! Fun to follow along….
Thanks Jim. I wish I could see you again. 😁
Happy to see you are back on this trail! And starting with long daily hikes! It's a really beautiful country, lots of friendly horses and cute cows. The weather seems to be the only incertain thing, I hope you did not have too many rainy days and not too cold. Thank you for sharing your adventures! Now I jump to the next video that you just uploaded-)
It rained a pretty good bit but that’s why everything is so green. 😁
Funny how now matter what size of a village, it always has a pub. I noticed the same traveling across Ireland in a car. Always great pub food there (esp the daily meal offer that varies each day and comes with several courses).
Instead of losing weight on my Thruhike, I actually gained weight. 😳😂
@@TheHikingRev 😀 Well, at least you go to enjoy both the views and good food!
Another inspirational video. Good to see you experience our Irish weather some days when hiking I feel I spend more time.taking.my.waterproofs on and off.as.I do.walking. Enjoy.
Thanks, Paul. It’s why everything is so green.😁
Welcome back to Ireland, Great that you are back on the trail after last year
Thanks John. It’s great to be back.😁
Thanks. That video brought back memories of hiking the Kerry Way in May.
You’re quite welcome. The Kerry Way is on my bucket list. 😁
So nicely filmed and edited man, stunning work! 🥾🥾
Thank you. You’re very kind. 😁
Great! Keep on keeping on.
Thank you Roland. I will. 😁
Woohoo back in Ireland! That was a lot of miles for day one, but great you can pitch your tent just behind the tavern. 😊
Thanks Reba. Yep…I’m baaaack! 😁
Good to see you back at it! Lovely video.
Thanks, Charles.😁
Awesome!!👍🇨🇦😎
Thanks Marian. I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😁
great video.
Thanks.😁
❤
👍
I had a good laugh over the watermelon flavoured coffee. Is possible to do this hike without sleeping outside? Very nice to see you on the move again in Ireland.
Thanks Doug. Yes, there are many BnB’s you can stay in. 😁
That was Guinness for breakfast. 😅
😂😂😂
😂
Hi Rev, good to see you back on the trail. I´ve noticed that you changed gear (tent). Is that because of the Irish climate? Looking forward to the next episode. Cheers, Henk
Thanks Henk. I’d heard lot of good things about the Durston X-Mid Pro 1 tent so I thought I would try it out. I was satisfied with my Zpacks Plex Solo tent but I think I like the Durston tent better. 😁
So when you camp in back of a pub, where do you um... go to the toilet? Looks like a lovely walk!
Hey Karen. They left the door to the toilet open for me. 😁
