I don't know how many hundred times I played this back in the days. Anyway, it stands out as one of the best club tracks ever, with its Chic influences and a flawless Jam/Lewis production.
You ain't alone. Bought this BEFORE this cut was playing on the radio. It seems that the label didn't decide to push this cut until AFTER airplay requests started going up.
This should be Deborah Cooper singing in this track, this entire group is absolutely amazing and still sound as good today in 2023 as it did back in 1984
I never knew that Jimmy and Terry had any collaboration with change but you can hear it all over this and others on this album it's so good to the last drop! thanx Change!
rewind to 1984 the brilliant underated soul funk band one of favorites Change this is one there best tracks back in thw day they had the legendary Luther Vandross on vocals
Sell your records, the family say. You don’t play them any more. Then I hear a jam like this and I decide I’m gonna be buried with all that vinyl. This album and windjammer never left my turntable back in the day and boy did we know how to value music cos I still got both albums today!
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis 80s and beyond legendary music producers They deserve recognition for their contribution with all the artists they collaborated they took them to another level They should be acknowledged and inducted all Hall of fame especially the Rock n Roll hall of fame with them the 80s wouldn't be the same with out them respect long overdue peace
Este também tocou muito.Bons tempos . Não existia celular e Facebook. Hoje tem a merda do funk carioca.Foi o tempo do SCORPIUS ITAIM PAULISTA e da TOCO VILA MATILDE. Deixe o seu comentário. Forte abraço
This is really the only song I like by Change while Deborah Cooper was singing lead. I love the early stages of Change. Like the songs Paradise, Hold Tight and Miracles etc. They sounded more like SOS Band around this time
Grande balanço que agitou a galera . Saudades do SCORPIUS ITAIM PAULISTA e da TOCO VILA MATILDE. Não Existia celular e Facebook. Saudades. Edvaldo Oliveira ZL DE SÃO Paulo.
I you like this, try Ice Cube's How to Survive in South Central..... He's taken the bass and quadrupled it, and done some great things with the backing vocals too
Almost 40 years and I still LOVE Change!!!!!😘
This is not disco this is pure funk
From Italy

Haven't heard this one in decades. Classic big time. NYC Nostalgic.
Back when everything Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis touched was golden. One of the best albums that nobody's ever heard....
+Drew Fisher can't be nobody as you've heard it, no?
+Gat Decor I am the one and only . . . nobody.
You ain't alone. Bought this BEFORE this cut was playing on the radio. It seems that the label didn't decide to push this cut until AFTER airplay requests started going up.
Can confirm.
Wow I didn't know that they were on production here. Those 2 r musical geniuses. So happy they received BET's legends award. 💯🔥
This should be Deborah Cooper singing in this track, this entire group is absolutely amazing and still sound as good today in 2023 as it did back in 1984

have heard this one sampled in a recent track - anyone has any idea??
3:30 I'm taking back all the love I gave to you Baby!!!!
Sounds suspiciously like "My forbidden lover". But Change owed their "trademark" sound to following Chic's example, quite literally at times.
