Hi first of all thank you. You did a good job at explaining the personal project which really did help me. However, I wanted to ask one question about the success criteria, can you please explain the steps to create this chart and how do I create a high quality chart. Please answer.
The success criteria sheet is essentially like a marking rubric you'd use for any other subject. Pick 4-5 aspects of your project you'd like to self assess (ie. Organization, Design, Global Context) and create a series of mark bands for them (ie. what do you need to do to achieve a level 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8?). Have a look at some of the rubrics your teachers have used to assess you in the past, they can be quite helpful!

I have a question, can the PP product be some sort of plan (for example: I want to make a Tour guide plan for my country, to increase tourism and so people around the world would know more about our culture/ I could make school system plan, (basically like a detailed business plan)) So basically this 'plan' would most likely be in a document format with sketches and 3d models, because i obviously would not be able to create the actual tour guide/school
That sounds like a great product :) I don't see why you couldn't make a plan/guide! Just run it by your supervisor first to make sure everything is ok before you begin.

Woahhh that sounds super interesting! I think it depends on what type of business/what the theme of your business is. That should give you a better picture as to what global context you should choose.
How many appendices should I include? Do you have an example of some appendices that are not regularly used because I’m looking for some original ones and I can’t seem to find any.
A really good one that I had in mine was a global context iceberg! Sounds a little strange but essentially, I found a picture online of an iceberg where you can see the top bit poking out and then the major part of the iceberg below water and brainstormed around it. Think about how your global context may link to your topic explicitly and write that around the top and then think of some implicit links and jot those down around the bottom!

Hi I have a question in regards to connecting your project to a subject. Is it mandatory to find a link between what I want to create and a subject? Because my project would mainly focus on sewing and doing this using recycled materials. I am not sure how I would explain how I found the interest through a subject when not much learned in class connects to this. Thanks!
It doesn’t need to be strictly connected to a subject but rather have aspects of many different ones. For example, a couple people made sculptures in my cohort and linked it to things they learnt in the visual arts. If you’re struggling to link your product to a subject then try looking at a specific part of your product rather than it as a whole, it might make it a little easier. Hope this helps!
So the answer is both yes and no😂😂 Your supervisor should be the one marking your project but a random sample of student from your year will be selected for IB moderation. Approximately 10 students will be selected for moderation and the IB will just kinda make sure the marking is accurate. Based on the marking of those students, they’ll decide how the marks should change for the entire year (ie. everyone up by 2/1 or down by 2/1 etc.). I know, it isn’t fair but unfortunately, that’s how it works😢. Hope I answered your question!

One thing mate, in criteria B, you’re asked to present a plan and record of your project. Doesn’t that mean I should mention the process of the planning. Such as if I were to make a shirt, I would mention “for my design I dye the shirt yellow” or something along those lines
I see what you mean, they kinda want you to explain the general design process rather than the specific design process if that makes sense😂😂. What I mean by this is that rather than talking about the actual design of “the shirt”, talk about how you came up the design (ie. I created a design specifications chart to help plan the design process). For me personally, I made a design specifications chart and added it as an appendix at the end and talked about how it helped me better design my product (all the lovely myp jargon). Hopefully this makes sense and answers your question! If you have any other queries I’d be more than happy to answer them😉🔥
