Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. Their appearance as a common plant was in the mid-Cretaceous period. There are 12,000 species now. [1] A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color green. That is because they are wind-pollinated rather than insect-pollinated, so they do not have to attract insects. Green is the best colour for photosynthesis. Grasslands such as savannah and prairie where grasses are dominant cover 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, except Greenland and Antarctica.[2] Grasses are monocotyledon herbaceous plants. They include the "grass" of the family Poaceae, which are called grass by ordinary people. This family is also called the Gramineae, and includes some of the sedges (Cyperaceae) and the rushes (Juncaceae).[3] These three families are not very closely related, though all of them belong to clades in the order Poales. They are similar adaptations to a similar life-style. With around 780 genera and around 12,000 species,[1] the Poaceae is the fifth-largest plant family, after the Asteraceae, Orchidaceae, Fabaceae and Rubiaceae.[4] The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland. Uses for graminoids include food (as grain, sprouted grain, shoots or rhizomes), drink (beer, whisky), pasture for livestock, thatching thatch, paper, fuel, clothing, insulation, construction, sports turf, basket weaving and many others. Many grasses are short, but some grasses can grow tall, such as bamboo. Plants from the grass family can grow in many places and make grasslands, including areas which are very arid or cold. There are several other plants that look similar to grass and are referred to as such, but are not members of the grass family. These plants include rushes, reeds, papyrus and water chestnut. Seagrass is a monocot in the order Alismatales. Grasses are an important food for many animals, such as deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows.[5] This is a part of why the plants are successful. Recently ive heard a sad story that current zelda lore, thanks to tears of the kingdom, has gone completely off the rails and that elden ring is gaining people. Zelda refugees it seems.
Next time Harman makes a video about Elden Ring, I wouldn't be surprised he slanders it because he thinks Jaw of the Dragon has more detailed and better lore than ER.
Hell Nah, now in 2024 after the dlc expansion. It feels like a sequel. So many bosses (you can argue its MONUMENTAL difficulty. I think the pace can be fun. I summon so it feels like a Raid boss, although in my 2nd fresh save, trying not to.) Tears and Botw ARE good games, for zelda games they’re absolutely a massive ramp up. But a Puzzle game with some combat in comparison to a hefty lore, fun weapons skills, deep combat, easy to understand and fun RPG elements (MOST of the time), and more than just a few memorable characters HAS to elevate Elden Ring. For me at least. Metacritic gave ER a 97, Hard agree, aside from like 3 bosses (2 of which are optional) who kinda suck to fight imo. The game is ABSOLUTELY a masterpiece.
This is like the guy who argued EVERY GAME needs a custom character creator in regards to titanfall 2 pvp gameplay. Missing the point that the simplicity of the visuals is a major reason we like titanfall 2 and not Apex.
Just gonna say that Ubisoft was a fair comparison for Breath of the Wild. It was very Ubisofty, same with plenty of other open world games that are well loved. The Ubisoft formula for open world games has been massively profitable while also getting stale. I remember the time when most FPS games were compared to Doom and just called Doom clones. Success gets copied. Bartholomew cannot seem to comprehend that. BOTW may have had some derivative elements, but did enough of its own thing to be so successful.
TOTK dungeons are a far cry from what they were previously I mean by puzzle based, spirit temple was fun but all the other 4 were just bland to me, activate 5 gongs/vents/etc to open boss door, bosses were great tho, especially colgera fire music too.
It’s funny because honestly I personally love BOTH of these games. They’re both fun and sometimes challenging in their own unique ways. Like as much as enemies scare me sometimes in Elden Ring, NOTHING compares to that signature guardian piano intro man. The first time I heard that theme I was SPOOKED. 😭
I thought BotW was a 7/10 at best, but TotK improved so much on it. It's genuinely great game, but I'd knock off a little bit over performance issues. That said, Elden Ring is also great. Why compare them? They're very different games, so who cares? Side note: I started playing BotW again on my Steam Deck with the unbreakable weapons cheat turned on. That makes the game more fun, but BotW still isn't really enjoyable enough for me to pick it up often.
As a long time Zelda player I also dropped BotW within a few hours. I indeed found it so boring that I wouldn't even be able to score it in the first place. But many people obviously really like the changes of direction and the mechanics that annoyed me. Not every game is for everyone. Thats just the way it is.
@@AliothAncalagonI would’ve liked botw and totk more, if it wasn’t for the degrading system. In most games with a degrading system, the weapons degrade slowly and you are able to fix them. The two games would be mutch better if weapons broke slower and if you were able to fix them
Well the trick to that is that they’re not at all as separate as this dude pretends. Dark souls’ biggest point of inspiration was the original Zelda. Elden ring was hugely inspired by breath of the wild. Their inherent qualities mean you should probably love both
not going to lie, playing a Zelda game where the Hylian Shield or Master Sword/equivalent have durability feels wrong. The Master Sword should only have the gimmick where it shoots a blade beam at max hp and the Hylian Shield should be indestructible because it's made of some mythical dragon scales or something. LoZ should just focus on making cool dungeon puzzles and stuff, the weapon swapping and durability is just dumb.
I am still glad that Nintendo and Rare are still in sync even after all these years. You can see the amount of influence on the direction and mechanics in games from both sides.
Ok I didn't think it was gonna be as bad as it was, I checked out the guys channel......he releases like 3-5 videos that are between 3-12 mins EVERY DAY. Even after a full year since this video I think I saw him mention elden ring like 35 times in the last 14 days. He also continues to try and say that X game (which hasn't come out yet and we've only seen trailers) is going to be better than Y game (which hasn't come out yet and we've only gotten to see trailers). Also WOW does he fit the stereotype of every bad thing people think of gamers. You know how I said most of his videos were 3-11 mins? How about his vids on anime type stuff? 2-9 hours and I'm literally not kidding. I only went back 2 weeks genuinely. Harman's rant about Elden Ring and Sony might be to do with the fact that Sony own a fairly large piece of FromSoftware AND a small piece of FromSoftware's parent company.

This dude is nuts. Zelda is way worse than elden ring and here's why. Elden ring took what sould games are and added the open world on top. Zelda took what makes zelda games. threw it to the trash, took the basic concepts of open world and added a zelda skin on top.
21:31 Hyrule Warriors actually came out in 2014 initially. The first one, at least. (I actually just bought Definitive Edition because that's starting to jump up in price.)
The wildest part is zelda and soulslikes arent even competing for the same audiences or experiences, this is like bitching about a barbie game when all you play is F1, minecraft has sold more copies than pretty much every other video game but youd be an idiot to compare it to anything but a game like terraria, this guys acting like elden ring is trying to kill the zelda franchise 😂
This man wants a monopoly on gaming lmao not to mention Miyazaki literally said breath of the wild inspired elden ring that’s what art and good games do they give other talented people ideas to bring to their game
Even though they said they had no future plans for DLC, I know they do because they have to make a third gesture to complete the pattern. They cant leave it at two.
The thing is Nintendo’s attitude towards other developers is a double edged sword. They can be super original because they don’t concentrate on what others are doing, but also taking a bit of influence from other games might help with some basic gameplay loops that have been perfected and dont need re-inventing.

Grass is a type of plant with narrow leaves growing from the base. Their appearance as a common plant was in the mid-Cretaceous period. There are 12,000 species now. [1]
A common kind of grass is used to cover the ground in places such as lawns and parks. Grass is usually the color green. That is because they are wind-pollinated rather than insect-pollinated, so they do not have to attract insects. Green is the best colour for photosynthesis.
Grasslands such as savannah and prairie where grasses are dominant cover 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, except Greenland and Antarctica.[2]
Grasses are monocotyledon herbaceous plants.
With around 780 genera and around 12,000 species,[1] the Poaceae is the fifth-largest plant family, after the Asteraceae, Orchidaceae, Fabaceae and Rubiaceae.[4]
The true grasses include cereals, bamboo and the grasses of lawns (turf) and grassland.
Without grass, soil may wash away into rivers (erosion).

Recently ive heard a sad story that current zelda lore, thanks to tears of the kingdom, has gone completely off the rails and that elden ring is gaining people. Zelda refugees it seems.
Just found this video after it’s been out over a year and it’s even funnier than it would have been when it came out lol
Great mouse detective was brilliant, I remember Joe!
Same I loved that movie and it got me into Sherlock Holmes
Next time Harman makes a video about Elden Ring, I wouldn't be surprised he slanders it because he thinks Jaw of the Dragon has more detailed and better lore than ER.
Hell Nah, now in 2024 after the dlc expansion.
It feels like a sequel.
So many bosses (you can argue its MONUMENTAL difficulty. I think the pace can be fun. I summon so it feels like a Raid boss, although in my 2nd fresh save, trying not to.)
Tears and Botw ARE good games, for zelda games they’re absolutely a massive ramp up.
Zelda is the reason I got into demons souls back when I was 13 lol
Bro needs the elden lord of therapists lmao
The Great Mouse Detective is awesome, watched it a lot as a kid.

Big ups the Great mouse detective, one of two movies that started the Disney Renaissance.
Elden Ring vs TOTK isn't a competition. Just play both, like I do.
I’m a Zelda fan boy who loves Elden Ring
Am I the only one whose never seen anyone talk about Zelda in relation to Elden Ring other than this guy? As far as I can tell no one cares.
I am still glad that Nintendo and Rare are still in sync even after all these years. You can see the amount of influence on the direction and mechanics in games from both sides.

I love watching your videos!!! Keep up the great work!

I played 30 minutes of Zelda and went back to play ER. I like the Zelda games but I didn’t give me the same feeling of success that ER does
I like zelda, I like Elden Ring. They are 2 different games, that does 2 different things, not sure why one game doing well hurts their identity so much
The Great Mouse Detective is one of my favorites as well. There's also the rescuers, The Rescuers Down Under and An American Tail
Gonna be honest harman i got 70 hours in botw and I never wanted to go back, it’s pretty boring imo, glad totk fixed it
I did almost everything worth doing in it(I haven't finished the DLC) and I'm struggling to get back into it. TotK is great, though. Fixed almost all of the problems I had with the first game.
@@TheAbsol7448 The Master Sword Trials is really the only interesting part of BoTW outside of the 6 story based areas: The Great Plateau, Zora's Domain, Gerudo Town, Death Mountain, Rito Village, and Hyrule Castle.
Why exactly would Zelda fans be mad about Elden Ring? Like, does the existence of Elden Ring somehow prevent Zelda from existing?
There were some games that got labeled Zelda copies that were not that and were amazing in their own right such as Dark Cloud. What he was sayin the industry conspired against Zelda they were actually conspiring for it
3:10 Harman Smith just outed himself as a fake Zelda fan. If you knew anything about the OLD Zelda games it was about 3 things:
1) Combat
2) Puzzle Solving
3) Useless and sometimes useful NPC sidequest of varying races.
Harman's rant about Elden Ring and Sony might be to do with the fact that Sony own a fairly large piece of FromSoftware AND a small piece of FromSoftware's parent company.
My fav game of all time is a zelda game (albeit an old one), but elden ring and its dlc is some of the most fun ive had gaming in YEARS.
Yeah, Majora’s Mask tops the list for me, but Elden Ring is right up there especially with SOTE.
Im absolutely convinced that guy is just doing it for kicks and views.
The only reason I dont play fromsoft games is because of the difficulty. I just dont enjoy that kinda thing. Might try elden ring since im a massive fan of open world games. It's why origins is my favorite game to play.
Bro is so cooked I have literally never heard or seen Elden ring be compared to Zelda
Bro thinks he's Igon and fromsoft is Bayle
This dude is nuts. Zelda is way worse than elden ring and here's why.
Elden ring took what sould games are and added the open world on top. Zelda took what makes zelda games. threw it to the trash, took the basic concepts of open world and added a zelda skin on top.
Guy is so far off. Devs from other companies were passed and attacking Elden Ring but gamers loved it.

Lmaooooo coming here after Shadow of the Erdtree dropped, sizewise that shit was a whole ass sequal of a game.
17:58 man just forgot gmod existed
Wait, was someone else talking in the video? I wasn't paying attention
It's a REALLY special talent to be able to compare games that are completely different genres and share almost nothing with each other.
Funny how this guy took the whole "Console wars" thing to heart I personally took it as a marketing scheme that small brain people fell for people have a dominant console that they own more games on sometimes
It was funny reading a commentor on an article complain by saying "1000 planets and only 10% of them are populated. So we are only getting 99planets of population". Made me laugh and question the coming generations after us...

If emulating BotW removes the motion controls I may actually try it to give it a fair shake. Elden Ring was the third open world game I really took to, the first being Witcher 3 up until that I stuck to shooters and DMC. BotW looked interesting enough but those motion controls made a Switch purchase a hard no for me
You can actually disable motion controls in the menu, but I'd recommend checking it out. I found gyro aim to be incredibly useful, to the point where I can't play games without it. So much that I went through the effort to figure out how to get native gyro set up in Cemu.
