My First Impressions of Enscape for SketchUp

- Over the past years i have used a ton of rendering software like VRay, Lumion, Octane, but i kept coming back to VRay. All of that changed when i discovered Enscape.
Enscape is a Rendering Software Plugin that works with a lot of architectural software like SketchUp, Revit, Archicad, Etc. It has a very simple interface which lets beginner renderers achieve amazing renders with minimal settings tweak.

cool bro. i am also a vray fanboy but when i also discovered enscape, it's like magic. u can save a lot of time and effort. one of the things i like about it is u can make a stand alone file or something which can be viewed by others who don't have an enscape app.

Enscape is very easy to learn, real time rendering, and has the best workflow with Sketchup. I also like its VR capabilities. For me the main disadvantage is that artificial lighting is lacking a bit, and reflections aren't always accurate. Also I would have liked a material library.

My favorite part of Enscape is there is now no back and forth between software programs. No exporting again and again to only change one thing. Also, it really helps to find your own high quality/high poly models, which really helps your render quality.

I use enscape to render walkthroughs that blows clients away. good stuff and way lighter than vray

What a good video, well timed as I was thinking about using Enscape - shame there seem to be compat issues with SU 2020 though. Entertaining stuff you did too, made me chuckle a few times! 👍

You press k for the video and you pick points, the downside is that you’ve to hide the camera 🎥 so that it won’t show on your video. Also can manipulate the model or any surroundings even in video mode.

hello..what an amazing review...In whole aspects (fast render, quality), do you prefer render with lumion or enscape? And I'm interesting with your big display monitor. Is it 4k monitor.. Hello! I am transitioning from school into the workforce and have a powerful laptop but would like to switch over to my desktop for several reasons. What kind of upgrades would be best for a Revit/Sketchup with Enscape workflow? Would I benefit from more ram and more cores on the cpu (chonky ryzen chip?)

before Vray, before Brazil, there was.... Lightscape! this was when radiosity was still a light illuminance tool app. Anyway, I've used them all and the most important thing in work turnover is speed. I deployed Enscape to my sixteen staff who all used Vray and 3DS Max, it's been a year, they never went back, they also get to sleep now lol.
I'd like to see how lights are added and how they perform.

Use your window of escape to render walktrough. Capture an area and move to another point.

Can you link the setuper channel, soft and track, so you don't have to color and rena 3 tis ? Btw aweso video!
The BAD thing in Enscape is that the textures from SU or Rhino aren't appearing or they do but over scaled without a setting to change scale manually.
Does it feature some ambient lighting?
