- Dabi will always be my favorite character and I've always wanted to make a character amv/asmv that would do him justice. It's been driving me nuts that I haven't been able to due to his limited screen time in the My Hero Academia anime, but I finally decided that I had enough footage to work with. I hope my passion for this character shines through.
Dabi (荼毘だび Dabi), real name Touya Todoroki (轟とどろき燈とう矢や Todoroki Tōya), is a major supporting antagonist in the series. He is the son of Endeavor and brother of Shoto Todoroki. He is a villain affiliated with the League of Villains, and formerly a member of the organization's Vanguard Action Squad. He and the rest of his team serve as the primary antagonists of the Forest Training Camp Arc. He also serves as an antagonist for the Pro Hero Arc.
He later became one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front, an organization formed from the remnants of the League and the Meta Liberation Army.
Dabi currently serves as a commander for the "Vanguard Action Guerilla Warfare Regiment: Violet".

“The Past Never Dies!” 🔥
No character epitomises the meaning of this series more than Dabi. No time wasted crying over his abuse and backstory, no trying to justify his actions with backwards and twisted logic, no bullshit redemption arcs. Dabi is an unapologetic symbol of all of society’s failings and just wants to burn down the MHA world that tries to paint over the cracks and feign peace and justice to keep the people content. A side character who captivated the audience and managed to singlehandedly challenge the foundation of society itself, all with tears of blood and an unashamed grin.
So you can think this character is okay and justified but overhaul was a crazy self thinking only narcissist??? Lol

He’s an unapologetic lunatic. Where have I said his actions are justified or good? All I said is that he’s an amazing character who perfectly symbolises the flaws of MHA’s society- not that I agree with what he does. I say similar things about Overhaul as well. You can love a character for their character and how they serve the plot without agreeing with or justifying their actions. Dabi is a great character but a pretty shit person, just as I’ve always said that Overhaul is a great character but a shit person.
You can’t compare me to Overhaul stans who defend the fact he psychologically and physically tortured a little girl and used and abused everyone around him to get what he wanted for his own selfish gain and then try and paint him out as a good person with good intentions. Unlike them, I’m not delusional. Dabi is a piece of shit, but his character is well-developed and perfectly fits into this story. You find me where I’ve said that it’s okay for him to go round burning people to ashes, then we’ll talk…
@@Kaiser_MHA Dabi is okay at best he’s just a piece of shit he’s cool and all but he’s not really a good example of someone who was failed by the system because there’s better characters who show that like tomura who are more broken and have a human part of them unlike dabi he simply dosent care about anyone but himself he got twice killed and to prove a point. But to the topic of overhaul he’s not a shit person he’s just not a good one he has good intentions and to carry out dreams you gotta sacrifice and Eri being a abused is a worthy sacrifice for the rest of the world he wanted to get rid of quirks around the world taking away quirks would fix air of the problems in the mha society so if you want to be realistic one girl that’s not even dying to save the world from more crime and more death is very much worth it. For you too to say he’s selfish is literally the complete opposite of the character he does everything he does for the boss and the yakuza and alongside to eradicate quirks which would in return do the world a favor.

Shigaraki being a pawn of All For One massively diminishes his character for me and has ruined the build-up. Dabi is really the only character acting of his own twisted will. Everyone else is just a pawn at this point and I don’t like All For One for how bland and boring his character is.
As for Overhaul…
The dude put the boss in a coma because he wouldn’t agree with his plan of abusing his granddaughter. He destroyed the yakuza by turning it into a common villain group, thus shitting all over the organisation’s ideals because he doesn’t actually care about the yakuza itself, it’s just a means to an end. Every relationship he has with other people is based on manipulation and abuse. He sacrifices his underlings without a care in the world, kills them happily, takes advantage of their feelings and insecurities, tortures a little girl, and mocks the people he hurts. He says he wants to eradicate all quirks but he only comes out with that when he’s angry. His actual goal was the selling of quirk-destroying bullets and quirk-restoring serum for the sake of money and power. He never once said anything about wanting to help people or even implied that he had good intentions at all. He never even tried to pretend to be a good person. He’s a textbook narcissist.
I’ve done a whole video analysing Overhaul and his abusive behaviour. I will never agree or understand those trying to argue that he had good intentions when he quite clearly didn’t. He didn’t want to get rid of quirks to help the world- he never mentioned helping the world- he wanted to get rid of them because he saw quirks as a sickness and he hated people going around believing they could be more. It was his own selfish feelings towards quirks and his own ambitions. Hearing people trying to describe someone who psychologically and physically tortured a little girl just to earn some money as someone with good intentions leaves me not knowing if I should laugh at how absurd it is or cry out of concern. But it’s fiction so you can think whatever you want and that’s fine 😊
But you called Dabi ‘a piece of shit’ but then said that Overhaul ‘isn’t a shit person’. I cannot understand the disconnect in your thinking. If Dabi is ‘a piece of shit’ by your standards then how the hell is Overhaul not? He’s a scumbag. Dabi fans know that he’s a psycho but simply like his character. Overhaul fans are really out here defending and justifying child abuse like it’s no big deal. You literally said that Eri being tortured was ‘worth it’. It’s a seven-year-old girl, dude. Maybe give your morals a wobble- I think they’re not quite in the right place 😅
@@Kaiser_MHA because just like the rest of the people in the show you can see the bigger picture one girl being temporarily abused is one small sacrifice to cure the world of quirks completely and regardless of what you think is right and he only cares abt money then it does good no matter what but he wanted to eliminate quirks and see the yakuza return to form and doing that means you need to take risks and shed off the old ways of doing things because they clearly weren’t working for them but your point of he only screams abt fixing the world when he’s angry is all the more the supporting my point peoples true colors come out when they are tested and when there are emotional since for him his emotional response is anger and within it shows that he hates quirks and also said he wanted to fix the world/ break it both meaning the same thing of returning it back to its original way before quirks, additionally you continue you him being narcissist as point for his evilness but you would never understand a narcissist unless you were one or at least were close with one his intentions weren’t empathetic because empathy dosent work for certain situations, it’s possible for narcissists to have good intentions, along with that he’s not a typical text book definition narcissist he dosent think he’s the best person ever and is love with the idea of him self but he does know he’s the only person that can fix the world. Finally I agree I love tomura but I hate what there doing with him also dabi is just one dimensional and a prick nothing he does is for anything good or redeemable he’s like all for one but at least dabi has a good backstory a good design and nice relatable scenes about trauma from the past, besides that he’s just asshole and nothing more
The Fact that Shoto Always Hated Endeavour but Toya never hated his father he Always tried to prove to his father that he can do it even after he was totally Abandoned by him Till the Day Dabi was Born 🔵🔥

Dabi is the true hero of the story
I always wondered why I like the villains more, and I think it might be because when they get on the floor
Down on their knees for her and only her, something in me stirs.
A hero would sacrifice her to save the world, showing he was indeed pure hearted and honest.
But a Villain would tear the world apart if she was hurt, that is a promise.
They seem selfish, manipulative, and rude to everyone around.
But he treats her like a queen, his only his, sitting on a throne with her crown.
I think villains are misjudged and that most of the time we don’t get to see their story.
For if we knew the hero may not seem so full of glory.
Monsters are made not born, and any soul tortured, confused, and abused incidentally would not have time to mourn.
So next time I defend the Villain of the tale.
Remember that they too, were once broken and frail.

I dont blame him for becoming a villain, it might not have been entirely the right path but atleast he did it justifiably just like all the other villians in the league they were all missunderstood, abu$ed or bullied some of them have mental conditions like twice others have trauma like shigiraki or they werent accepted for who they are in society like magne they all became villians for a reason they all dealt with pain, so instead of just putting up with it they channeled their pain into something else, a fuel,

Yes but he didn’t specifically hunt down Ingenium if I remember right. I think Ingenium caught him in an alley and tried to arrest him from what’s shown to us, hence why Stain injured him rather than killed him, because Ingenium wasn’t his actual target.

Hey!
They haven’t actually fought in the series yet. For this video I took scenes from the anime and I edited them to make it appear as though the two were fighting. The quote ‘the past never dies’ is a quote from the manga that hasn’t been animated so I just used a different voice line for it. Hope that clears it up 😅

Endeavor failed as a father for ruining Toya’s life abusing his youngest son and wife for what being a number one hero its ridiculous he caused this and all might doesn’t have a family he never had the chance to settle down endeavor had the chance but he ruined it for a sick obsession and it caused so much pain i don’t feel bad for him he doesn’t deserve to be a hero or be number one he’s a full time zero it’s not the kids fault it’s not their job their young it’s the parents job his wife tried and he just gave up he filled poor Toya’s head with dreams to surpass all might and look what happened it came back to bite him dabi exposed him for being an ego maniac who wants loved by everyone.😡😠
