Thats terrific. I worked with a blind student - ableton is constantly working on accesibility features for the impaired which is very nice 👏

Great video! I didn’t understand the definition of formant “the lowest loudest frequency”, would you mind explaining that to me?. Thank you!

If you look at his spectrum analyser, just look at the frequency which has the highest value in the low end, because this usually determines the main frequency of the played note

Ohhh, thank you very much. After looking at it a few days later it makes more sense. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it.

what if I have an old project file and I froze the track with the midi with chords and I cant unfreeze it due to no longer having plug in since I switched from WIN TO MAC and I cant remember key.

I would put a spectrum on the master and solo it. That should tell you what you need to know

Some decent and helpful info in this video, however not entirely accurate. The lowest and loudest frequency is not called the "formant" its called the "fundamental frequency". Formants are something different altogether.

The lowest and loudest frequency is A formant and is the fundemental frequency correct

@@lowendcandy The fundamental frequency is the lowest and loudest frequency and I suppose is technically A formant. Although it's a bit odd in this context I think. "fundamental frequency" or even 1st harmonic is clearer in this context IMO.
