In your opinion what size outboard is best in both fuel efficiency and power for the 21’ seahawk?

I would definitely recommend a 200hp V6 or larger on a 21 Seahawk. You can go with as small as a 150hp, but it might be a bit underpowered. A 21 Seahawk is a very robust boat with a 1/4" bottom, putting too small of a motor on it would be similar to buying a 3/4 ton or 1 ton pickup and putting a small V8 in it. You will never regret putting on a V6. As far as fuel economy is concerned, the fuel economy difference is going to be negligible until you get towards the upper end of the RPM range on the V6. At 30mph with the same load, the 150hp won't get any better economy than a larger V6 4 stroke. It takes X amount of energy to move a boat at a specified MPH. Its possible that it may burn even more fuel as the 4 cylinder motor doesn't have as much torque to lift the bow up. The V6 will trim the boat more efficiently and reduce drag.

What size motor would you put on this 23’ running a 9.9 kicker?

Thank you. The North River boats are very impressive in both styling as well as fit and finish.
