I like the old transom set up better, you have room for your feet and can reach back much farther. Everything, batteries, wash down pump etc, still had plenty of room.

What is that black bag/cover thingy in the forward storage area for?

The black bag is for the side curtains and backdrop. When the boat is delivered from North River the removable canvas pieces are stored in the bag.
