My husband and I came to the same conclusion last year. We lived in Northern California for 3 years. We were engaged, married, and had our first baby there. It’s a very special place for us but the thought of raising our children there, away from family too, just didn’t sit right with us. It’s a very bittersweet to go through such a big life change. I wish you all a smooth transition and pray that it brings you even more happiness than expected!

Exactly! A lot of expensive clothing brands actually have a lot casual wear, so you can never really judge a persons income based on their clothes. And yes! Megha T I’ve heard people in LA are pretty shallow and selfish. They use people to further their career or other personal ambitions. The city is obviously heavily influenced by fame as well. I think that’s why it’s difficult making friends because you don’t know who to trust and some people might just be using you

As someone that’s lives 20 min outside of downtown la, i totally understand where you two are coming from. i’ve had friends move down to orange country (newport, laguna hills, san clemente, anaheim hills ) because it’s away from the city but still close enough. anything u two choose will be great and can’t wait to see what’s to come !

We’re very similar, we met, got married, live and work in LA and when we think long term about starting a family - we’re still undecided of where we want to be, whether it’s out of LA and still in California or otherwise. If you want to move out of LA, go to the Phoenix metropolitan area (Chandler, Mesa, and Scottsdale specifically). These are good areas, and not tooooooo far from LA for business (5 hours by car so... Like 1.5 hours my plane), and these in Phoenix (specifically Scottsdale) have really good schools.
I love that they probably have a lot of money, but at the same time they are soooo down to earth.. even in such little things like clothes.. they could easily wear gucci etc (not that it’s a bad thing, because it’s totally fine to wear expensive clothes) but they dont and it’s soooo ugh amazing. Love you guys

Being born and raised and going on to work (in media) in LA I love it so much. But in 2019 I also felt like it was time to get out of there and try something new (so I moved one state over for a job and love it so far) and totally understand that the pace and culture of the city, especially working in entertainment, isn’t what you’re looking for anymore. So excited you made that bold decision and looking forward to seeing you more fulfilled in a new city!

One thing I really love about you two is that you guys are so positive. Normally when people decide to leave LA they say something negative things. As a person born and raised in LA it gets annoying to hear sometimes. I love that you guys didn’t do that. I’m also glad you two are doing what is best for you. they have changed because the los Angeles living has really taken over there depression to the point where they had to take a break from vlogging or vlog in a way where they seem depressed and mentally drained/
Don’t know if you guys decided on where or if I missed out on that part on the vlog, but based on the lifestyle of being away and having a different environment, I think a pretty cool place would be Portland or even someplace in Arizona. Ultimately it’s where you both feel God leads, I just wanted to throw out some ideas 😁

I live in Florida and I love it. Just the humidity and mosquitoes are annoying but Gabe’s probably used to it
If you want to move out of LA, go to the Phoenix metropolitan area (Chandler, Mesa, and Scottsdale specifically). These are good areas, and not tooooooo far from LA for business (5 hours by car so... Like 1.5 hours my plane), and these in Phoenix (specifically Scottsdale) have really good schools.

I love that they probably have a lot of money, but at the same time they are soooo down to earth.. even in such little things like clothes.. they could easily wear gucci etc (not that it’s a bad thing, because it’s totally fine to wear expensive clothes) but they dont and it’s soooo ugh amazing. Being born and raised and going on to work (in media) in LA I love it so much. But in 2019 I also felt like it was time to get out of there and try something new (so I moved one state over for a job and love it so far) and totally understand that the pace and culture of the city, especially working in entertainment, isn’t what you’re looking for anymore. So excited you made that bold decision and looking forward to seeing you more fulfilled in a new city!
