Not that it's not interesting, but I wouldn't necessarily plan stuff like that on my own. Maybe it's not about the money, people get enjoyment from different things :) For me the simple stuff is the most fulfilling, maybe it's the same for her

Emma has taught me that it is perfectly fine spending an entire day or week just laying in bed doing absolutely nothing. It's something I didn't know I was allowed to do until she showed me that it's perfectly fine and healthy to do so. Also that you can enjoy life and love yourself without having a big fancy loud life with a million people around you. She really is someone that we all need it our life. Thanks Emma

I was talking about how she has taught myself and other about how being by yourself, doing nothing/stupid shit, and just laying in bed for even a small amount of time is essential to recharge and feel better. But I'm glad you decided to twist my comment that I was sharing to share how she helped me.
It’s impossible for normal people to do what she does. Jetting around the world without a care, just going where she pleases. It must be nice to be a multimillionaire at 20 and do whatever you want. I’m not hating at all, I like her videos, but it’s impossible to lay in bed for a week or do nothing etc when you have to work 50+ hours a week to pay bills.

@amysmyth Because we’re an island 😂 Island Time is a notion that people who live on islands (smaller places) have a laid back attitude towards time and everything in general (“down the road” can literally be any distance at all. “the other day” might have been three months ago- who knows but it’s not relevant to the story I’m telling 😂. “It’ll be grand” “Sure look!”). I only draw the comparison to Ireland coz she’s 50% Irish but she’s also Californian. I’d say big cities like LA are just too constantly stimulating and she probably needs a more chill environment but be able to access the fun of them all the same.

I like the way she travels. Yes , the tourist spots are nice diversion but just to exist in a new environment is also deeply satisfying. Well to me it seems.
Plus I would check out a whole foods or grocery store in a different city ,like why the fuck not? To me, it's another form of people watching and seeing what they are buying locally.

I love traveling to different cities and visiting grocery/local stores. Something so satisfying and calming about it
when i went to LA, i was thoroughly let down. the people were (generally) rude, everything felt fabricated, and it just was not at all what i imagined. i've been to most american cities and can thoroughly say it's one of my least favorites. i will never understand the obsession. i love boston though!

I lived in Southern California at several different parts in my life, and I actually quite enjoyed it. From what I understand about LA, what makes it so unbearable are the people. People tend to be extremely self-obsessed, narcissistic, superficial, fake, and thirsty to 'make it' - either in the entertainment industry, the business world, or whatever else. These people will do anything to get their foot in the door, which fosters a seedy underworld. People lose sense of their values and woman are very much objectified.
A lot of people who move to LA to start a career often say that it's fun and interesting for a year or two, but in time becomes emotionally draining. There are only so many parties to go to and women to run through before the excitement wears off.
LA and the State of California in general also has a massive problem with leadership and governance. Taxes are insane and there exist a huge problem with homelessness. Not to mention, the cost of living is astronomical. The divide between the rich and the poor is widening and the middle class is slowly eroding away.
Like I said, it's beautiful and there are tons of things to do. Beaches, nature, fantastic weather, entertainment out the wazoo...but it absolutely comes at a premium. Personally, I would much rather visit than live there.
Savannah Georgia is my favorite city.

She’s recently completely changed her aesthetic to a lot more relaxed and chilled and she seems pretty set on it, I think that’s why she films herself doing mundane things and not “living the life” cause it fits the vibe. It wouldn’t make sense if she was super upbeat and hyper and I think she’s quite aware of that.

One of the many things I love about your videos is how you capture your adventures. You seem so filled with wonderment and appreciation for being where you are, taking in each moment fully present, feeling free. The way you capture your experiences reminds me of my early 20’s. I moved to from a smaller city to the Bay Area, and each day I lived there it was such a visceral experience, for better or worse. There were moments I felt so free and felt so much it was overwhelmingly self-indulgent. I felt like I was living in a poem or a painting or a song; everything could be romantic and every experience could be serendipitous.
As time passed, I grew out of that reality, and I had moments when it was really difficult for me to accept, that this moment in my life was fading away, and I could no longer live my life with such freedom and wonderment.
When I watch your videos, especially your travel ones, you capture the true and real feelings I also had when I felt the most free and romanced life. Your experiences remind me that it was a beautiful time in my life, and I am thankful I had them. And I am so happy you are having them; keep cherishing each moment, this is a very special time in your life. 💕

So you have a 4 million dollar house in LA, sell that house you are so young!
Buy a Condo in LA for 2 million still get that young feeling of living in an apartment/condo penthouse whatever the case is
Then buy a 2 million dollar apartment in NYC, so you live in each location for as long as you want.
You travel so much to Europe being in NYC part time may be great for you so you can just hop on a flight and be 5 hours away from London
At the end of the day you are a fashion influencer, so having that extra NYC apartment will give you extra space for clothes, stylists to come and for brands to send you PR and clothes. Lol I hope you read this!

I think this is a great idea. Even if she doesn't buy an apartment in NY, ditch that 4 mill house in LA, however, it will only increase in value as she gets older and if she has the cash I now say keep it. Lease a place in NY for awhile then buy. 2 mill in NY would get her a cracker box, but a really nice one. But overall, I love the idea of having two locations. West and East. And for young people, yes, she is an influencer for sure. If I were younger I would take a lot of her advise. xoxo

emma, about being conscious when you travel and autopilot at home, it is linked to the idea that humans live in autopilot mode, or ego mode, when and because our egos deny death completely. We deny that we are gonna die and life will in fact end at a random moment all the time. Its even kind of taboo to talk about death. When you accept death is going to happen you can live life more fully, conscious.
Back to the point, we live more conscious when we travel because we are fully aware and accept that it will end, if a person can accept that there will be an ending, then he/she can take seriously making their time value (living more consciously), doing what you really want
I love how free-spirited you are Emma! Definitely an inspiration to me because I wanna try more travel things that might help get me out of my comfort zone.

Kinda reminds me of Jenny Mollen. Like unapologetically rich and unrelateable. Thinking about financially maintaining a house in LA you hate while jet setting for weeks in luxury hotels, it’s so gluttonous. I love it. I can’t even afford my studio apts rent so I’m trying to jump on the train of living through celebrities. With each view we live less so they can live more, sponsored by ads. I’m glad I’m older cuz if I were young this would have made me mad about the wasted resources, or pissed about labor wages and poverty. But why cry over something that will never change. I’m just glad to see someone doing whatever they want whenever they want. At least somebody gets to. All hail the 1%!!!

I love that you went to Boston. The first time I went there I knew it was going to be my home one day.
