Dude just a question is there two versions of this 470 series thinkpad? I tried one where i had to get rid of it sell it again due to having no build in graphics in the cpu intel graphics 530 because i could not install Geforce Now app on windows i am thinking of getting a refurbished one due to me being a casual light stuff user
technically there are 3 versions. the T470, the T470s and the T470p
my T470 is still alive and kickin
currently has 16GB RAM (2x 8GB), would it have any significant boost (or would it matter) if I bump it to 32GB (2x 16GB) in the future?

Depend on your usage AFAIK , but a laptop that old probably don't need 32gb, unless maybe for gaming+multi tasking?
You might see some improvement but not a significant boost on a device that old

I use a combination of several things, a residue remover, glass cleaner, Lysol wipes, and medical sanitation wipes for good measure.
I have an assortment of scrubbers, spudgers, pics brushes and blades that I use to clean these devices
