This "first safe country rule" is part of the Dublin agreement between EU states.
As you know, UK wanted to leave the EU and as well the Dublin agreement.
According to UN conventions ITS totally legal to cross safe country and claim asylum in another country.
So, this is a consequence of Brexit, isn't it?

@@rollerrollerichson6258 there's nothing wrong with those doing so legally (provided the process is not handed out easily), the problem is criminals being rewarded for being criminals - going after everyone that's different is how we'd end up just as bad as the regimes we're against (how we treat the vulnerable, disabled etc is what differs us from our enemies).

It’s not hard to do. My parents did it. My father has a 3rd grade education and my mother never went to school cause she had to work the family farm.

We integrated into American culture without giving up our ethnic heritage. Not only Illegal Migration be Zero , the Government must stop giving Foreighn Students Taxpayers money for their Student Loans , if Foreign Students wish to study in the UK , their own Countries should fund them . There is £206 Billion in out standing loans 2023 , expected to rise to £460 Billion by the 2040's , Money that Working People can ill afford .

Illegal migration like any crime should theoretically be zero (ideally if all law was perfect) but there is the factor of money, time, expertise and will to deal with it. We don't have much of those things right now in this country and it's sad.
1 week to choose between stay or go for one person I could do this in 1 second so based on a 37 hour week I could quite easily assess 100K plus cases - Fire them and give me the job.

When British boat taxi service intercepts an illegal migrant boat before allowing them on board photograph the person steering the boat and when they board put this individual in handcuffs straight to prison for trafficking, no one else will steer next boat

Briton are rightfully concerned about immigration from Islamic Countries that come by boats across the Channel. Unfortunately, the real immigration threat comes from non-Islamic countries ( we all know who they are) and arrive by plane. A planeload is more than a boatload, and more planes come in to Britain than boats.
If they aren’t detained or deported, they aren’t disincentivised. Whilst they see our streets as paved with gold they will keep coming. Replace the carrot that is the current state of play with the stick of a zero tolerance deterrent. Anything less and we are peeing in the wind.
I'd say move them on to Ireland and lock the door after they leave; just like the French are doing.

If I was going to seek asylum in the third or fourth safe country ide travelled through, surely it would be upto me to produce evidence of victimisation, if I couldn't then ide expect to be sent right back because it's not the countries job to prove anything, it's upto the individual , and if they throw their paperwork away, and can't produce any documentation, they should also be sent straight back to where they've come from because only liars or people with something to hide, destroy their ID.

What is Reforms policy on the avoidance of UK taxes by very wealthy individuals using off shore banking and registration of companies in Tax havens to avoid UK Taxes, and costing the Treasury £Millions, Would they close these loopholes or be happy to let the practice continue as at present, I guess they won't like to talk publicly about this! 😊

This reminds of what happened in Canada during the 90s. A far right splinter group from Alberta (no surprise there) calling itself the Reform Party headed by Preston Manning captured Canadian hearts. Unfortunately they did not really make inroads against the Big Bad Liberals in other provinces. So they sold out their souls to our local Tories (the Conservatives) and operated on the basis that they were the Conservative Party of Canada. When they won the election years later they were no longer Reform, but the Conservatives. In the last national elections, it was difficult to tell the Conservatives from the Liberals. The same will happen to Britain's Reform Party. They will turn into right wing Tories then middle of the road political party.
