Having just installed this toilet for the first time I can confirm....
1) this instructional video is far more helpful than the paper instructions
2) it definitely takes more than one hour
3) don't overthink the measurements. There is plenty of play, it doesn't need to be milimetre perfect
This video is perfect and totally invaluable as the provided instructions are poor to useless.
I'm a plumber from Philippines from 1999 all fixtures of grohe and Kohler it's my experience and my expertise

At 08:23 he doesn't allow for the measure he is using. I guess there is enough tolerance? I marked precisely where the pipe extends past the toilet.
The manual also says add "3" which I assume is 3mm but the video says 5mm. With the tape measure that must be more like 7mm?
Shouldn’t a vapour barrier be added to the warm side of the insulation, in this case between the joists and floorboards to mitigate condensation forming on the cold side of the joists.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Is there a way to turn up the flow rate when the cistern refills? The cistern refills very slowly and takes about 15minutes before the toilet can be reused. It is also playing havoc with my pressurised water system. The pressure drop when refilling is so low that my system pressure pump constantly turns on and off for 15 minutes instead of remaining on through the refilling process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That’s not normal - mine fills in 30-60 seconds at a guess

it is very difficult to judge this from a distance. What we can say for sure, is that the cistern-valve needs at least 0,5 bar flow-pressure in order to work properly. All other factors are best discussed with a GROHE partner near you.

Think safety while cutting the plastic tubes
I have one similar which all of a sudden the small button (least amount of water) isn't outputting that much water. The plate looks fine (air comes.out when pressed). Do you have any tips? Thanks.

Recently I bought a Grohe Solido product. During installing the water valve I got a queation. After installing the insulation valve, should I leave the hole without seal? I worry about water damage because my house is a wooden house. My paper instruction shows me a part which should be connected to the external water pipe(in my case, my plumber used a PE-RT pipe). But that part is missing. On this video, the pre-installed external waterpipe is connected to a metal piece. What is that? Where can I buy it? It would be nice if you can answer me as soon as possible.

What is the size of the threaded rods?

HI what is the minimum you can have the frame located from the wall (230mm is maximum size), I have created a space but its only have 160mm
Dear Stuart, 230mm is the maximum with our normal wall angles. Minimum dimension depends on the drain pipe, if you start from the element only (without drain pipe) it is 130mm.

Hi there, trying to install the Grohe cube toilet but the right bolt is loose and then makes toilet wobbly, any ideas please? Bolt dosent appear to be sturdy and strong like the left one?!

When flushing, the water comes out so strong that it spills a bit out of the toilet. Is there a way to change the angle of the flushing water or reduce the pressure of the flush?

thank you for your comment. This depends on the type of toilet and the type of cistern you have. With most GROHE cisterns you have the possibility of installing a purge flow throttle which limits the amount of water per flush. Please contact your local GROHE partner for support in this matter.

My plumber has installed the isolation valve outside the cisterns. He says in an emergency shutdown one doesn’t has to access and remove the conceal part where as this is exposed and easily accessible citing it as an alternative method of installation. Please advise if this correct?
Hello Adam,
this is difficult to judge from a distance, but with a concealed cistern you will always need to remove the flush plate before you can access the interior of the system. As such, having the isolation valve outside the cistern would mean you cannot access it by removing the flushplate alone, so, how would you access it in case of an emergency shutdown?

@@GROHE HI GROHE thanks for replying. Did contact the Grohe and they too advise to place it inside the tank/behind the flush-plate so to keep it concealed. This I guess is more to do with aesthetics ( correct me if otherwise) since the whole thing is concealed and that isolation valve peeping out from the side as exposed will be an eyesore. So keeping it outside provides access in case of emergency shutdown - that's what our plumber maintains (unless he's messed it up and this may require a re-work) I can send you the pics of the site to show you as the site is under under construction. of course aesthetics play a role as well, which is probably why you chose a concealed cistern in the first place. 😊
You could send some pictures to your local GROHE partner, as they can judge better what happens with an emergency shutdown on your location. Furthermore, it might be good to inform yourself on how many times per year you experience an emergency shutdown and what this exactly means for your water supply in the cistern. Usually, during a water cut-off, you will have no water coming into the cistern and as soon as the water is turned back on, the cistern will fill itself back up again. As such, we do not see the need for a direct access - especially not since getting the flushplate off is not such a time consuming effort.

Can these be installed inside a 6 inch stud wall and not against a masonry wall?

What's the different between this and the Rapid SL?
Hello, the one in the video is the more economical DIY variant Solido, Rapid SL is the variant for the installer. The actual cistern is identical. With the Rapid SL, the blue frame is already fitted and an angle valve with feedthrough is included in the delivery. In the case of the Solido model, the blue frame must be fitted and a simple angle valve without a feedthrough is included.

Im building a house in a country where we use 20 cm cement blocks for walls. The conractor cut the wall and made space for the tank ; so now we have 10 cm of block left where the tank will be placed and fixed in. Is this safe and correct? Is 10 cm of block enough?

Hello, a 10 cm cement wall is usually sufficient to securely hold a pre-wall element such as 387720021. A professional installation is of course important. 😉

I have succesfully installed the Rapid SL version of this item. Did anyone else find the instructions a little confusing ? almost over engineered' a common German fault! However the unit itself is superb. !0 marks for the WC = zero for the instructions!

I have installed a very similar GROHE wall-hung toilet, but with this wall mount: ruclips.net/video/nq_by1ehNGY/видео.html (it comes together from GROHE) Main idea of this mounting system from Fischer is that there are no nuts. But now it is impossible to firmly pull the toilet itself to the wall. As a result, the toilet dangles and there is no way to fix it more firmly. Someone can advise something?

Agree, I’d have to build out the wall with blocks of wood to take the brackets. I’ve made it as tough as possible, but the sizes given don’t work with the provided bracket length.

Then you should have enough space to put the pneumatic hose back on the drain valve. Alternatively, the drain valve can be pulled out upwards (it's just plugged). Then the hose can be reconnected and the drain valve can be reinserted.

Where are CLEAR instructions how to set the water level that it fills to. NOT the overflow level, but the mechanism to actually stop the water at a certain height. My new cistern fills right to the top of the overflow setting. The silly diagrams that are supplied supposedly for 100 languages fail to explain clearly.
