How to be a comedian: (according to Tim Hawkins himself): Live life , take notes , and tell strangers!
I feel like that’s where the best comedy comes from 😊
The only different between you and Tim is the microphone...and...
@@timsmith2525 TALENT……………… lol 🤣
❤️❤️❤️
Pretty sure that was first "according to Jerry Seinfeld", and "according to George Carlin", and so on....
Hilarious without F bombs and sex jokes. I love this dude. 😂👍
It's actually vary easy to keep profanity to a minimum and still get laughs
@@axelwulf6220 That doesn't make profanity acceptable.
@@axelwulf6220 yep! it can be done....
@@deutschegeschichte4972 you can insult and hurt someone with clean words .... or you can say things with "bad-words" that actually don't offend anyone.... it's all about the context and meaning behind how you deliver your thoughts.. But I do agree 100% that you don't need to curse like a drunken sailor to make people laugh and enjoy the show .... ( just my 2 cents..)
I'm a grown adult ... I've heard all the bad words .... and I've heard most of the good ones too ! being well over a half century year old now , I just don't get offended easily by words ....
sometimes entertainers use profanity as filler while they are thinking of the next thing to say .... somewhat like " ummm" or "yeahbut" or other fillers.. LOL I suppose you just need to know your audience and what they enjoy and prefer to hear.... that's the bottom line !
After my ex-wife walked out on us, I had to be very "frugal" with my money while raising two sons. One way was to buy a large box of their favorite breakfast cereal, Fruit Loops; save the box and refill it with the cheep bag brand.;the Fruit Loops knock off. My sons never knew the difference. This is another lesson in,
"Never Let Your Left Hand Know What Your Right Hand Is Doing."
Good idea
The smart ’keep the peace’ method!!
What they don’t know won’t hurt them.. LOL..
You, sir, are brilliant! Bravo!
I did that with ketchup!!!! Lol!! They never knew!!!
When my oldest turned 13, she wanted to go to a Tim Hawkins show for her birthday, so that’s what we did! And this definitely brings back memories of that night, we laughed so hard! She even made a poster telling him she chose to celebrate her birthday with him, and he acknowledged it. She definitely had a great birthday that year!
That's so awesome that he acknowledged her! I'm sure she was thrilled. I know I would be!
@@kareninalabama she was! It was so sweet😊 And of course I was thrilled as a mama that she’s a Tim Hawkins fan! There’s so much vulgarity out there that she could have latched onto instead.
That's great stuff! I'm glad you and your daughter had such a great time at the show .. my youngest grand-daughter is 13 ... ( yeah I know.. I'm OLD! lol) she reminds me all the time ... grandpa this grandpa that ! LOL
LOL! We shop at Aldi and my oldest calls them "bootleg" groceries.
Tim Hawkins is the funniest ( and clean) comedian we've ever seen. My husband and I are decided groupies, for sure. Thanks Tim for keeping us in stitches🤣
We were pretty poor growing up. We always had good food to eat as my family had a huge garden and raised beef, chickens and rabbits. But I never got the stuff that other kids had in their lunchboxes or what I saw on the commercials during Saturday morning cartoons.
I can still remember when Capri Suns came out I wanted one so bad.
Years later I bought a box of Capri Suns. I drank like 6. I was 17 and used my first paycheck from pizza hut. 😊
Beef assistant 😂😂😂
Hydrox was actually started before Oreo and always tried to live up to the success of it's younger brother. The founders of both cookies were also brothers
Read the story on that... very interesting!
I do agree with Tim on this.. sounds like some acne medicine lol
Wow. interesting story. Yeah, marketing is king
I never had Hydrox, but I have heard that Oreo is actually the copycat.
Wasn't Hydrox Sunshine brand? 🤔
Tim Hawkins is awesome & hilarious! Protect this man at ALL costs!! 😂
This is helping me through a tough time. Thank you.
I remember toasted oats from Aldi when I was a kid. Tasted like the cardboard box it came in. Funny thing.. now that I'm an adult, guess where I do some of my shopping?
I love Aldi!
Don't knock Aldi Mr. Kuntz. 🙂 That place is great. And their toasted oats taste exactly like honey nut cheerios.
Another Aldi fan here. In addition to their food, I've gotten some great gadgets from Aldi, including my cordless drill!
@@kareninalabama I'm currently mowing 7 properties, and the leaf blower I use is from Aldi. It's a cheap little battery one. Granted, the battery doesn't last long enough when I do the church property, because the parking lot is large, but that little leaf blower does fine for all the residential places I cut.
So, absolutely you can get some nice gadgets from there.
Thanks an out loud laugh without bad language
Been subscribed for years, waiting for new material. Vindicated at last. I chuckled through the whole bit, until the Ezekiel bread part when I startled my cat with my gut spawned guffaw.
Remember when generic foods were on black and white boxes?I’m writing this as I drink my Dr. thunder from pic n save lol
We just picked up some Toasted Holes at ALDI the other day.
And they taste exactly like honey nut cheerios. They're delicious; we buy them all the time.
Thank God for Tim Ha-Ha-Hawkins! (This is gold!)
Fun fact! Hydrox were the original sandwich cookie. After a falling out between the guys who created it one went on to start the national biscuit company (nabisco) and created the Oreo as a direct competitor and even bought shelf space and told their stockers to put Oreos up front and hydrox in back. The whole story is a rather interesting feud, I recommend looking it up!
After years of Dr. Thunder, I still like it better 🤣🤣
Ditto. Sometimes Mr. Pibb, too
You just like the extra garlic! They can also call it a vegetable substitute. 😊
Same here!
Mom didn't but Shasta, she bought Fresca. That way, she knew us kids wouldn't touch soda with a 10-foot pole. This is back in the late '60s early '70s, before they made it taste "drinkable."
I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for the laughs Tim
I love ezekiel bread…Lol. That’s ok Tim how about powdered milk…that what we drank growing up. A can of Campbell soup divided between 4 kids. Plus a half of peanut butter sandwich. That’s how you stay skinny. My mom made cookies called Rocks. They tasted like hard rocks. She always over baked them. David could of killed Goliath with those suckers. Who needs rocks, just my moms cookies. 😝🤪😋😂❤️ Have a blessed day everyone! ❤️👍☘️☘️👍❤️
I grew up with same kind of mom 😅
Black and Yellow here: No Name. Now mind you, some of that stuff is good. skin on french fries are amazing!
TIM IS HILARIOUS! ❤ I wish he’d do a tour again. I freakin’ LOVE his standup. LOL.. 😂 LOVE IT! ❤
Hydrox was the original cookie,Oreo was the imitation. It won the cookie war by having the better name. And Dr Thunder is as good as Dr Pepper.
Dr. Thunder is objectively trash
Hydrox was better than Oreo.
@@midwestmatthew9752I only knew Oreo, I didn't know that it was another name before.
True/false
Dr thunder is nowhere near as good 👍
Amen Hal to your Dr. Thunder comment. And a fun fact most people don't realize is that a large percentage of generic sodas are made by the exact same companies who make the name brands, often in the exact same factories using the same machines and same ingredients.
Quite often the only difference between the two is simply the package, name, and advertising, and yet, obviously it works because people are fooled all the time into thinking the name brand tastes better, even when it's the same thing.
I laughed so hard I had to hit my inhaler 😂
vape pen? LOL
Tim your definitely one of the best comedians I’ve ever seen. And Ive seen like three so I know.
😂 I've seen him live 3 times. One time I drove to Austin to see him & then he came to the church down the street the week after ... Lol
I met him, he's a great guy. I remember when my mom was watching Tim Hawkins at our friends house, and I walked in, and I said "hey I know him." My mom didn't believe me😅😅, until she was doing laundry, and she saw one of my shirts that had his autograph on it😅😅
We hardly ever got Pop Tarts, we got Toster Pasteries or Toast Tarts
And no, they didn't toast right, at all
Either they were under cooked or burnt
regardless of how you wish to tell your story and make people laugh and entertain them , I think you need to have comedic skills in the way you think! whether you use profanity or do it clean , you still have to be funny , fun , entertaining and relatable ! and he's got it going on ..... nice work!
Put Tim Hawkins right next to Jim Gaffigan 💯😂😂
Lol! Toasted holes ha ha, it DID it home. Major flashbacks with a lot of giggle! 😂
0:36 hahaha. Yep....that's Aldi. hahaha. We shop there. LOL.
Oh I’m so excited he’s going to be in my area this month in person doing a show. I’m so there 😊
Save more money by doing generic when you can! Inflation is crazy right now!
Beef Assistant and zit juice!!! 😂😂😂
I’m here because I watched a video that was 13 years old and so funny and true I wanted to see if he was still around. I sent it to all my friends. It was called the government can. I’m glad I found this channel
Saw Tim on Thursday in Toccoa GA.
Hilarious as usual. Touches every heart with laughter. Funniest Bit ever was his description of his previous jobs!!
"Beef assistant", THAT'S perfection!!!!!!
Another good one
Hey now, Shasta grape was pretty darn good lol
I loved the black cherry!
I remember their slogan, "It hasta be Shasta!", as well as the mountain picture on their cans.
@Darla Haines My favorite was the 80s pop song 🎵 Don't give me that so-so soda, the same old cola, I wanna rock and roll-a. I wanna pop! (...pop...pop...) I wanna... Shhhhhhasta!
@@darlahaines6928 Crazy how those little catch phrases stick in the brain. "Don't ya wanta Fanta?"
My favorite comedian is making me laugh again!! 😂
This made me laugh out loud. I have to say though, I loved Hydrox back in the day!
Great bit😂
Hahaha, I was the weird kid who actually preferred the cheap cereals! :D I remember thinking that was the only cereal there was. And then when I tried the boxed cereals I thought.... man it's just not as good as the "normal" cereal! :D
I like Shasta! except for the cola, it was beyond nasty!
Flashbacks for sure! Hilarious!
I want a pop, pop, pop...I want a Shasta! Good stuff! I actually have a 12 pack of Dr. Thunder in my fridge right now! I grew up on the generic groceries in the black and white package (and I still buy the store brand whenever possible...what can I say, I'm a sucker for a "Great Value"). They even had generic cigarettes and beer in the black and white packaging way back when. Those were the days!
I know all the brands he said. Hilarious.
I remember hydrox cookies 😂
Oh, I love this man... lol.....
I love your jokes! You are such a gift!!!
I lost it at “8 more years of hell!”
Love Tim Hawkins! GOOD, CLEAN FUN!
😂 YAS! Those discount, off brand stores were practically where we lived when I was growing up.
A good 'switcheroo" is buying ground turkey instead of ground beef, since it's much çheaper and healthier! Don't let your kids see you cook the turkey since it turns white, not brown and they will catch on. I made spaghetti, chili, sloppy joes, casseroles etc with ground turkey for YEARS, and none of the family had a clue 😁 They always mmmmmed through the whole meal
Spot on!! 😂😂
This was great!
We had Fruity Os!
😂so good!
Funny I laughed all the way through
FREAKING HILARIOUS!!!!!🤣🤣🤣 Love him!
This is spot on!!!! I talk about this all the time! Lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hydrox cookies tasted way better than Oreo. They just had a name that sounded like they were made in a chemistry lab. Unfortunately, to me, Oreos taste like they came from a chemistry lab!
Beef Assistant!
I gotta find me a grocery store like that.
2:16 Hydrox sounds like a laundry detergent, not an Oreo type of cookie. LOL. :)
Pretty funny bits.
Good flashbacks though, good memories!!
As I sit here sipping on my Dr Thunder...... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
White generic label groceries were a big thing in my area back in the late 70's. One of the local breweries put out "BEER." They even sold an 8.5x11 white cardboard card that had "BEER" centered on the sign, and then in small letters at the bottom, "Ask for it by name."
0:13 that raspberry. 😂
In Australia we grew up with either homebrand or black & gold
It has to be Shasta! I loved their Root Beer!
I loved Shasta!
0:34 sack o crap 😂
So funny, thanks Tim Hawkins
My boyfriend is a die-hard Dr Pepper fan, and accepts no substitutions! 😂 I remember Mama and Daddy bringing home several cans of Shasta, like the Black Cherry Flavor, and some of my relatives bought "ice milk", instead of ice cream, or even "mellorine".
Tasted like Ezekiel bread with milk on it.... 😂🤣
You have to have had Ezekiel bread to fully appreciate that one. Seriously, I’d never have bread again rather than eat that stuff.
When even the discount groceries are off-brand.
YES! New content!!
I find it funny when I hear people talk about Dr. Thunder and Shasta..
As a kid, I would specifically ask my parents to get Dr. Thunder, and as a teen, my family moved to a place right down the road from a David's, and I fell in love with Shasta.
And I still to this day, partially to save money, but partially because it's what I love, I usually by Dr. K from the Kroger I work at.
I still drink the name brand, but store brand soda will always have a place in my heart.
only time i had Shasta was on a plane or in a hospital
Hilarious love the clean comedy
Hydrox were made 9 years before Oreos. The chocolate wafer was made with dark chocolate. Nabisco was a conglomerate of bakeries National Biscuit Company. Sunshine was bought by Leaf.
"That's not the name of a coookie!"
Fun fact. hydrox was around BEFORE Oreos!
LoL!!! I'm glad he had it so good. We got organic versions of name brand stuff growing up while all my friends got the off brand
I didn't grow up with generic groceries, as they didn't exist back then. There were only name brands. That meant that the grocery store was smaller and had only a small cereal section, rather than a whole aisle like today.
Ok here’s the thing Dr. thunder is actually just as good as Dr. pepper 🤷♂️
I still have an Albertson's that have those grey doors. For years it was do bad you had to keep every part of your close away from everything while CV you were trying to see, wash your hands, at the same time praying that no one will come through the door with a broken lock
😳
Cereal sold in bags is the worst!
clean comedy love Tim
Loved Hydrox over Oreos. Glad someone else remembers them!
Fun fact: Hydrox cookies came before Oreos.
And Hydrox is the GOOD one, just poorly named. I've heard it's available in limited areas. I still love them...WAY better than Oreos. I hope they make a comeback, whatever name they are under! Even "Droxies " wasn't a great name. In the new world, there is hope!
❤
The grey doors
2:50-2:56- Santa Claus is comin to town! LOL!
That a whole lot of get up and go in a very small package.
He'll yeah.
I love him❤🎉😂
Please tell me there is a new DVD/Digital movie coming soon of a new comedy act. I own all of them!
My favorite generic cereal name is "Crispy Hexagons", which I bought from a grocery store called "Shop 'N Save". Imitation Crispix, I believe it was.
I remember King Vitamin...tasted like capn crunch...and puffed rice, loved it.
Grandparents drank RC
