I know it was Ozzy’s night but not one photo or mention of Jake E Lee. Jake was hugely influential in keeping Ozzy relevant after Randy. And the dude was just shot up the other day and Ozzy put out a public statement wishing him well. Just thought that was strange. I guess the same can be said for Bob Dailey who essentially wrote all of Ozzy’s hits.

Ozzy one of the most fortunate people in hard rock because of the collaborators he's had. The struggle for directly( financially) acknowledging a number of them over decades is notable and not commendable. Sharon saved his life and screwed other musicians'lives.

Breaks my heart that while Ozzy was getting all the accolades at the RRHF ceremony Jake E Lee is in the Hospital recovering from multiple gunshot shot wounds. If it wasn’t for all the players who made John Osbourne become who he is, he would have disappeared into obscurity after being fired from Black Sabbath. He really needed to thank and acknowledge not only Randy Rhodes but also Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, Jake E Lee, Brad Gillis, and more. All his wife Sharon did for his career is cheat these people out of their publishing rights and royalties. Jake E Lee wrote Bark at the moon and deserves the credit and retroactive royalties.

Damn right he was entitled to that money. I'm saying. People are always getting screwed out of monetary compensation by managers, agents etc. You just gotta keep riding on those people to receive their earnings. Takes time. More time for others, but that's why you have lawyers and the right to sue. That's all.

I agree about Jake and we may never know why he has been shunned by Sharon so badly having said that Ozzy like any top artist in any musical genre needs to surround themselves with the best musicians they can attract. We can’t have a go at Ozzy for that. Every great act does it from Elvis to Sinatra to Diana Ross.
I think if Sharon wasn’t Ozzy wife and just his manager she would have been well gone by now - she’s the mother of his kids ffs so he will go with her in the end.

"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show." -Del Preston, Wayne's World 2 😂
