I have had a 2019 Jetta S trim with the manual 6 speed trans for two weeks and so far I love it. For me at least I really like the exterior looks and I feel it is likes coup looking with the lines. At 850 miles (150 away from engine break-in) I have averaged 37 MPG but have not gone full send with max throttle yet. Pretty sure this is one of the few compact sedans that even offer a manual. Fun and peppy yet very smooth on the road. Great option for an low cost 4-door with really great rear seating room plus the fuel sipping 1.4l turbo gets you going quite well. Highly recommended...
I think there's a good chance that the new Arteon will come out and everyone will forget about the Passat. This practically happened at Audi as I predicted. The A5/S5 sportback models are their most popular models now.
Let’s take a moment and reflect on how the woman talking in this video sounds very much like “Kim Wexler” from “Better Call Saul.” Very nice looking car for the money too.
I drove this car because I like thinking trade in my sonata 2017 but after this test I keep my Hyundai. This jetta drive like Toyota Corolla and the interiors fell like Corolla too. Trying 3 differents jetta and the 3 make noise between 2 and 3 shifts. Passat is better option only bad look out date in the interior. Overall jetta is good looking car.
At least the RLine doesn't have those awful cheese slicer wheels I keep seeing in other videos. These at least look worthy of a German brand.
You aren't the only one who feels that way. I have seen many comments about them.

The digital cockpit and the colored lights are STANDARD on SEL and up. Not optional.
The takeaway here is: that could change.
But did that change ?
Nice, Bryan!
I owned a 95 Jetta 2.0. What a difference!
Manufactured in USA, is that right? Not Mexico plant.
no CVT!...I currently lease an Elantra 2017 and the lease ends tomorrow...am picking up an Rline tomorrow
Lol she went from talking about different drive modes to different ambient lighting in the car. 😂 Is there a Sport, Comfort, or Eco mode?
AWSOME VECHILE 5*****!
When are they announcing the new Passat design?

Are they going to make a GLI? I hope they do
The rumor says yes. It will use the same 2.0l from the Golf GTI and it will also be available in a manual. But, that's all from the rumor mill.
Out in December!
Not much chemistry there, Bryan. I felt for ya, bro! Good job though. Is the R-Line a lower level Jetta?
Yup. I guess she saw my VW Atlas video.

it starts to struggle at 40 what a piece
It's only a 1.4l car for college kids. What were you expecting, a blast from its former glory of the vr6?

Sup sweetie
I like my 2010 Wolfsburg jetta much better.
