I’ve flown the Lear 23 & 24, among others. A real rocket. I couldn’t help but feel like it was riding a Harley every time I pulled up to ramps.

I used to fuel some of Clays jets back in the 1980s when I was a fueler at FBO Oasis Petroleum a few buildings down from Lacy Aviation. When a 23 would take off, the entire airport would stop to watch. These monsters were loud, shrill screaming polluting missiles. Before the days of EPA, hush kits and noise regulations. They were outrageous little jets.

That was an interesting digression from the normal episodes. I really enjoyed the selection of music at the end for the walk around.

Clays personal Jet. I saw it fly in 2004. Its too bad that you didn't shown off the murals in the cabin.

I'll ask Greg to see if we can get some snaps of those - we try and keep folks out of the inside of the jet to preserve it.

Not made like this anymore. A rocket ship... fighter jet disguised as a business jet. The FPM climb is insane for a business jet (23/24/25).

I wonder if you could improve the aircraft with a power plant retrofit using some of the newer more fuel efficient turbofans like a Williams or a Pratt. I know the CJ-610's guzzle fuel

It would be cost ineffective. New engines cost too much thus 1000s wen to scrap or were abandoned post 2015.

Enjoyed your video. I am a big fan of Lear jet history. I have to correct you on your pronunciation of Bombardier. Phonetically in English you are saying it correctly. Bomb da deer. This is someone who drops bombs on a target. However. the name of the company that bought Learjet phonetically is pronounced Bom Bar dee eh. Its French Canadian. Same spelling different pronunciation so it can be confusing.
