(Sorry for the Jane-come-lately) It's really easy to cause a misfeed by not pulling back far enough. Took me several games to really get the hang of it, and slamfire definitely exacerbates that
Yeahhhhh normally I would say slam fire is just a cool feature for those who use it in most blasters and something you can ignore if you don’t use it. But in this case, it kinda gets in the way
I just got this and I love it! It was on sale at Amazon Canada for awhile so I grabbed it! It was able to take my homemade half-darts unlike the Aeon pro where I had feeding issues with the mags. I used the "Full Vinyl Jackets" and halved them. The knock-off elite darts by EKIND and boy do they pack a punch! My BF all jumping and nervous lol. I don't think that would be fair in a standard Nerf war. Only thing I can really complain about is I keep hitting my forearm as I prime it. It's kind of awkward.
I would say try switching to a horizontal pump grip like the one on the Stryker or an angled foregrip and see if that helps. Or get the talon mag adapter from Bo Bo innovations and that would fix the problem too. I’ll be showing that off in a new video coming out this weekend.
